Why less writing orders in 2012/2013?

Students order less essay in 2012 coz they have less money and iPhone cost more than before.

Other reason - Kenyan, Indian, Pakistan, and China fraudsters with anon emails (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, tc.). They pollute chat boards, Facebook, Google, and use many fake names. Students contact them and then have to chargeback and contact legit companies to fix their plagiarism and simple errors. On this forum there is dozens of scam artist from Africa and other non English speaking country.

If you are student and some 'writer' contact you to help, get his phone number first and talk to him. Then you see he/she is from Africa, Paki, China, or India. They moved from lottery scam to essay business.

majority of time its the companies that scam irrespective of where they are from. My personal opinion is that Freelance writers are a better choice.

Why do you leave Ukrainians out of this lot? However, doing so will not qualify your statement although you'll be judged as being more objective.

It's an industry full of fraud at both the company and individual writer levels. Nobody trusts anybody, and with good reason. If you find a good freelancer OR company, stick with them.

We should not blame only the writers. How many students loyally pay the writer after getting their assignments delivered?

I agree with you.

The more I read the postings people put up on this website, the more I realize there is a lot of generalization going on.

There are bad companies, but not everyone is bad. I think that most companies want to keep their clients to get more business.... not loose them.

I don't think I agree that there are less orders this year. I'm getting swamped.

I agree that most companies out there are scams and I can only think of a couple good one. If you find them then stick with them.

Hi SR. Do you write via your own site, through a company, or both?

Independent freelancer. I don't even have my own site. No company work as of yet.

Ok thanks. No company work, is that by accident or design?

It's great that you are swamped without being associated with either!

I only do this part-time, and so far, private clients fill up my available time. Company work hasn't been an option since I don't have time and it doesn't pay as well. If I did this full-time, I would do company work to fill in any slots where I couldn't find private clients. I fell into the business and get clients mainly through word-of-mouth.

That is a good way to gain the trust of those seeking service. I myself would rather work with someone who I have received a reference for than to just pick randomly and be the victim of a scam.

The essay industry is full of scam companies yes, but there are a lot of people bashing companies for no reason as well. So you have to be careful who and what you believe.

Someone who recommends you a company, could be recommending you a company someon else bashed.

You can send drafts of work post to which the student can pay. Also, you can send screen shots or, better still, you can use teamviewer to show them the work. After they pay, you can send them the work. I do this and it always works. Its fair for both sides as well. I hope this helps :)

Just as the discussion in another thread demonstrated, you get what you pay for in this industry. Any decent writer is going to be busy enough during most of the year that they will not agree to complete work without getting paid--it's a waste of time. Also, any customer that wants work for free is likely to end up getting what they paid for.

Less Writing OrdersAnother reason that the essay order have been down these days is because there has been an influx in the "free" essays and "paraphrased" essay business of companies.

They openly rehash old papers for new clients, based on their "free" essay choice for their paper. All the student has to do now is choose the paper that they feel will best represent their homework and then work with the company writer in revising the paper.

Some students, opt to do the revision work themselves and then submit the paraphrased paper for a grade.

They are more inclined to do this because the essay already has quotes and a bibliography page thrown in.

They adapt the paper to their own thoughts and writing style and in a matter of hours, they have an original paper they can submit for a grade.

As long as they keep the in-text citations, the work is practically done on their end.

Most of my writer friends admit that they have been making their income mostly from these types of work these days. They don't mind, the work is easier and less stressful according to them.

It would seem to me that this trend is continuing in 2015. My academic writing company affiliated friends have been reporting a steady decline in their client base and work turn around since the start of the academic year. I am thinking that this is because the students are opting to cut out the middle man and hire the writer directly instead. I've not have a decline in my company hiring this season and I am a one person writing machine. If I feel sorry enough for a friend of mine, I throw a bone -- client or two to help them get through the month and meet their financial obligations. If a writer insists in remaining with a writing company and doesn't get a fixed salary for it then there is no way he can claim to be financially free as a freelance writer. All he will get is a continuous decline in writing orders as the years pass.

Why less writing orders in 2012/2013?

Maybe clients have just learned to prefer writers whose knowledge of English includes the difference between "less" and "fewer."

I think that the academic writers got a rude awakening this year as well. It looks like the academic writing trend will be on the down side for the last part of the previous academic year, and at least the first half of the upcoming school year. With students still under lock-down or modified school attendance, parents will actually be able to supervise their children's studies and homework now. Aside from that, the students can expect to get adjusted allowances as well since most of them will be schooling from home. So there will really be lesser chances of the students being able to hire a writer to work on their homework for them. Parents will actually be able to check the homework of the kid and, they will probably be involved in some way when the student has some research or essay paper to write. Academic writers will need to adjust their financial expectations for the rest of the year. If possible, they should also try to branch out into other writing venues to help augment the income lost from projected academic writing work for the next school year.

While we were able to recover from the effects of the pandemic on the academic writing business, we never expected AI to hit our business as fast and as effectively as it did. There are even less writing orders in 2025-2026 writing season then there were during the international lockdowns. Students adapted well to AI writing and found it far more economical and less of a risk than when they pay actual writers for their paperwork. They fail to see the crap that is produced though but that is another story. The reality is that students are becoming well versed in developing the human aspect of AI writing by combining their skills with the AI, resulting in less work for human writers this season.
