Here's a Novel suggestion - students should try writing essays themselves

Instead of everyone coming on here moaning about the rubbish essays they have supposedly received why not try writing them yourselves.

Own WriteHaving done a degree in law and criminology and a postgraduate qualification at law school to become a barrister totally unaided I wonder at the laziness of students who would rather spend money they can ill afford to spend then take a few nights off partying to write the essays yourself.

At the end of the day you are only fooling yourself if you submit someone else's essay as your own and get a wondrous mark. i know many of the students who use these sites do not use the essays as guidelines as they are supposed to do and submit them in their entirety as their own work.

This is obvious from the comments made by some that they submitted the essay and failed.

when it comes to the exams the researcher is not going to be sat next to you telling you what to write so how do you expect to pass if you don't do the work leading up to the exams on your own

I guess my suggestion isn't a very popular one since no one has dared to reply. :)

Oh well I wasn't trying to win a popularity contest anyway ha ha just thought I would point out my opinion of those who use essay writing sites!!

Sorry, I didn't reply as I thought your post was both presumptuous and ill-informed.

students who would rather spend money they can ill afford to spend then take a few nights off partying to write the essays yourself.

I buy essays from time to time which I can well afford and use them for various reasons. Sometimes to cover supporting units that my university insists I take but which I have no interest in, sometimes to use as the basis of tutorial discussions, and sometimes to revise from. I have also bought the long-term assistance of two statistics experts online to help me better understand SPSS, Minitab and data interpretation.

As for the endless nights of partying, I am teetotal, have never been to a nightclub and loathe pubs.

If you have such a contempt for students who buy essays, then you are in the wrong business.

I note in a previous post you say that you have written for more than one company and are planning to continue writing in the future. It disgusts me that you are so contemptuous of your clients yet are seeking to continue making money from them.

I'm inclined to agree with Dylan.

I am a writer and have posted here several times before that I am not in the business of supporting plagiarism.

I never accept work where I suspect that from the information given to me that the student is going to submit my work as their own. This means I reject almost 90% of all essays that are offered to me, all take home tests, all dissertations and all research projects.

The work that I do accept is where it is clear that the student is asking for concepts to be explained or elaborated, or is requesting a study guide or test preparation material.

If writers were a little more ethical about the work they accepted, then there would be fewer problems with plagiarism. However, I know from the three essay companies that I work for, there is no shortage of writers willing to complete take home tests, research essays, and full dissertations.

Yes I stated that I write for more than one company but the companies I write for actually supply model answers to universities, All the essays I have written still belong to me and cannot be used by others as their own. Even these companies are appalling at paying their writers and come up with excuses as to why the money is late. In recent times the only essays I have done are guideline essays through the tuition site I work for or the model answers for universities.

I am totally against students submitting work done by someone else as though it is their own which is why I copyright my work and post it on plagairism scanning sites so that if anyone does try to submit it as their own they are likely to get in trouble.

By all means ask for a guideline essay or online assistance there is nothing wrong with that but don't pass someone else's work off as your own!

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF jvmembers.com? Do you think it is a better "online job" option for writers? Please give some feedback...I can't find anything negative about them on search engines so I ask...

Hi again. I've tried suite101.com as well, aside from jvmembers.com. Goodluck writers...

These student-suckers will never admit that, whether they want or not, almost 90% of the students coming to the paper-mills submit the papers, to their professor, verbatim which they receive from these mother-*ucking saints like Torchwood, Dylan and others.

There are some students who just can't write an essay, term paper, or research paper if their lives depended upon it. These are usually ESL students who are not familiar with the Western or European way of academic learning. These are the students that normally seek out academic writing help. Unfortunately, they are also the students who cannot understand and remember the meaning of a "model" academic paper. Their tendency is to pass of this work as their own. Sadly, the other students who are native to the country in question, seem to like hiring people to do their work for them as well. Not because they do not know how to write a paper, but rather, because they would rather be doing something else. These are the 2 major groups of students who give the job of academic writers a bad reputation and don't even try to write their own essays.

Now, there are some students who do use the model essays precisely for the purpose it was created. In fact, I admire the students who used to come to me with their papers half done, asking for help in perfecting the content. So there are students out there who actually try to write the essays by themselves but whose writing talents can only take them so far. These are the students that I prefer to help. They are also the students who are few and far between.

These are the reasons why I don't think that the students to avail of academic writing services should be lumped into one basket as students who don't even try to write the essays themselves. There are varying degrees of reasons as to why students would decide to hire a writing service. Not all of them simply don't want to try writing an essay themselves.

I agree that some students are good at learning from books and memorizing information. Not all of them are blessed to be excellent writers. No, I take that back. They could be fantastic writers when using their mother tongue, but lousy writers when it comes to using their second language, English. Therefore, they cannot be expected to write well in English. They can probably get by using pidgin English, but nothing more. There are those who can read well and understand spoken English, but turn out to be lousy when it comes to writing in English. These are the students who sometimes come to my company, asking me to find them a writer who can edit their work to make it more "academically acceptable" in English. These are the students who actually write the essays themselves. Yes, they do exist. Don't make them the butt of your sarcastic jokes. They try hard to create the best paper that they can so don't make fun of them because they ask for help in any way they see fit.

I agree with @Write Review. I've seen students who simply struggle because they're using a second language (and not their mother tongue). Despite this, there is still a handful who actually curate their own essays and turn it in - regardless of how difficult it has been for them because they're not used to it. It's the same thing with every other field in education, to be honest. Not everyone is good as math - but you can try until you can do at least the fundamental. Not everyone can memorize pages of details - but you can train your mind to memorize faster if you try hard enough. If someone is willing to learn (ergo if someone is willing to turn in a paper - then they will), there will be no hindrance. Some people just struggle more than others, hence why they seek out essay writing services. I guess it's all subjective if you perceive this to be negative or not. My point is that, there are instances wherein it truly is acceptable to use services instead of writing on your own.

Actually, I have had students come to me with a unique request, teach them how to write the paper. What happens is I basically do the paper for them, I do the research and I develop the content. I finalize the presentation then I submit it to the client. Once submitted, the student takes the paper, reads it, then writes an understanding of the paper, in the format required of them by the professor. I then receive the said rewrite and review their work. I make suggestions on how to improve the content or, I edit it for them. The point is, not all students are lazy. There are actually ESL students who would like to learn how to write a proper English research paper or essay. However, the writing center of the university can't give them the kind of help that they need. Those students, a handful of them, are the ones who actually learn how to write by hiring someone to complete their paper for them. It is part of their educational process and I would not judge them for using that style to learn how to write college level papers in English.
