Proofreading is a specialized profession. PR does not save 'time'; it actually saves the writer from any unintentional errors that their eyes cannot read.

So proofreading is actually a fresh pair of eyes looking at a text from a different angle and so hopefully pinpointing the errors (in grammar, spelling, etc.) that the original writer couldn't have a hold on.

Writers can proofread their own work just fine as long as they know what they're doing.

hat the original writer couldn't have a hold on.

If the original writer "couldn't have a hold on" grammar and spelling, they shouldn't be working as a writer. You shouldn't be, either, but we've been over that before....

I was talking about the procedure followed by international companies such as Oxford, Cambridge and not the essay writing industry where proofreading is not a daunting task and so a writer should do it as part of the job.

Publishing houses - Oxford University Press, CUP, etc.

You mean the publishing arms of universities? These "publishing houses" expect relatively clean copy from their authors; they have editors that might catch these things and that focus on larger issues, and they might employ proofreaders to ensure that text is clean before being sent to print, but you still have to know the basic rules of spelling and grammar if you want anyone--especially universities--to take your writing seriously.

Are you facing difficulties in writing an introduction for your thesis? Hire the writers of academic paper professional writing company. Contact them through their website. When it comes to proofreading services, learn about using a library too. Here is a reference paper on that:

Library Standards

Library BooksUpon perusal of the ISAIL and "Standards for the 21st Century Learner in Action" documentations, I was able to acquire a deeper understanding of, and better appreciate the core and underlying message of all the standards through studying the breakdown; which was effectively - the deconstruction of literature, a thorough understanding through various points of view and a sound application of the information and knowledge gained.

I was especially pleased with the emphasis on creativity, and cultivating a love for reading in the NET-S standards. Particularly when contrasted amongst the importance placed on intellectual scrutiny in the Common Core Standards and 21st Century Learner Standards; this focus on pleasure through literature and the facilitation of novel thought, or "thinking outside the box" was a breath of fresh air and captured the root of popularizing libraries in the 21st century - encouraging and fostering young people or students to first enjoy the experience of amassing knowledge through reading. Only then, will a natural and willing adherence to the standards presented be possible, over time.

I was also interested in the section on self-assessment through reflection as relayed in Standards for the 21st Century Learner in Action. The role of reflection logs and reflective note taking in particular was a surprising realization for me to read about as it is something so simple and accessible, yet effective, but not very often taken advantage of or thought about, when one is a student.

Finally, the readings made me think about the incorporation of technology resources such as online encyclopedias and databases as a means to locate information in the higher grade's standards. With the current argument concerning what may be defined as a "reputable" source online versus what is not traditionally accepted in academic works such as references from wiki style arenas, this had me wondering how the revised standards documentations were going to systematically categorize and apply ranks of acceptance to them.

Another self serving endorsement allowed by the forum moderators to continue to exist at this forum after all these years. While I cannot be sure that this company representative still exists, or if the company is still around, what I would like to point out is the selective advertising always allowed in this forum. It is time we really stop saying endorsements are not allowed but rather, endorsements are allowed when framed properly and accepted as "non endorsement" by the admin.

There isn't a writer in the world who will not benefit from a proofreading service. However, if the proofreader is an ESL person, such as the OP above, then using him as a proofreader will be non-beneficial to the student. Always remember, it is not advisable to hire ESL proofreaders because the way they speak and spell will not pass muster in ENL learning fields. You need a proficient or fluent English speaker/writer to do that sort of proofreading.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

I'm sorry, but as a highly experienced professional NES writer who is, himself, a grammarian who also understands punctuation in my native language, I really don't need anybody else to proofread my work for me, particularly when I have fulfilled that very function at a high professional level, such as within my formal core duties as a Writer/Editor at a Federal Government agency. Certainly, I always do need to allow sufficient time for a "cold read" to proofread my own work in between completing my projects and delivering them, but the last thing I need is someone else to handle that very simple task for me. The same is likely the case for any other good NES writer with comparable skills and experience writing and proofreading other people's writing for a living.
