Hi all,
I'm currently writing an article for the Oxford Student about oxbridgeessays.com and was wondering what your experiences have been with this site. If you feel more comfortable, please feel free to send me a personal message about your use of the site so we can discuss further.
We're interested in individuals who've either written essays for the site or those who've used the service, including both positive and negative experiences.
Thank you very much for your time!
WritersBeware
Why doesn't the university stop beating around the bush and just sue the owners of oxbridgeessays.com? All of the petty nitpicking and "articles" are silly.
There is only one thing that can describe oxbridgeessays.com - They send you a fat quote and give you garbage in return

Oxbridge Essays Avoid
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Just a caution for anyone considering using Oxbridge Essay oxbridgeessays.com or torg.co.uk same company. I paid over £1000 for their services but they did not deliver. I kept on getting various excuses from their director Stratos Malamatinas and finally the work had not even been done almost 2 months into the request. He then attempted to offer future discounts which I refused and asked for my refund. 3 weeks later am still awaiting for a refund and unable to use chargeback as paid via cash in bank. Anticipate commencing legal proceedings so watch this space and I think they might be struggling financially and would discourage anyone to use them. Has anyone else had any similar problems ???
Go their offices in London. That'll do the trick.
The company finally paid outstanding amount in Full after nil submission and poor communication.

Yes, I know the company you mean. I am having wranglings with their sister company, UK Essays. What a joke! I asked for some help in my research, as I was having to do a taught module on my MA in an area that was out of my comfort zone & needed to see what stance another researcher would take.
So, I pay and receive below par work, which I complain about & accept that the researcher will fix this.....hardly, it was still awful, in terms of technical analysis and useless grammar etc. Anyhow, my tutor kindly marked it, as I explained what had happened; she was shocked and gave it a minimum pass, not the merit I had paid £400 for. After 20 phone calls and numerous messages, I am being ignored. The last contact I had, was to ask me for my work. I explained that the issue was with theirs and what I had bought was not as described, therefore having no correlation to anything that I had written.
As I said to them, they are quick to take my money, yet not so quick on the up-take to fix it! Please avoid these bunch of pretenders and their off-shoots. I am unlikely to see either my money, amendments, or any other form of 'good will gesture.' In actual fact I write for people myself and do a far better job, asking for 50% up front on order and 50% after a satisfactory result. Anyhow, I am not done with them quite yet.....watch this space! Small claims court, Office of Fair Trading, if needs be!

thinking about using this site but could not find any latest reviews, can anyone shed lights
I considered using them but after reading numerous posts I concluded that it is safer to find my own writer, at least I have some control of who I am working with. with essay companies I gather, unless you've used them before you are going fully blind.
I considered using them
I personally skip companies that opt out of being discussed in public. If something goes wrong you have no recourse.
I've recently used them, I got what I deserved, useless overpriced work. They really are dodgy and the work was barely in English, I asked for amendments three times and it was clear that they couldn't do the work they accepted money for. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!!! It's not worth it, they don't have experts, they don't do refunds and they don't deliver to a good standard
I recently made the terrible mistake of using Oxbridge essays, I have no defence, I did the wrong thing. To make sure no one else makes the mistake I did, I'm happy to include the work they sent me so people can see the poor standard they deliver. Avoid cooper Thomas too, he's smooth on the phone but is as dodgy as it gets
Hi HabibShrukry, I'm making a radio documentary about Oxbridge Essays and would be interested in hearing your story, under anonymity. Please can you email me at paulpalm@aol? Thanks, Paul
It's weird that there aren't any recent posts about OBE, do they all get taken down or is most of their stuff positive? Anyway I used them and can safely say that they are garbage. Should never use them ever, they are dodgy scum bags that provide tenth rate material
Same, said already but amazed that all comments about them are years old, I guarantee they're still total scum now as well
I guarantee they're still total scum
I'm not sure I'd agree with you on that. I've ever used them
Really? I'm curious to know how it went, LIAR
My youngest brother used them, their work look like total ****. And I mean "might as well copy it straight from wikipedia" ****. They're a scam company.
I also can show people the work they produce, not a problem doing that at all just so there's no accusations of lying. It's marked as "OBE" in the text.
@prs48
You tried to contact me as well a while back, know you work for OBE, not fooling anyone mate.
Used Oxbridge essays myself a few years back, the end result was mediocre despite at least 300£ that I´d spent.
I've been to Sweden -- high taxes and pretty women. I can live with that combination.

Anyone have any recent dealings with this company?
The only reason that this company is still in business is because the students are misled by the .co.uk address in the domain name. Students go there thinking it is reputable site. Specially since they have a fake UK address that leads to nowhere in the actual country. By the way, the website is also a scam in the sense that it plants malware into the computer system of the person accessing the site. If one does not have a reliable malware protection system installed, then the person's system becomes vulnerable to this infection and could unwittingly give away his personal data in the process. Definitely stay far away from that site.
The reason I strongly urge students not to use the site is, aside from their unreliable service, is because of the way that the site is set up as a phishing site. I have noticed that this has become an increasing trend with these essay writing companies and students need to be fully aware of what happens to their information when they access these sites.

Good that you mention this as well. Phishing remains a common practice among these types of websites, but I don't see it discussed as much as it used to be. I think that some people, in general, don't think of essay service companies as being risky in terms of them inserting malware and tracking your actions and info.
If someone has started getting an unusual amount of spam/junk email, chances are they've visited one of these types of websites. Even a few seconds on a website is enough for these companies to gain a foothold. I'm not a techie by any means, but I do try to watch the types of websites I visit, which can be hard sometimes since researching is part of my daily work. ;)
Edited to add: Here's some interesting info on "phishing kits" and what unsuspecting victims can watch for: csoonline.com/article/3290417/security/csos-guide-to-phishing-and-phishing-kits.html. While this article also talks scammer trying to come off as being from a legit website such as Microsoft, etc., the same practices are used by scammers in the essay business.
@writer4life due to the line of work that I am in, I have several layers of security installed into all my gadgets / systems. Malware detection software being one of them. That is how I discovered that these websites have a knack for trying to plant all sorts of outgoing codes into a system. They more or less use malware, pup, malvertising, and the like these days. All of which are readily blocked by an up to date malware detection tool. I have become so reliant on my security systems that I sometimes forget to be careful about clicking on links. Well, not the links that come by email. I never click on those even if it comes from my employer at the time. I always use the cut and paste system to be sure the site is safe.
I once worked for a company that required me to access exterior websites through active links in their system. The problem is that I was using my own system to link to the sites and my malware tool kept kicking in to block the sites. These were actually academic writing websites whose names I will not mention due to DND rules.
Every time, I would get a full screen warning about how dangerous the site is, what data it tries to collect, and that my access was blocked because of it. I can't tell you how relieved I was that the program caught the problems that I would most likely never have noticed. Needless to say, I eventually resigned from that company. I wasn't getting much work done because my security system kept blocking the sites I was supposed to be working on. Hahaha !
Going back to the OP, I believe the person was actually sent to ES to gather information from the students. The company sent someone in to help them gather information for their "reviews" . Note that the OP was asking the user to contact him privately. That tells me the person wanted the information, but not for public consumption, which is what this forum was designed for. I believe the information, had it been provided, would have been used to create fake reviews for their website. The "negative" reviews being part of the ploy. The negative aspect would probably be used to help the company cover its tracks better when it came to non-delivery of the paper to clients or, inform them of which writers in their roster they could have fired for "lack of quality".
The company claims that they do not use AI generated essays. Let us clarify that point. The company does not use AI generated essays, but there is nothing that will prevent their writers from using AI to assist with their essay writing or having AI generate the full essay with some revisions done by the human. Just enough revisions to get beyond the company AI detecting tools. In these cases, it would be better for you to seek a human independent writer instead of going with a company that outsources your essays. A human being who is working for himself will not jeopardize his work by using AI because he wants repeat business from the client. I cannot say the same for the company affiliated writers who are chasing a quota in order to meet the minimum payout requirements of the company, which, as far as I have been told, is starting to border on unreasonable values in relation to payouts these days.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.
The company claims that they do not use AI generated essays. ... but there is nothing that will prevent their writers from using AI
Correct. At least with traditional plagiarism, companies could monitor their writers' work by using plagiarism scanners. When it comes to AI, essay companies have no way of knowing; so any related guarantees are worthless.
