Have anyone been reported to the university by any essay writing companies?

I have heard of some companies that tried to report the students. The universities forwarded the complaints to the professors, who then looked into the reports. Nothing came of it though as the professors would often see that the report came from a suspicious foreign IP and would disregard the report. Mostly because the student was doing well in class overall so any accusations were hard to believe. Usually, the student was just given a chance to rework the paper, usually under the direct supervision of a TA or the professor himself and all was forgiven. Do it another time and get caught, well, then, that is another story.

What companies? What countries? What universities?

The previous years have seen some writing companies and independent writers reporting their clients to their universities. These have resulted in academic investigations for the students, some of whom were expelled or had their diplomas revoked. I believe that this was brought about by their dire need for money in a field of work where the income has been steadily dwindling.

That's another reason it's so important to make sure you're using a writer who allows clients to own the copyright to any work they purchase.
