Oxbridgeessays is an affiliate of academic answers limited. Also, law-essays,ukessays etc. My story--I applied as an academic writer at law-essays. Academic Knowledge wrote me and asked me to submit my CV and portfolio. After 5 to 7 working days they accepted my application. The information stated at the site is that the writer can write whenever he wants to--complete liberty. After accepting my application, they sent me a contract with straight jacket terms of producing 2,500 words per week and with penalties up to GBP1000. I mulled over it and decided not to sign the contract. Academic Knowledge writes me to remind me that I have so many days more to decide and attaches an email from a staff with the marketing propaganda of liberty in writing. I declined but asked for clarification because of the contradictions. There was no reply. After sometime, I followed up--not the status as I have declined the offer--but that of the clarification and the same staff of academic knowledge sends me an answer that my application was unsuccessful. In explaining further she said, they have decided to not to proceed with my application.

My English must be suffering (sic)--it was I who refused to sign the contract AFTER my application has been accepted.
Up until now--there is no explanation as to why site information is inconsistent with their contract.

Hi,

All of these companies (oxbridge essays, oxbridge graduates, essay writers uk, law-essays, are being managed and operated by the same people. Please check their web sites, you would see that all have the same contact numbers, lay out etc.

I have heard that all use the same pool of writers.
I wont take the chance if it is for PhD.

another victim

Why dont we file complaints! It has been said that these companies are not registered as corporations by the US and Canadian Governments--it is illegal to operate business claiming to be corporations when they are not. There are tax issues as well that they perhaps avoid.

It is also surprising why there is mystery over being protective in giving out the name/s of executive officers of the companies. I wonder why??

They exploit writers by not paying their salaries which they have already worked hard for. They themselves are ignorant of their own policies.
Let us join efforts and file complaints before the SEC of US sec.gov and Canada strategis.ic.gc.ca; domain by proxy; internet crime organization of the FBI.

By the way, domain by proxy management wrote me and asked that I send to them my complaint and evidence.
Let us agree on the time frame when to do it. Let us flood them with our complaints and constant follow ups. There are people who are exploited because they allow themselves to be exploited. Let us be vigilant and assertive in our rights. Let us all be tenacious. It doesn't cost much to do all these--if we keep silent, the cost on ourselves with be far too much!

Writing Careers / Stop Writing for essaywriters.net [340]

Whoever are working for essaywriters.net, and who plan to intend working for essaywriters.net, I have a sincere request to make so that you people do not get cheated in the manner as I and my other writers before me got cheated.

I have recently been victimized. Pen is mightier than anything--so why don't we use our writing skills to flood the proper authorities in Government to move and investigate.

Let us not raise issues of correcting each other's typo or grammatical mistakes or issues of race, etc. We need to be united people so that we can all be heard. Why would we allow them to take advantage of us.

Let us declare war and launch our pens!! Start writing complaints before the US SEC, Canadian strategis, internet crime organization.

The point is : we worked hard and earned every bit of dollar and which they should pay on the specific day, salaries are supposed to be paid. They even should pay us interest for holding on to our salaries for too long!

They squeeze us of our blood ! Let our voices of dissent be heard by the authorities--let us file complaints.

I started working for them mid Feb. I took orders mostly on Law because I am with the legal profession.
The issue involved one of my earlier projects on discrimination in employment in the UK. In the middle of drafting and researching--using my personal online legal library--I wrote the client in the messaging system provided by EssayWriters for the said order. I requested additional 3 pages considering that the subject matter is extensive and broad. The client failed to check his messages--according to admin. So I went on drafting until a few days before the deadline --I uploaded the draft because there was still no word from client. This was early part of March.

Thereafter, the amount 136 usd appeared in my Earnings Report together with other earnings from the other projects.
Also sometime in the early part of March, I called them up to ask for help as I wanted to make sure that my bank account details are properly saved. Jason told me it was fine already.

I went writing until 29 March --the 3 additional pages were not paid for nor did the client read his messages or leave word. One of the messages I wrote admin was--I can charge the 3 pages to experience..but I feel that the company also has interest in collecting the additional 3 pages--this message was written sometime 2nd week or so in March.

I went on writing the other projects and have completed a total of 6 or 7. On 29 March I checked my earnings report and found out that the amount 136 usd was taken out leaving me with 68 usd for the first payment cycle of 1 Apr.

I called numerous times, chatted with staff in the chat service--and a Jeffrey chatted with me who--kept on writing over the chat "YOU WILL BE PAID 136!!!!"

The admin called me up to explain that it is their policy because the client agreed to pay the extra 3 pages. So I asked why they had to pull out the total amount of 136 usd--this has been processed and paid for initially by client. I told them they can credit the additional 3 pages to my apr 15 salary. They said--it is the policy. I never read any policy like that. I can read English and comprehend English fully!

I wrote messages and emails...and called several times more.
Then on the same day, Simon Bandl informed me that my payment details were not saved and therefore my salary cannot be processed.!!!
This all happened a day before cut off--the company decided to collect the 3 pages --a day before cut off; the company decided that my payment bank details profile was not saved--a day before cut off!! When in fact if the infamous accountant had the intention of REALLY processing my salary--then it would not have been discovered ONLY A DAY BEFORE CUT OFF--A SATURDAY!!

You see, I stumbled upon this site only 3 weeks ago and I was keeping my fingers crossed that these things that I read about would not happen to me. But it did!!

I believed in good faith but the incidents proved me otherwise.
I even wrote admin in the messaging system that after all, I was beginning to believe all the things I have read here. Helen Mann asked me for the link--as if she didnt know...when they have infiltrated our ranks already.

They decided to reinstate the 136 plus adjustment for the 3 pages on 31 March--with a message that --they cannot process my salary for this period 1 apr and that they will do so by 15 Apr. I stopped writing--and for the 6 or 7 projects I finished---I am supposed to receive an amount close to 500usd.

I cannot understand why these people could not run the business in a fair way. They have to hold on to our salaries for too long--how can they ever feed their families with that which belongs to us. Morally depraved!

I know EssayWriters--you are reading this-- pay my salary!
Quite pathetic. I told the staff who was so disrespectful during the chat--to have a little shame for after all, part of the salary he is receiving came from the sweat and labor of the writers, who until now are not paid a single cent!

Then when I followed up my salary today, another staff told me he is happy although his salary is delayed.
Quite pathetic, they must think that we are stupid fools.

I will wait till 15 apr --they shouldnt underestimate people.

Yes Essayer, I earned every bit of it. The write ups were all legal. Most often, one project consists of 9 to 25 pages that entails extensive research in different law jurisdictions.

I actually enjoyed writing because EW.net's task orders are quite interesting. I never had any problem with them until the fateful 29th of March and the chat with the staff. I never violated any of their policies. I also am very cautious with my write ups and check it against my own plagiarism software in case of carelessness in placing the proper quotation marks.

I get to communicate with the clients via their messaging system and I must admit that a few learned quite a bit as we discussed how the draft should be written. There are clients also who do not care-they just leave their work for writing, pay and leave with the draft without a word.

Well, as of today I checked and it appears from the Earnings Report that they paid 228 USD. I hope they really wired it to my bank account because just hours ago when I had a chat with a staff, he said my salary isn't processed yet.

If that amount goes to my account ,I am left with 254 usd for the 15 Apr. salary period.
From how it appears way out here, they are rectifying their mistakes. We will just have to wait and see.

hi essayer. no payments received. was reading threads on other topics here.

Strictly in a legal sense, it should not be referred to as 'salary'-it may be called 'professional fees.' Please allow me to share with you my thoughts:

1-We have discretion to choose from the hundreds of orders at EW.net;
2-once we take an order, we are bound by the terms of the policies of EW.net--that is, at X price per page and for a total of N pages, and for the written product to be uploaded on or before the deadline specified;

3-After 1 and 2 has been complied with by us, the total amount for the project/task as appearing in the order, is reflected in our respective Earnings Report. This means that payment for that written piece has been paid by the client and processed by EW.

4.-The rest of the payment goes to the pocket of EW. We only receive a fraction of what the client pays. This is capitalism--EW has overhead expense and profit margin.

5-I am not bothered by the fact that they do get a larger portion. After all, I have the option not to take a particular writing project if I feel that the price vis-a-vis the nature of the research is under-priced.

6-What bothers me is the fact that-EW can unilaterally and arbitrarily 'pull out' a part of our earnings/fees without notice to us. Legally, the Earnings Report is a contract of fees receivable by us--it is an identified amount SEGREGATED for us to receive on the dates specified in their polcy, i.e. for work done from 1-15 of the month to be paid on 1-3 on the immediately following month; and for work done 16-31 (30) on 15-18 on the immediately following month.

Therefore, they must strictly comply with the above because we already have a RIGHT over the fees stated in the report. Taking it out without notice to us and without basis and cause (based on the written policy) is ROBBING us of our money.

7-What bothers me is--based on what I read from these threads--writer who is charged with plagiarism, will not receive his total earnings as EW will withhold his fees receivables.

I read their policies on this issue and I find it a bit vague and incomplete. For whatever it is worth, there should be a time frame and procedure to allow the writer accused of plagiarism to DISPUTE the report. Moreover, withholding the total fees is a bit unjust. There should also be gradation of offenses, for instance if one writer is accused for the first time of plagiarism for a particular project--then the fees for that project should be held by EW pending the resolution of the dispute and NOT the total fees receivable which includes other past projects. Perhaps, if the writer has already been found guilty of the offense in the past and is accused again of the same offense for the second and third time--then it SHOULD only be the time when EW can withhold the total receivables.

I feel that the company should make clear, definite and specific policies. It should consult writers too. They also have to realize that in this business they need to protect not only their interests but also of the writers and their valued clients.

They need to protect their writers from unscrupulous clients who accuse without basis, those who demand unreasonable revisions.
For instance, if the client demands revision of work based on instructions which are different from the previous work order--EW should charge a new fee for the revision and pay the writer a part of that too.

Finally. on plagiarism--there should be a clear policy on what it constitutes--for instance--References can NOT be part of the plagiarism charge--how to write entries for bibliography is based on rules and therefore--similar patterns result.

To hold otherwise would be absurd because consequently, all the authors and writers would be all guilty of plagiarism.
