CLIENTS, READ THIS FIRST: DO NOT DEAL WITH (DND) LIST

This forum maintains a list of companies that do not want their business discussed here. This is called the Do Not Discuss list, but it is really more appropriate to call it the Do Not Deal with list. Why would you want to deal with a company that demands for this forum to block out the posts of every one their clients who come here to complain?

I'm going to chime in here. I feel that you're generalizing a little too much. I won't name names, but there are a few sites on that list that I've worked for over the years. They are trustworthy companies that always paid me on time. I never witnessed them do anything shady to customers either. In fact, there were a few times over the years that I had a dispute with a customer regarding what I was supposed to provide. The customer was wrong each time. The owner of the company even admitted to me that the customer is wrong in each case. Regardless, the owner did his best to please both me and the customer. He paid me extra to do the rewrites but didn't charge the customers anything. He paid out of his own pocket each time to make sure that the customer was happy. This is why your message is unfair. There are other reasons why a good company may be on the DND list.

If this is the case, you need not hide in the DND. In fact, you should appreciate the potential role this forum can play because it will allow both the client and customer to ventilate. I would expect that once the client came here to lodge the complaint, you would then come armed with these facts and from there, the rest of us will simply make our inferences. Why run to the DND if you know you did the right thing yet this is a neutral forum?

Fake complaints about good companies had always been rampant in this place. As an outsider looking in, that was obvious.

There are certainly legal reasons why the moderator will not remove the DND list. I'm sure that the moderator does not need or want any advice.

I'd like to thank the mods for granting my request to have off-topic posts deleted. ^_^

There are other reasons why a good company may be on the DND list.

If you mean fake complaints, that can be resolved by having complainants present order numbers as proof. This was done some time ago, and one company got so overwhelmed by the amount of legitimate complaints that came out against them that they ran to the DND list for cover.

Writers and customers should avoid any companies on the DND list because there are good reasons for them to be on there. Most of them are dishonest.

Most of them are dishonest.

All of them are hiding from disgruntled clients.

You're a real nitwit. Now you want people to avoid "any" site on the DND because "most of them are dishonest." That's not exactly sound reasoning, Mighty Mouse.

Based on your criteria for being on the list, YOU need to be on it.

My advice about the DND list stands. Unlike this "Paul" person, I represent no company on here and have no reason to lie at all. Essay Townn is crooked.

Essay Townn is crooked.

If that's true, why don't you just give us the specific details regarding how the company "cheated" you? You have said that they already know who you are, so the reason you keep refusing to provide the details obviously isn't to avoid being identified. The real reason is because you are just a liar. The company did not cheat you. You got caught plagiarizing and the company refused to pay you. You go what you deserved, Mighty Mouse.

The reason the list was called Do Not Discuss is simply because that is exactly what those companies asked the forum to ask their participants not to do. They did not wish to have their companies discussed because of the large volume of negative publicity their company receives from actual users. It defeats the purpose of their fake blurbs on their official websites. Although, one can also say that the implication of the title is also "Do Not Deal" with the company. It is implied I guess. It doesn't need to be said. "Do Not Discuss" tends to sound more socially acceptable when compared to "Do Not Deal".

Talking StudentsPartly because not discussing a company has less impact on the image of the company when compared to "Do Not Deal". The Do Not Discuss list is constantly updated based upon company representative requests, which is based on the amount of student complaints about the company represented in the forum thread. When the company finds it more and more difficult to defend their scam of a company, they opt to request to be included in the DND list instead. Although, it doesn't really stop the students from discussing the bad companies just the same.

Since the name of this forum is EssayScam, it does seem unfair to give these other writing companies an out clause through the DND list. Why should they be exempted from the discussion if there is proof positive that they are not what they claim to represent? No, they should be discussed and mentioned by name if the students are to be helped in avoiding services from companies of questionable reputation and negative work experiences.

They know what their writers do and they know that their company is not really as capable as they portray themselves to be. They exist because they can successfully misrepresent themselves on the web. If EssayScam is to remain true to their cause and objectives, I believe the DND list should be removed and the companies be made liable for their actions, at least by having them come to this very site to deliver a believable and acceptable explanation of what transpired between their company and the client.

Rather than hiding behind the DND clause, these companies should come out into the open and prove that they are not unlawful companies cheating the students of their money or blackmailing the unsuspecting clients on the web.

The students that come here are looking for reliable companies to work with. They expect to see informative posts regarding the companies that are out there. They are already considering working with a specific company, but they want to be sure that they are making the right choice first. That is why the DND list is very important to the students. That list helps them decide if they want to take a chance with the company or, if they will just consider their second option. If a company feels it has been unfairly placed in the list, then they can appeal it with the owners of the forum. I do not believe that they should be removed from the list based on the idea that they have been unjustly accused. These companies have been accused with evidence most of the time and as such, have no defense for requesting to not be placed on the DND list.

I have come to discover that most of the companies that contained in the DND list of this site have mostly left the writing business or are trying to sell their business. Their company image, the lack of writing orders, and the lack of qualified writers to work for these companies have all led to their company demise. It is not something that we expected to happen but it did. So the DND list is now useless.

If all of the companies that had a reason to prevent any public discussion about them left the business, that's probably a very good thing. Reliable providers who provide high-quality work have no reason to put themselves on the DND list; if anything, we only benefit from the comments of our clients.
