Reputable Essay Proofreading Services?

I know recommendations are not allowed; but is that just for essay writing. I am looking for a company to proofread my essay, not write it. Are their scams out there for that also? I have not read any post with this kind of information. I have seen some posts about a site that supposedly performs plagiarism checks but then they turn around and sell the essays they get.

If allowed, can anyone point me in the right direction for reputable proofreading?

Thanks for any help.

As for proofreading, i would recommend you to try Essay for me. The prices are much cheaper than at other websites and you can communicate with the writer during the writing process. Therefore, it is easier to get exactly what you need.

I have a good discount as a loyal customer so this website is fine for me when I have orders for many pages.
A piece of advice for those who are going to use Essay for me for proofreading - always indicate the correct page number so you get your whole paper fixed. Also, there is a cool option if you are afraid of plagiarism - a Turnitin report. Together with your paper, you are getting a pdf version of plagiarism report which shows the originality level in your paper.

I use proofreading services really often! My English is not too good but I do not want my grades to be reduced because of grammar mistakes or wrong sentence structure.

My favorite service for checking my errors is Writing paper - it is cheap and I have a special discount that lets me make the price even lower. Easy to use - the order form can be filled in even by a kid and payment can be made without any problems.

During the working process, you can chat with the writer and support team in order to make sure that everything is cool

Don't forget, if the proofreading service belongs to an academic writing company, there is a high chance that your paper will be read and edited by a non-native English speaker. Which means, the essay you wrote could end up worse than when it started. Since recommendations are not allowed on this site, I will not recommend a proofreading service but rather, encourage you to look up one of the more skilled native English speakers on this site who freelance their services. You can trust them to make the paper come out better than you originally wrote it and, you can bet that they won't scam you in the process of working on your paper.

If you must use a writing company for proofreading, then please, please make sure that you talk to them before hand. Make sure that the service representative really knows how to write in English before you sign up for any services. The most that you can do to protect yourself is at least get a mental assurance that these people really know what you need to get done with your paper before you pay their hefty fees.

Don't go for the cheap companies that give away discounts like candy. Any good and self respecting academic writer knows his worth and will charge reasonably, according to his skills. The companies will entice you with cheap prices because they know that their writers are only worth that much. Why go on the cheap when your grades are at stake? As my mom always tells me, "you pay for quality". So while the freelance writers may not come as cheap as the writing companies, you can bet the work you pay them will be worth the money paid.

Day-um. You just can't seem to get it right. Tell ya what. Here's some words to live by from Rush:

I trust that the OP is no longer looking for academic help a decade after starting this thread, but since it's already been revived:

As far as the issue of avoiding rip-offs goes, there's really no distinction between writing services and editing or proofreading services, because you'll be dealing with the same companies or independent providers; it's just a different type of service that any essay company provides. As mentioned above, the last thing you want is the typical ESL writer employed by many essay companies "proofreading" anything written by a NES (which is not meant to insult or even apply to the relative minority of qualified ESL writers at all).

Once in a while, someone sends me writing asking for "proofreading" that really only needs proofreading. Usually, whatever's presented to me as something to be proofread really needs heavy editing or substantial rewriting; almost as often, it isn't something even capable of being salvaged to turn it into a high-quality essay, at least not without more work on my end than simply writing the entire thing over from scratch.

Generally, if all it really requires is proofreading, whoever wrote the essay ought to be able to do that for himself after just letting the essay sit for a day or two before doing a "cold" read to catch missing or overused words, punctuation mistakes, and sentences whose ends don't match their beginnings, etc. If it requires anything more than the original author is capable of doing for himself, it's probably editing (at least) rather than proofreading that's required.

Proofreading services will always be required by students and professionals alike. So it may be best to keep this thread as active as possible. Yes, academic writing companies offer proof reading services. Yes, @Smiley73 is right that some of these companies employ ESL proof-readers, which will be detrimental to the student asking for the proof reading. In these instances, it would be better to hire a writer directly. That way the student can properly vet the language skills of the potential editor and avoid any potential proof reading problems that could result in a mangled essay and a charge back demand from the student.

While we all thought that proofreading would be the one field that AI would not be able to participate, here it s a few months later and we find out that they can revise, edit, and even rewrite the essay for the student. In fact, I know of some students who pay a human writer to generate their paper, then they send it off to AI for "improvement". Something that I cannot believe the program can do accurately but then I saw the work it could do and my mind was blown. While it cannot fully replace a human at that task yet. It just might do that in the future
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

If AI can really improve any essay provided by a human writer, that writer isn't qualified to be taking people's hard-earned money for his writing, in the first place.
