Hi,
I am just about to use the the academictermpapers.com but they have asked if I could do the payment over the phone. Is that some common procedure or is this site a fraud site ? i would really appreciate your help.

Dear miszon17,

Finding a legit online academic assistance agency takes a lot of sacrifice. You need to check online reviews about individual companies before making a decision to pay your hard-earned bucks. While some sprouting legit writing agencies may not have these reviews, you should take your time discussing with one of their representatives /writers and learn more from them. Do not commit yourself before you learn about the legitimacy of online writing agencies. In case you have any further questions regarding academic writing assistance, kindly do write back.

Best regards.

There are quite a few online tools that can help you make a sort of guesstimate whether a website is legit or scam. However, to my knowledge, there is no one-stop solution to date.

However, two resources that can certainly guide you in all situations whatsoever are Use-Your-Brain.Com and Do-Some-Prior-Googling.Com.

If possible try to avoid payment via phone and only use payment methods. I prefer paypal method coz its safe.

I'd be wary of any essay provider (company or freelancer) that only accepts payment through methods that are anonymous. At least with PayPal, both parties are known to the intermediary and there are some dispute procedures if something goes wrong. If you pay by wire transfer or Western Union (etc.), there's nothing you can do if you get ripped off. In any case, and regardless of payment method, you should always try out any new essay provider with a short project before you go for something more substantial and expensive, if possible.

takes a lot of sacrifice

I can't help but chime in about the goat I sacrificed to break into this business. W2B will be furious to know that I am bullying you, so please don't tell her.

goat

I have a feeling that goats strike a particular chord with trustedwriter.

W2B will be furious to know that I am bullying you, so please don't tell her.

Nope, because he's a scammer and spammer.

Academic Research PaymentI checked the site and here are the issues I found that may suggest it is a foreign / ESL entity:

- Prices: $7 per page.. expect an uneducated copy-paster to deliver (if ever) a plagiarized paper,

- Phones: (415) 269-5749 - looks like a mobile phone, it's not a real company. They also may use another phone: 800-777-7901 that appears to belong to some doctor,

- Email: some shady one, from an ISP provider.

- Pre-written papers - they resell papers, it's always a bad sign suggesting that they don't produce 100% custom essays, but either rewrite existing ones or send ones that had already been completed for other students. Me thinks that they resell all their "custom-written papers" and it may happen that your "new" paper had already been submitted via Turnitin by another student.

- There is no quick to contact them, either via live chat or a contact form.

Conclusion - not worth it unless you are a risk-taker and have patience of an angel :)

It is never a good idea to give your card information over the phone. That is a violation of your data privacy. You never know what these people might be recording. There are scam companies that record your conversation and, upon getting your private information, lead the conversation into a manner that will allow them to edit your recorded conversation so that they can use your card number online or through other methods. They mostly try to get you to say "Yes" as often as possible. That way, they can trick automated card systems to do things for them, in your name. So, always indicate that you will be paying electronically. It is best to keep your data as safe as possible.

This is a currently expired domain name. The rights to the name have reverted to GoDaddy.com and everyone is welcome to inquire about acquiring the domain. So discussing their shortcomings as a company is moot at this point. The potential buyer just needs to be informed of the background of the domain name and that it had a negative reputation in the academic writing industry. So it may not be a good fit for a company that will be using it for an academic business which may or may not be related to the writing field.
