REAL online chats with selected essay writing websites (my own research)

As some of you may have noticed in a previous thread where I asked about the desired features of an essay writing website, I was planning to design a website to help students with their research and writing. I didn't know the essay industry very well, so I decided to do my own research to see what my competition offers.

How I tested?

I went to Google and Bing and selected essay writing sites that offered live chat support. Obviously I didn't test all websites (probably it's only 1-2%). But there was a reason why I didn't test more sites (see below*).

Important Notes:

1. In my research I only included the sites that indicated (by the "LIVE" or "ONLINE" status) that the chat support is live and available to talk to me. Interestingly, most sites that had "ONLINE" status had nobody available when I tried to chat ;).

2. I tried to ask similar questions to make my research reliable and unbiased.

2. I didn't focus on the location of the site, I didn't care about it in my research. I only wanted to make sure my project would be completed according to my standards and instructions.

Conclusions:

It wasn't my goal to select 'the best' website because in fact I write my essays myself. I just wanted to see how the online chat works on such websites and if it's effective and customer friendly. Let the reader decide (but what is more important - let the reader does his/her own chat before making any financial decision!).

It took some operators a lot of time (more than 30-60 seconds) to answer one simple questions and some of them probably used canned responses. That indicated some of them could not be native English speakers.

* I was seriously anxious and surprised with one thing - I noticed that there are many websites that actually belong to the same company but they are different websites. And these websites rank very well in search engines (by interlinking between each other). To me it is wrong because the client is in a way tricked into buying from one of these sites and the buying experience is poor. I think these sites should clearly display that they are from one particular company and that they have the same customer service and/or writers. If someone has a list of such sites it would be helpful for the buyer to determine and select only UNIQUE companies, not the same company with different websites.

I hope my research will be useful for the readers.

Is this part of your conclusion or just an unsubstantiated opinion?


Why should the buyer select companies that have only 1 website when such companies usually only have 1 site because they are run by just one person who can't afford the maintenance of multiple sites?

Don't get me wrong, the chats that you provided are interesting (it would have been better if you asked for quotes though). I just think that your conclusions are baseless and your recommendations are self-serving (no personal offense meant there, I just couldn't find more euphemistic words).

It's my subjective opinion.


Because it's a waste of time. Imagine you shop for a new car and you know you don't like Hondas. But when you drive down the street you are forced to visit each and every dealer, including all Honda dealers (the equivalent of visiting each and every site) because they don't have the "Honda Dealer" sign displayed (or they hide this sign somehow).

Some interesting stuff, but a lot of it is also complete lies. I know I ***** about UVO a lot on this site, but there are reasons. They own (or rather, their parent company Brownie Freelance Ltd. owns) many of the duplicate websites Lewis complained about, including Custom Papers.com (the polite and reassuring Miriam). When I was writing for UVO, there were constant complaints of plagiarism (many of which were substantiated by the company's own comments), and almost all of their writers are ESL/EFL individuals with absolutely NO qualifications for writing an English paper...or grocery list, for that matter.

There is also no way for the customers to directly contact writers--all messages are reviewed by admin before being passed on. I have had my questions to customers go unanswered for a full day only to learn that admin had never bothered to pass it on. Once these companies have your money, they don't care about you because they know you won't be getting your money back.

I must say that i own Brownie Freelance and hence, I should be aware of all our web sites, but Custom Papers.com is not ours to my knowledge.

Another lie is that we dont do refunds. We do. Strictly according to our moneyback policy.

What I can accept is that there are many ESL writers, but their language skills are very good. Plagiarism cases are rare nowadays.

I'm not sure I really believe that you own Brownie Freelance, but if you do then you are a liar, cheat, and fraud, plain and simple. You treat your writers and your customers with a complete lack of respect, and your support staff doesn't speak English, making it rather difficult to determine skill...proof that you simply don't care about the quality of papers your EFL writers churn out for pennies on the dollar.

I don't claim that he owns--or claimed to own--custompapers.com. cocklejoe had commented on a false claim to own a bunch of scamming sites--I had read your comment to mean that cybermediaboy hadn't made such a claim. I think there's been some confusion here on all sides, but what it boils down to is this:

True. I just don't get why anyone would go on a website and brag about owning a site that does kids' homework for them.

Owners tend to show up here to attempt "damage control" after their scams have been outed. Most of the time, they just end up posting frustrated, false accusations and making things worse for themselves.

No WritersBeware - some people post here to point out that just because someone makes spurious accusations and tells lies about certain sites, these are just part of the paranoid fantasy of yours and other deluded souls. You post no real 'evidence' here at all - just your and others' opinions and storytelling, then spout venom at anyone who points this out. Very funny but not worth taking seriously.

Many such accusations are made by those connected with essay sites just wanting to disparage the competition; other insults are thrown by writers who have been dumped for being bad writers.

Some of us want to expose real scam sites but get tired of all the constant bickering and lying and insulting and false accusations that go on here. It's a shame no real site to expose scam sites and leave the non-scam sites alone exists. Best for all customers to realise that cheaper sites are often scams and to only use registered companies.

An accusation does not 'prove' a thing - you seem unable to grasp that simple fact. But then you are Russian apparently, so don't really have a tradition of law and democracy...

Why not tell us which site you work for - we all know that you diss any other site, all of which makes this whole EssayScam site a scam in itself.

My opinion would be that essay sites are cheat sites but have not the guts to admit that - though I realise some live under the delusion that helping kids cheat at their homework is a 'profession'.
