They have found a researcher for my topic. They have given me a completion date of 02/03/2012. I am waiting on the promised 500 word approach from the writer and will then decide whether to proceed with the order.

UK Essays WatchI've done my homework WB and know you have had some battles with UKEssay.Com representatives....that is your right and may I say you have presented some good arguments in regards to their guarantees. My view is this....If i dont get what Ive paid for or they try to take my money unlawfully...ie they provide an item not fit for purpose or breach contract I will make it my lifes purpose, with the help of journalist friends, to get what is owed to me and more!!

But for now I am giving them the opportunity to do something they claim to do

Received the 500 word sample the other day as promised. Researcher seemed to know what he was doing so I OK'd the order to proceed. Expecting the first installment in 5 days.

WATCH THIS SPACE!!!

UKEssays are starting to show signs of incompetence. I required the work to be completed sectionally and forwarded to me as sections become complete and put this in an email to them just after payment for my records. They said they would let the writer know. I receive a customer service phone call a few days later and mentioned this to them and they said they didnt have a record of my sectional completion requirement...."that is disconcerting" I told the cust. service officer " dont worry about it I will ensure the writer is aware and get back to you" he says. HE DID NOT.

The final completion date in the contract was set for 2nd March, however the writer cannot forward the first section untill 27th Feb!!! leaving him/her 4 days to complete the other 5 sections!!!! VERY DISCONCERTING!!!....Anyway this Monday all will be revealed and I have the feeling they WILL NOT DELIVER. I WILL HOWEVER DELIVER MY SMALL CLAIMS COURT ORDER IF THEY DONT.

Without saying anything about this company or the customer service promises that weren't lived up to, paying for something to be completed on a certain deadline and then saying you want it done in installments, many of which will fall before that deadline, is unfair and unrealistic. Unless your project is 100+ pages, a full-time writer in this industry wouldn't spend more than 4-5 days on it, anyway.

Not at all!!!....they offer the installments service so it is up to UkEssays and their writers to live up to this offer. i merely accepted this offer ,I didnt invent a new policy for them to live up to. I have paid premium price and therefore expect service of the same level

Since you paid for installments you should have got installments. However, I never understand why customers ask for installments as it slows the process down. As Pheelyks states even a relatively long paper will be completed in 4-5 days, something which takes longer if every single section has to be sent backwards and forwards first. For this reason I hardly every bid on installment jobs. You seem worried about having only 4 days to complete 5 sections, a good writer could do a whole 15/20k dissertation in this time so I would not worry about that.

Well i am worried!!!!....received the Lit reveiw and was amateurish and did not fullfill the objectives at all!!! took him/her 10 days to get that to me so how the hell is he/she go going to write the other sections in 4 days??? Oh i know....it will be complete garbage!! repetitive like the lit reveiw, which btw wasnt a lit reveiw but a descriptive essay...exactly what it shouldnt be!!! Haha " a good writer" you say. im a good writer...I average 80's on my course so i know what is reasonable to expect and what I received would not merit a pass grade!!

I used UK essays one year or so back. Ouch, I got stung ALOT. I paid for a 2.1 and they delivered it just in time for me to hand in. I had no choice. But after I read it, it was clearly a poor piece of work...I thought it would be below 40. My lecturer took mercy on me and gave me a 41 (just about a pass), I do feel mainly because I was in his good books.

Ps. How do you average 80's??!! Are you in the US?

How did this turn out by the way? Because when I asked for a refund I was flatly refused....I asked for a refund on the basis of their guaranteed mark promise. But they told me to read the small print which covers them against everything...

Hello JB1.....In response to your first question..." how do I average 80's??" I work bloody hard, most of the leg work is in the quality of research ie many different authors that are respected in the field you study and using up to date resources such as journals etc. Lots of practice and making a habit of studying are another avenue. Im not in the US but in the UK.

With regards to my order I have cancelled it. The first installment took far too long to arrive and when it did it was not fit for purpose. I took this risk and have therefore offered to pay for the work done even though it is of no use to me. The writer should not be punished for making an attempt. I beleive this is far more than I have to offer but as I said I took a risk and risks usually cost something.

Im awaiting their financial department to respond with my cancelled order statement.

With regards to your refund....it pays to know a little law!! your rights and how the courts work, even if it is a small claim.

With regards to UKEssays .com...so far they have been professional...so far!!??!!

I am interested to hear there is evidence being complied against such companies. It is reported to be televised later this year. I am sening my clients details on along with over 20 more complaints. Should proove interesting.

Why would you take money from clients then subcontract the orders to Ukessays which is known to be very expensive?
You must have been charging your clients too much.

Former employees of a UK research service and their pictures

Why would anybody have a problem with a picture of 'former employees'? If that's so, then 90% of all websites (not only research help ones) are fake. Have you ever seen a live chat picture that is actually real? lol

In fact, the majority of people who have been added to the UK Essays home page don't work for the business any more and didn't at the point they were added - all those marked in red have left before this was put up, mostly in less than pleasant circumstances (the girl behind the black girl has left too but you can only see the top of her head):

my.telegraph.co.uk/pooky/pooory/94/ukessays-holdingout/

PS. Does anyone know more details about why these employees left the company?

Yes, but the operator was not the person on the picture ;).

What I don't get, is why the OP placed an order in the first place. It appears that he was writing his own paper on the side, which is why he was prepared when the time came to cancel the order. What was the purpose of this exercise in futility? He already knew what was going to happen. Hence the warning "Watch this space !!!" all the time. What exactly did he hope to have happen? Such actions do not make any sense unless a concluding post is provided, which it wasn't. So what was all the commotion about in the first place? I just don't get it...

I can only hazard a guess in this case. The person who started this thread was blackmailing the company and the Watch This Space threat was his way of trying to get them to comply with his threat. Since he abruptly stopped posting, maybe he got what he wanted out of them. How much he got is the question. This whole thread reeked of a veiled blackmail process. Everyone else who posted in support if this person were more than likely in on the blackmail scam with him.

I don't think the other contributors to this thread were necessarily collaborrating with the OP. What the OP apparently did was simply try to put the company on notice, and well in advance, that the customer already knew exactly where to publicize a bad outcome in the event the company failed to provide what it had promised and obligated itself to provide. It's not "blackmail" to let a service provider or seller know that the customer will leave detailed (true, good-faith) negative feedback in the event it turns out to be warranted; it's more of providing an incentive for the company either to: 1. Simply deliver exactly what was promised, or 2. Refund the payment if/when they realize that they are unable to do so, for whatever reason. It's only "blackmail" if the actions being implied are intended to recover money back despite it not being rightfully owed, or intended to pressure the company to provide more work (or unpaid/unowed) editing after delivery of appropriate work pursuant to the order. Threatening to harm a company's reputation over an unowed refund for simply delivering the exact work that was agreed uopn is "blackmal," as is threatening a customer for refusing to pay more money than was originally agreed for a project.
