Hello all,
I am not a person who normally uses forums but I get to this page through a bit of research and would like some recommendations for actions to take and also to warn other students of these bunch of scammers.

Short story: I have with all my regret signed up for a dissertation support/writing service in the UK as I was having some struggles in my personal life to find some inspiration and to give me that initial push to complete my work. Total cost was £400 and they "kindly" offered that I can pay in 3x instalments: to start with £200 which I will receive a draft work for. Once that draft was done, it was no where to my expectations and I actually managed to free up some time for myself and finished my work on my own. As soon as I received the draft work I messaged the so called support person that I would like to withdraw from the service and stop writing for me. It was acknowledged and few days later confirmed over the phone. Few weeks later, email comes that they completed the work and pay the rest of money. I ignored them as sounded a bit dodgy already back than.

And here comes the deep end....
Few weeks on again, a phone call from Liverpool with a hardly understandable accent claiming to be from that company and asking me to pay again as they completed the work. Try to explain to them that I withdraw and was confirmed so leave me alone. Also started to seriously threatening and blackmailing me at my UNI, the only problem with that I never used their work or words for my own so good luck with that. Also they can get into trouble with the new Essay Mill law in the UK. Took me almost 30 mins. No succes there. Day after, whatsapp message from the support: now I have to pay £2500 to cover their legal fees which I have 24 hour to do so, haha! I was actually playing the game and try to get as much info out of them as possible, ie: company names, and also have a link for the £2500 payment which I asked for ( they use Stripe)

After all these I reported them to Stripe and they started investigation, can anyone recommend anything else how to make these scammers life a bit hell and to avoid future students to fall into these scammers pocket.

Thank you

You have taken all the right steps so far. Since the Essay Mill law is in place in the UK, why not look into reversing the table on them by using the law to your advantage? I have heard that the law penalizes the company and not the student so why not be the test case for it? Surely there is something you can legally do to shut them up. You have confirmed that the company exists at its listed UK address right?

As for what else you can do to warn the students here, there is something you can do that will help. Publish the company name, writer name, and other information you may have about them at this forum in a new thread. Information is the best tool that we have to fight these scammers. Additionally, you can keep us updated about the investigation results. That would help keep the students away from them as well.

Yes. Just name the company right here.

@FreelanceWriter

The company I signed up for initially was: dissertationwritinghelp.uk

Weirdly the payment I made of £200 appears on my bank statement as Eazyresearch LTD
eazyresearch.com

They also mentioned as their "associates"
UK Top Consultant
uktopconsultant.co.uk

Fake names they were using as "support" are: Jordan, Dale

Even just writing about them makes me so upset and just wishing them that life will bring justice for them once!

Thank you all for your comments!

That info will be very helpful to anybody else who Googles those companies before doing business with them. All too often, victims of scams come here to complain and/or to ask for advice, but without ever divulging the names of the entities that scammed them. By providing this kind of info, you're helping future would-be victims avoid being victimized.

So sorry to hear about your experience.
I've just had a representative called Larah on Live Chat admit dissertationwritinghelp.uk is based in the UK but she had no idea about any new legislation!

Despite your bad experience, if you need any more essay services please use reputable companies or freelance writers who comply with the recent English legislation. Do not be tempted to use foreign based companies or freelancers in particular, who did not study in England or have not been awarded a qualification from an English university. One company which has a good reputation is uk essays (no blatant ads allowed) but others are available.

Hello,

I have read your post thoroughly, and I understand the frustration and distress you have experienced in this situation. However, I would like to share my personal experience, as well as those of seven of my friends who have used **Eazyresearch.com** for dissertation assistance and other academic support services. None of us have ever faced issues remotely similar to what you've described here.

Our experience with Eazyresearch.com has been nothing but professional, transparent, and supportive. They have always delivered on their promises, provided high-quality drafts, and adhered to clear communication throughout the process. Their team was approachable and respectful at all times.

That being said, it is entirely possible that someone may have falsely used the name of Eazyresearch.com to carry out scams or fraudulent activities. This is, unfortunately, not uncommon in the online world, especially in the academic support industry where impersonation can tarnish the reputation of a genuine service.

To clarify:

1. Eazyresearch.com does not engage in unethical practices. Their terms and policies are straightforward, and they are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals in a professional manner.

2. There is no evidence to suggest their involvement in such behavior. If you have been contacted by individuals claiming to represent Eazyresearch.com but who have engaged in fraudulent activities, I would strongly recommend verifying their identity directly through the official website or contact channels.

3. Reporting scams is crucial. You've done the right thing by reporting to Stripe, and you might also want to report this to relevant authorities such as the Action Fraud UK or the university's support service for further guidance.

As someone who has had positive interactions with Eazyresearch.com, I feel it's important to ensure that the truth about legitimate services isn't overshadowed by isolated incidents of fraud committed by bad actors.

Lastly, to anyone reading this, always double-check the authenticity of any service before making a payment. Scammers often mimic well-known names, so verifying through official sources can save you from such experiences.

Thank you for raising awareness and sharing your story, but I hope this clears up any potential misunderstandings regarding Eazyresearch.com. If anyone else has concerns, I encourage open discussion to ensure transparency and resolution.
