I'm writing my paper myself now. Is there something wrong with me? :) Here are the instructions and topic I received:

Topic: Educational Curriculum

Educational CurriculumPaper - General Research Instructions:

Theory to Practice Paper

For this research paper you will choose one of the curriculum traditions that we study in the course and do further reading in that area. In the paper you will delve deeply into how and why the curriculum tradition you have chosen (Radical Curriculum, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Paulo Freire) does or does not resonate with your own developing educational philosophy.

You will be expected to cite specifics from the books and articles that you draw from as well as look forward into possible implications for your own teaching and the learning of your future students.

Criteria for Theory to Practice Paper

All papers must be double-spaced and word-processed in 12 point Arial font. All papers will be evaluated for form, which includes; spelling, grammar, sentence structure, paragraph organization, syntax, cohesiveness, and organization. Language should be specific. Proper use of quotations and citing sources must be consistent throughout the paper. The Theory to Practice Paper ONLY must be written in APA style. Plagiarism is unacceptable.

Please read the university's policies on plagiarism. If you are uncertain about the standards for citing other people's work I urge you to ask for help before handing in any papers. You are expected to know the rules of citing other people's words and/or ideas.

Nope. Nothing wrong with that. I applaud it and I encourage other students to do the same. There is nothing wrong with you. Writing your own essay means that you are a serious college student who has the time to learn how to do things, such as research and essay development, in order to further polish your future professional skills. Don't let the trash talking here get you down. They are are just kidding you. I guess I will be different from the other people who responded to you because I actually wish there were more students like you who now the value of their education and the sense of accomplishment that comes with doing your own homework and getting a good grade on it. A grade that you know you truly deserve because every letter that hit your paper submission was placed there by your personal keystroke. I am sure that you came away from writing this paper by yourself a more learned student who now has an increased desire to learn more while a student in college.

A student who strives to complete a paper of any sort, be it an opinion paper, a research paper, a review, or any other type of paper should be admired. In an educational system where hiring someone to do the hard work for you has become the norm, these types of students are fast becoming an endangered species. This is a student who should have come out of his university studies a truly educated, well trained, and capable professional in whatever field of study he completed. I am sure that his peers also admired him for doing the paper on his own, most specially those who found themselves having to hire a writing service to complete a majority of their written work.

There are still students like the OP in college today. My editing service writers are busier than ever, working with students who just want their original work edited and polished in the hopes of increasing their grade on the paper once it is submitted. That is something that I am happy to help students do because they strive to complete their assignment on their own. Having professional assistance seems to serve as an inspiration to them as well because they learn how to better their writing presentation through the editing service.

Having professional assistance seems to serve as an inspiration to them as well because they learn how to better their writing presentation through the editing service.

This is most certainly true. I have also observed that there are other clients whose sole purpose in reaching out to writing and editing companies would be to ensure that they are on the right track. I didn't realize how common it was until later in my career when I had more prospective clients. The more that I spent in the field, the more that I admired clients who genuinely asked me questions regarding the paper to either clarify or discuss it. I've even had a very welcoming client once who spent an entire afternoon "consulting" me about the research he was conducting. Needless to say, I was flattered that he trusted me enough not just as his academic writer, but also as someone who knows what they're doing when they're researching. Despite the ins and outs of this odd job, I find that these small moments are genuinely rewarding because it gives me a sense of fulfillment that I wouldn't have probably found elsewhere. Being a writer in these fields have truly shaped me to be more welcoming and engaging to clients who have different backgrounds and reasons as to why they were put in such a pressured situation. Nonetheless, I definitely will keep these clients to the books even when the day comes that I stop participating in academic writing.

Several very fishy things about this whole thread: (1) Students who aren't in the market for writing services don't usually post on this forum to announce that they're not interested in writing services while also (2) publicly posting all of the exact details of their assignments. (3) The response immediately above this one (#15) is authored by someone who is, supposedly, a "student"; but he or she seems to be referring to details about the completed essay despite the fact that the OP never posted anything besides the supposed grade. (4) The supposed "student" who authored the post immediately above this one obviously seems to be offering writing services.

No. There is nothing with you. Writing this paper yourself means that you understand why you are attending college. Your focus is on learning and self-improvement. By writing this paper yourself, you are telling everyone that you are willing to take the risk and accept the grade you are given. You are honest about your writing skills and are willing to accept any failures that come along with it. You are willing to learn from your mistakes. Nothing wrong with that. I hope you got a fantastic great for your paper.
