Did you read the essay? Why did you submit it if it was so poor? Surely you did not just buy an essay and send it to your school/college/university without reading it? I am UK based and have recently signed up as a freelance writer (law mainly) via an essay writing company. I would be really surprised if the people who pay for my essays do not bother to read them. I would think it would be easy to recognise a D+ article as opposed to B+ article. Hope you have not run out of time to claim a refund though.

It is a pity that you asked for a revision rather than a refund. Maybe you should tell them that you no longer require a revision and require a refund instead. As per their refund policy:

"In case of any dissatisfaction from any product or service provided by The Essay, you can submit a refund request within five days of your order completion. However, it shall be assumed between both parties that you are satisfied with your order if a refund request is not received within five days."

If they misunderstood the brief (rather than you giving them an unclear brief) they should at least offer a full or partial refund.
