Academic paper work copyrights / transfer?

I understand that WB. It just boggles my mind that the plagiarism was so blatant and that any writer thinks they should get paid for such unbelievably poor quality.

The support team is helping me now and have been quick to respond, so hopefully I can get my refund very soon. If not, then there will be a serious problem.

The post was simply to warn others that, while online writer seems to be a legit business, there are writers who should not be there. $80 for 3 pages worth of work seemed a bit steep, but since I gave short notice and reviews claimed their writers were not ESL, I gave it a try. I know there are people out there needing to spend a few hundred dollars for their work, so this is an even greater warning for them. I know I will need more help in the future, and now I am hesitant to ever try any of these sites again. I will gladly pay for legitimate work, but this was just fu**ing pathetic.

The post was simply to warn others.

Did you place multiple orders and receive multiple documents from multiple writers? No, you didn't, so you shouldn't use plurals.

You do realize that the company has been in business since 1995, retains hundreds of freelance writers (several of whom are respected members of this forum), and probably completes about 3,000 orders per month, right?

With the stats you claim, then yes, without a doubt in my mind there are more scam writers than just this one from online writer. But, it was also reading stats like your's that made me decide to choose the service and give them a chance. Right off the bat, it was an epic fail. And again, no attempt to even create original work. If some clown can work for an academic research service that easily, then I won't be the last person to get shafted.

You are so defensive of them, why don't you PM legitimate sources I can utilize for future work? I don't have time to scream at each other like children while my money was still completely pissed away and I still have a 100% plagiarized essay in my hands. These facts don't change no matter how much you want to argue with me.

Wretardwriter, dont waste your time here. It's more than evident that this is a dishonest website. My thread asking an honest question about an online writing business address was REMOVED. People are allowed to question the competition, but as soon as you start asking about it, UH OH!

Legitimate research companies should never divulge your identity, personal information or individual answers unless you specifically give them.
One of the best is GlobalTestMarket which was designed to give you the opportunity to get paid for directly influencing global market research.
Furthermore help please give some more details so I will help you in this regard.
Thanks

As far as I know, the writers are informed by the academic writing company that the minute the paper is submitted to the client, all rights to the text and any images included in the paper automatically turn over to the student. Even independent writers turn these rights over to the student because that is part of the service. Once the paper is completed and submitted, the writer loses all responsibility for the paper unless previous arrangements are made with the writer. Due to the turnover of rights, the student can actually write down his name as the author of the paper risk free. The original writer cannot claim any rights to the paper. It is important to note though that the student should change the content of the paper to a certain extent to eliminate any possibility of plagiarism.

It is difficult to pinpoint the actual location of the writing company because the internet can easily mask their information in order to make you believe that you are dealing with someone in a reputable country. It is like playing Russian Roulette. If you are lucky, you will get an actual US or UK based writer.

Anybody who contacts writing companies to create "original" papers for them should make sure to check the Terms of Service prior to signing up. The TOS is where the transfer of rights, or lack therof, are usually indicated. This is the biggest problem that the students have when they hire a writing company. The companies these days tend to blur the lines when it comes to who really owns the paper. Their writers are told that the company owns the rights to any paper that they write. However, there are certain companies that turn over the rights from the company to the student once it is downloaded from the company server. These days though, the student really needs to be careful and make sure that they own the copyright to their paper. That is because the companies tend to resell the papers these days so the rights to the "original" paper may be misrepresented somehow within the TOS.

Exactly, and knowing whether the company intends to resell the paper would be my first concern. Just because you order custom writing does not mean that the rights to the work are transferred to you. Most require the client to reference the paper and note that the rights belong to the company, as @WriteReview explained. It really depends on the individual company's TOS, but the majority retain the rights after the sale. Others, retain the rights but agree not to exploit the rights for a period of time (i.e. a semester, 6 months, 1 year).

Your best best is to read the TOS carefully and ask questions if in doubt.

You should ask the company about their rights policies before you sign up. Each company has a specific set of rules covering the rights to the work created. You may be paying for rights to a paper that does not include the actual use of the paper for a grade. There may be restricted rights on your use of the paper as well. Company hired written work comes with too many strings attached. Hire a direct writer instead. They always transfer the rights to the paper and everything else related to it to the client upon submission. It's a pain free experience.

Actually proving the location of the writing company will be next to impossible to prove. Regardless of how well you manage to trace the IP, you cannot always be sure you are getting accurate information. Always accept the location of the company with a slight sense of doubt. These companies rarely tell the truth about their actual location. Sadly, there is no way to force it out of them either.

The TOS of most essay companies expressly retain copyright instead of transferring it to the client and expressly prohibit any use of their essays for anything whatsoever except "studying" it and "citing" it as a reference in any academic work submitted for academic credit.

Try to find a writing company that expressly transfers the intellectual property for the paper to you once it is delivered. Do not work with any essay writing company that keeps the rights for themselves. They plan to resell your paper and as such, could prove to be a problem for you down the road should it have been submitted by a student with only slight changes made to the original.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

I try to make that information even easier for prospective clients to find, by including it prominently in big bold font, right on the Academic Essays section of my website.
