I guess these people think that those of us who are looking to have a paper written are stupid. I for one can write very good papers and never receive less that a B. I just did not have time to write my most recent assignment and against my better judgement tried out these lame people.

Data ResearchersAfter multiple excuses for not being able to meet their time commitment I finally received my paper over 12 hours late. I did a quick online plagiarism checker and discovered the whole paper was copy and pasted (100%) from a website.

I opened their online chat and proceeded to tell the person (same person I have gotten every time I use their customer service chat - ~10 times) that this was not a custom written paper. She repeatedly told me their writer must have used all the same sources. HA - How can two people - even using the same source - come up with the exact same verbage as another person? I even sent her the link for the website.

Long story short - after many threats - I finally got an email that I will receive a refund. Just to make sure I also filed a dispute with my credit card. I kept an archive of every single chat I had with that dumb person so I have plenty of context to back myself up.

Here is their website: dataresearchers.net/customers/

Never again will I use ANYONE to do something I can do much better myself!
There may be some legit services out there but I am not taking chances.

If they gave you a refund, why would you file a dispute? Or they haven't refunded you yet? Still, they at least communicate with you and some scam services would totally ignore you.

If you were just busy, then you have very poor time management skills. It doesn't make sense. The other students who are holding down part time jobs manage to keep their grades up and their class requirements are completed on time. Those who can't complete the work on time, but are good performers in the class more often than not, request for and are granted an extension on the deadline. You claim to be an average student who does well in class and can write his own papers. So why didn't you try to get an extension instead? There is something that just doesn't seem right with your claims about your abilities to write a B grade paper. However, I will grant that you probably got one of the company writers from the DND list of this site. So you ended up being scammed. Hard lesson learned. Considering they offered to refund the cost of the paper (did you actually get it back?) I am wondering why you are complaining so much. It seems to me that all's well that ends well. Whatever low grade you got from the paper, if you decided to submit it, is something that you can easily make up for, based upon you previous statement. If you did not use the paper and submitted your own, you should just be considering what happened a lesson in trusting other people during critical times.

It seems to me like the OP blew this situation out of proportion. What with his not taking the company's word for it and filing a dispute with his credit card company before a reasonable waiting period for the refund had passed, it would seem like this student was just out for revenge, aside from his refund. Why did he never indicate if he received that refund? Was it because he got the refund but just wanted to harass the company somehow? The attitude of this student really sounds like he is a professional writing service user because he knew exactly what to do upon receiving the document. Something just doesn't sound right in his declarations for me to take his statement as a full truth. There are some missing elements such as what he did with the paper upon figuring out it was plagiarized, a decent student would have gone and written the paper himself. In this case, I believe that he was hellbent on getting the refund quickly because he hired another company or another writer to complete the work for him.

It doesn't make much sense judging a student for needing academic writing services, more so right in this forum. Several analogies to that come to mind, none of them polite.

What with his not taking the company's word for it

Take the word of a company that sent a 100% plagiarized paper?

The attitude of this student really sounds like he knew exactly what to do upon receiving the document.

Are you blaming the student for knowing exactly what to do? That's what has always been advocated for in this forum.

I would not put it past these writing companies to set each other up for a fall. That is how their business works. They get rid of competition by spending money to defeat them. They actually hire people, from what I have heard, to place orders and then offer up negative testimonials so that the trust rating of the company will go down. File enough negative reviews and those become the more predominant information found by search keyword in the search engines. What @Write Review said could have a semblance of truth. We don't really know the complete backstory. However, I know that these companies do backstab each other whenever they get the chance.

I think that the company has changed hands and work focus since this thread was started. They seem to be running a legit business these days that work directly with SMEs to help create their writing needs. It is no longer a company focused on academic writing. They are more inclined to do professional research work these days and seem to have some verifiable companies associated with their business.
