Writing Careers / essaywriters.net fraud [179]

Well, unfortunately I think I am going to be complaining here soon, with everyone else. I wonder - how is it possible for a company like this to exist? I work for several different companies, but, since they have more orders, I have focused on EW.net lately.

Without telling all my story here - I am only going to express my regret for being blind and starting to work for them in the first place. I suppose everyone here has read their "Terms and Agreement". It is plain that they can terminate your account and withhold payment (completely or partially) whenever they like for whatever reason they like. By the way, one of their terms specifies that an account will be terminated with no reimbursement whatsoever if there is any evidence that the writer has disparaged the company's name in any way. So much for freedom of speech. If you choose to criticize their business and they find out = they are not going to pay you for all the hard work you have been doing for them. What kind of agreement is this? Wouldn't they have more to gain if they took care of their own reputation by being even somewhat professional? Just some thoughts.

I know that essaywriters.net is perhaps the most debated company around here, but I'd like to post some evidence against them (there's plenty already, but I'll post some more, just in case there are writers who are still tempted to sign up on their site). I'd like to give you some examples of what orders look like on their site - check out the really low payment:

While Walmart seems to have a social responsibility, the company has had a devastating impact on small merchants, and the environment and it is important to compare and contrast the perspectives of these parties to see how they might conflict. How can this company take action to meet these considerations and why must they be considered in internal and external relationships?

Read the Case on WalMart located in Cases, Carroll & Bucholtz (2006). Respond to all questions. Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrase with references in APA format and style. Save the file in RTF with the correct course code and information in the header. The paper should be 6 pages. Use as many references as you like.

Background

Communication in the context of international business necessarily has to deal with cross-cultural communication. One very important issue that impacts on effective cross-cultural communication is to appreciate differences in customs, social mores and practices that different cultures may exhibit; for example, differing cultural views of time. One approach to understanding or analysing other cultures is to develop and use cultural stereotypes.

Essay Question

'Discuss the importance (or otherwise) of developing and then using cultural stereotypes to enhance, or make more effective, cross-cultural communication'.

Within the context of developing an answer to this question, your essay is required to consider specifically the following:

- What models of cultural stereotypes have been developed and how could they assist in effective cross-cultural communication? Your answer must consider at least two models as well as discuss the strengths and weaknesses of these models.

- Are cultural stereotypes a good way to approach this sort of communication or are there serious problems and issues in using this approach? That is, you must form an opinion that using this approach will either: facilitate effective cross-cultural communication in most circumstances; or hinder effective cross-cultural communication in most circumstances.

- Should cultural stereotypes be considered static artefacts that do not change or should they be considered dynamic and so do change over time? Your answer must consider what impact this issue would have both in terms of initiating new relationships as well as maintaining and developing these relationships.

Additional information regarding the essay assessment task:

The word length for the essay is 1200 words. In addition to using the lead references shown below, you must find and use at least five(5) additional scholarly information sources to support your arguments; you must not use non-scholarly information sources for the essay.

Your lead references for the essay are:

Eunson, B 2008, Intercultural communication, in Communicating in the twenty-first century, Chapter 16, 2nd edn, Wiley, Milton, Queensland, pp. 457-481.

Baskerville, RF 2003, Hofstede never studied culture', Accounting, Organizations and Society, vol. 28, no. 1, pp. 1-14.

This is copy-pasted word for word from their "available orders" section. And I have many other examples of 2$/page assignments! (that's at least 10 times lower than what the company actually charges the customers). The funny thing is that, when I first started working for them, they had an advertisement saying their rates range from 4-16$/ page (4 or 5 is still very, very low, obviously). There was never any announcement saying they will no longer pay a minimum of 4$. This is a warning for the customers as well: you cannot expect good writing at this rate! Even if the writer is good, he/she is not likely to be motivated to put in the effort and give you a good paper.

[from the syllabus] Short Paper 1 The first short paper (3-5 pages) is about writing two short cases. This project may require
some research, because it should not duplicate cases we study in class. Find two engineering 2
projects in your own field (if you don't have a particular specialization yet, choose one for the purposes of the assignment). One of these projects should be a high-profile failure, the other a project that saw success against some substantial odds. First, describe the project's plan in some detail. Second, detail the problems or practices that led to these successes or failures in some detail. Finally, describe the resolution of the projects.

Here are my profs reqs for the essay:
1. Introduction: a paragraph or two that reflect(s) Tweed's introductory chapter by situating your "site" and "sighting" of two places of religious significance. Your introduction should also define the categorical parameters of your paper (e.g., Domestication, or Gentrification, or Internationalization, etc.).

2. Body: the body of your paper should be divided into two parts:
a. a description of two sites of religious significance (the medium of which is open-ended); FOR THIS PLEASE USE THE KNOX UNITED CHURCH IN DOWNTOWN CALGARY HERE IS A URL SO YOU CAN SEE IT

AND ALSO PLEASE USE THIS CHURCH FOR THE OTHER SITE. IT IS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AND HAS PLAIN SURROUNDINGS. THIS INFO IS NECESSARY FOR THE PAPER.

b. a summary of a sizeable body of theoretical sources, including at minimum:
- the Francis/Kitzan textbook
- three additional sources from the assigned readings for the week
- two additional sources drawn from the supplementary materials posted in Blackboard.
3. Conclusion - the identification of a significant critical research question related to the discussion of spaces/places presented in the body of your paper.

Also:
Use headings to demarcate the various sections of your paper.
2. Make certain that your presentation of five theoretical sources is clear (i.e., note where the authors agree and disagree on mutually shared points of interest) and that it relates explicitly to the two places that you have described. Your grade will suffer if I cannot connect the dots from theory to place.

3. When dealing with the embodiment of human thought and life, academics must situate the mind not only in the body but also in the environment in which that body is organically placed. This environment is not only the space immediately contiguous with the outer skin of the human organism-it also extends to distances quite removed, ultimately even to global or solar dimensions.

4. The concluding question to which your paper will culminate must be directly related to the critical academic theorizing that you have presented. In other words, the question should seek to advance the discussion and/or to highlight or explore a particular gap in the scholarly discourse.

Dont worry about including anything from the `tweed` or `franz and kitzan` book.

It needs at least 3 of the sources from BOTH of the following lists (total of six sources from these two lists)

"Body Memory," Remembering: A Phenomenological Study (second ed.; Indiana University Press) 146-80.

Sometimes they don't even pay 2$, we all know about their absurd penalties. These rates scream low-quality for writers and customers. I just hope everyone will realize sooner or later that this company should disappear.

Writing Careers / EssayWriters: Sweatshop Labour [17]

I wonder about that 10$/page you claim to have at essaywriters. I have been working for them for over a year now, the only orders that reach that rate are those that have to be done in something like 1 or 2 hours. There are some fields of study which pay better, but 10/page is an exception, and a very rare one for that matter.

Writing SweatAnd now, for the incredibly numerous mistakes on their site. The latest announcement says, I quote:

"We are terribly sorry for temporally inconveniences?.

Thank you for ? understanding and cooperaiton.

Regards,
Writers' Support Team"

And also:

""Writing is my passion, and I'm enjoying it now with EssayWriters. It is really appreciable to work with you, guys. I like the attitude, the transparency of the system. And direct communication between writers, support, and customers is of great help in daily decisions! I am thinking of making this my basic income."

Jennifer Bangot, USA"

Now this is supposed to be one of the testimonials they have from their very satisfied writers (and note: the writer is supposed to be from...USA). Does anyone know what "appreciable to work with you" means? I also wonder when was it ever possible for writers to communicate at EW?

They really need English lessons badly:

"In my experience this is the only company that allows writers to contact customers in writing process. All in all, you guys are very professional and you keep up improving this site to make it easier for each of us. Thanks!"

To make what easier? "keep up improving?"

Not to mention lessons in honesty, if the thing was possible. Now, for your information dear essaywriters.net, I know of at least 3 other companies that allow you to have direct communication with the customers (I work for them).

Anyway, reading through the stuff on their site would actually be fun, if I hadn't wasted so much of my time and money with them.

Oh, and by the way: on top of everything, they resell papers. So attention students an writers as well: even if the writer works hard on the essay it can still appear as plagiarized when, hours later, it is resold on Megaessays, for instance. I was shocked to find countless papers I have written for them there. There is simply no end to their maneuvering. I personally loathe them for reselling my work more than for the fact that they haven't paid me my due. Despicable company, the worst ever.

[Moved from]: Best Essays - or any other sites owned by essaywriters.net

bestessays.com/order.php

This is just to warn naive customers, do check the "testimonials" on their sites before you even consider buying anything from them - full of grammar, structure and spelling mistakes. They are dishonest and unprofessional, I know you may be desperate but check their site first and do not waste your money. There are a lot of topics here about who these detestable people are - I couldn't care less. But I do care about what they are and how they treat customers and writers. Do go elsewhere to seek business, I promise you there are good companies out there. In all my experience, these are the very worst you can get, so don't even bother! I am set on warning everyone who intends to approach them, this company should not be allowed to exist. I could go on for days about their horrendous mill, but this is just a reminder.

"Awesome! I gained an "A" for this work. The tutor wrote: "A positive assignment showing deep subject knowledge. Your analysis and deductive reasoning is on a high level. Research into management texts needs to be less descriptive, but in this case served a very good support to the topic." Thank you for such a wonderful feeling of great relief! I will buy essay from your company next time!."

Cindy, New York

"Guys, I am so grateful for your term paper!Your term paper has the absolute maximum return for the money spent! I will buy term paper again."

Alex, Seattle

"I had a good time going through your term paper - I think I had more to learn from it, than I did from my textbook. I enjoy it so much that I intend to order term paper again."

Tracy, CA

"Our business has been built on a solid foundation of quality and service that more students trust than any other writing service since 1997."

"Sites offering custom writing services at very low prices most likely will not provide you with original papers. Is it what you really need?"

"We will take whatever steps necessary to fill your order on time guaranteed."

"the more superior the level of your researcher and the sooner your order will be delivered."

* Often the testimonials placed on site are clearly fake, written by the company and often unbelievable.

* We select our testimonials from surveys completed by our customers after their orders are completed. We do not edit them except for grammatical and spelling mistakes there if there are any.

Lol, you've certainly edited your testimonials for grammatical and spelling mistakes!

Look....rustyironchains' advice makes sense, in a way; but after working for them for over a year (with most rates as low as 2 o 3 $/page) and a thousand other issues all I can say to myself is - what was I thinking?? I needed the money badly, who else is to pay for tuition fees and so many other things, but I could've done anything else and not work for this horrendous company. I think that somewhere down the line you are going to be sorry for all the stress, time and effort you put in this job. Look for other companies, I'm telling you there are some which are far, far better and where you may actually be treated humanely. I'm speaking from experience, there is a tremendous difference between them and most others (can't speak for all, but I've tried a few and there's simply no comparison - it can't get any worse than essaywriters). And don't get elated for being chosen, I think they accept anyone who can speak English - the problem with them is that everything is automatic on their site - no genuine selections, no HR and, as a matter of fact, very little human involvement all together. The word "mill" has been used many times in relation to them - and it's oh so true. Now I got paid, especially in the beginning, but the fees they apply for anything are huge and the payments were ALWAYS late. By contrast, I work now for one company who pays almost immediately after you have sent the work. Essaywriters can be tempting, esp. since they give you access to any order on their site and you don't depend on the staff to assign work to you- but my advice is to think this over and try some other places also. You may be able to make some money with them, but you'll see it's not really worth it. Trust me there are companies who pay 5 times what they pay, have a great staff ect - in a word it's heaven compared to essaywriters.

I love these guys' "English":

"20 Oct 2009
Dear Writers,

In order to prevent misunderstandings we have provided changes into our previous news. Please review."

What in the world does the phrase "provided changes into our previous news" mean??
Poor Noam Chomsky would really have a hard time explaining this one with the aid of generative linguistics.

Also, have you noticed that all their announcements speak about new fines?

Please take into consideration that it is obligatory for all writers. Consistent reporting will be a good investment into your promotion and lead to compensation increase, while ignorance of reporting will lead to immediate fines(5% from order total and will increase if ignorance recurs). Please mind that providing false information on progress will lead to even bigger fines(starting 10% from order total and up).

Best regards,
Writers Dept.

Look through their site a bit: do you you like their English? the tone of their announcements (always threatening)? their "terms and agreement" (even more threatening)? Check their replies to you - you'll get so many automated, standard replies that you'll feel as if you were speaking to a robot. Good communication among all the parties involved is essential in this business: you won't get that here; they don't care about you, your work, your efforts and your needs, your time, your money and all that. It is simply not a healthy work environment. All they need is to use you like they use all their writers, there's no serious cooperation beyond that. Oh and btw, they will call you a thousand times when the deadline of an order is approaching - and for many other reasons as well. It really does not matter if it is 4 am or something like that. I'd say think it over really well and try other options before working for them.

Dear Writers!

We would like to inform you about the new feature available in the system- SMS notification.
SMS feature is available as an option at the bottom of writer's profile along with the e-mail one.Writers that chose the feature subscribe for all the kinds of notifications sent by the company (notification about revision request, preferred writer for the order, lateness with submission etc.) In case a writer refuses from sms feature he/she still receives a notification if they are late with the product/product revision.

We hope the new service will be helpful to you.

Thank you for cooperation,
Writers' Dept.

"Each writer's performance is checked by QAD at the end of the month and those, who are qualified for the promotion, will be informed about that via our messaging system.

Good luck with your work!

Best regards,
Quality Assurance Department

It just makes my day every time I read something written on their site. How can these people control the quality of the papers they deliver to their customers if their English looks like a different language altogether? How can you "refuse from sms feature"? "product/product"?? "all the kinds of notifications"? And their punctuation...

It has been 3 weeks since we stopped putting late orders on "Hold". After careful analysis of writers' performance during the last 3 weeks we have discovered that tendency for lateness has grown. In this respect we have decided to leave fines for late delivery "Order deadline over", "Revision Deadline Over" even if client does not complain on lateness.
