I must be blank now, i just applied to the company and i was introduced by a friend, i have written several trial papers but still not qualified, they must be selling those papers.

Could you please elucidate what the topics of the "several trial papers" were?

A friend of mine had applied there and the only topic she had to write on was 'Plagiarism'.

You should fill in the Sign up Form on the website.

Please could you explain which site provides the option for the postition of a writer as well as an office job (Home based)?

I am keenly interested in any internet home based job (other than writing), as an online customer support or representative.

For real am not an American hoping that doesn't matter, what matters much is honesty in everything.

It never really matters whether your'e an American, Indian, Philopino or anyone else, as long as you have excellent writing skills, in the language you choose to write. However, if you do not possess the necessary writing skills, (In this case English language), you are most likely to jeopardize the academic future of the many students, who are likely to approach you for help.

So, Please think deep before actually accepting to aid any student.

Thanks.

However, I still encounter many instances wherein ESLs are placed as the last option or the reserve alternative.

It's sad that you succumb to such distinction in spite of being talented (which you consider yourself to be). Once you learn to put your foot down and stop bowing down to such discrimination, things begin to change.............but the effort is neccesary.

oh please, stop the drama. Face reality.

I dont have the time or inclination to do that and speak from real situations and experiences. It's high time You realize your true potential and push your self forward, provided you truly believe in your self.

Being American does not mean that you cannot make grammatical errors or even be out of topic and being an ESL does not mean you cannot write a perfect paper,

Very true.
I would also like to add that when we speak of potential students who desire the help of writing companies, we should not simply consider the American, European or the English speaking populace, but take into account the entire Global community of students who may have difficulty or problems or any other personal reasons in seeking help with their papers, including those from the Middle East and the Asian region.

I believe that there are just as many talented ESL writers as there are EFL writers and that English as a language really isn't that hard to master.

Thumbs Up to this comment.

In fact no language is difficult to master if one works hard.

If the end product is of optimal quality, nothing deters clients from commending the writers. The clients don't really care who has written the paper once they get the desired results.

The undeniable fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority (based on my vast experience) of ESL writers in the "essay industry" employ broken English.

I do agree. However, you must take into account the fact that not all customers seeking help from writers and companies look for the finest quality of papers with regard to English language. In fact, there are many who precisely state that their language is not perfect, hence, the paper should also be similar to their writing levels.

Desperate writers who are located outside of the US are also much more likely to break US copyright laws and plagiarize.

Some companies do take strict measures to avoid plagiarism, and if a paper or an assignment is found to be plagiarized, the writer is penalized strictly.

Those who are dedicated to their jobs, know plagiarism to be an offense and thats the reason why many writers stick around for several years.

Having said that, it can't be denied that like in any other profession, there are people who function with the sole intention of making money, and would, in due course of time, run out of work, or, be fired.

Who gets the shaft? Consumers.

Consumers must be smart enough to thoroughly research before actually seeking academic help, a decision which could change the course of their future, with the help of forums, such as this one.

Personally, I consider it absolutely unethical to lie about anything at all, because I am proud of the country I belong to and do not consider it necessary to lie about my nationality to anyone for whatever reason.

I strongly feel that Writing companies must also stop lying to their consumers regarding the nationality and false credentials of their writers.

I believe that a great majority of these non-American intellectuals can hold their own in the use of the English language.

Thats a real fact. Those who know the real world are aware that many of the individuals at higher posts come from the Non-English speaking countries, simply based on their intellect and their ability to work hard.

I disagree with your flimsy assumption that offshore writers have a greater tendency to plagiarize.

Agree.

Reading between lines is simple and this connotation was pretty apparent.
It really doesn't make a difference if an individual or two try to judge you or "disqualify" you. It really doesn't matter what an individual thinks about me or my capabilities.

But some people Are like that and the knowledge of a second language (sometimes third) serves the dual purpose of making us sensitive to diverse and distinct cultures and communities.

This is one of the many reasons why the USA has initiated, and strongly supports the learning of Second Language in their GOALS '96.

I would like to ask WritersBeware if she is proficient in any other language besides English?

There's a HUGE difference between "writing competence" and "professional writing."

I think there is a direct co-relation between the two, because in due course of time, one can only be a successful professional writer if one is competent enough to write in the required language.
dearbats
Sep 18, 2008

Ofcourse innocent consumers shouldn't pay for this..........It's up to the company to assign projects keeping in mind the true potential of the writer/s.

The contracted writers should also be responsible enough to undertake assignments which suit their qualifications and area of expertise.

There is as much responsibility on the writers as on the company to see that the consumers get true value for their money and not attain some peice of crap, in return for what they have paid.

The "emphatic Yes" comes from someone who has no idea of the satisfied clientele being catered to.

Parasite ResearchIf you'd only rid yourself of the prejudices, you'd be able to see clearly that people who You judge and consider professionally unfit to write, are extremely successful in their professional writing careers.

Repeat orders from the same consumers are proof of the professional services being delivered to a vast clientele, time and again.

Which particular community of "American consumers" is being discussed here?
Those who pride themselves in being American and place orders with companies which hire ESL writers? (I'm sure many of the consumers now Know that these companies hire ESL writers).

Why then do they keep placing their orders with the same company and keep requesting the same writers who had worked on their earlier projects?

The bottom line is that as long as consumers (of any nationality) continue to place orders and repeat orders, like it or not, professional ESL writers will continue to flourish.

If American companies pride themselves in providing optimal quality papers to clients, they should lower their rates, so that they can be accessible to the Entire community of consumers, rather than only a select few who have the required money for the exorbitant services.

It's a demand and supply game. If American companies increase their supply with the rising demands of the writing industry, with reduced prices, I'm sure WB will have lesser work to do here :)

Tell me--against which race(s) am I "prejudice"?

I did not once mention that you have "prejudices" against any "race(s)".
What I did imply is that you have set prejudices against those who You do not consider competent or professional enough to write in English.

By the way, there are "ESL mistakes" in all of your posts

How would you justify the Top Grades for the numerous consumers I write for, Each time? Why is it that the professors of Graduate American schools who check the papers Fail to notice these mistakes and give such good grades to the many clients whom I help, and as long as my "PAYING customers" have no issues with the quality of work, I shall continue to work professionally.

By the way, there are "ESL mistakes" in all of your posts

I would love to take classes from you to correct my grammatical mistakes, if you do agree to accept me as an online student of yours :).

(I mean it!). I believe in being an eternal learner.........
You may e-mail me at dearbk@yahoo or provide me with your e-mail address so that I can contact you.........

It's not a consideration. It's a fact. There are inherent flaws in your writing, which you obviously do not even recognize because English is not your first language.

Fine

If you know that your consumers are turning in YOUR work for academic credit, then you are enabling/perpetuating academic fraud and should be ashamed.

Why should I be ashamed? ..........YOU should launch national programs to make the American consumers aware of the shame!
Like I wrote earlier, it's a demand and supply chain..........America's attitude to some of the third world countries is more than shameful and is condemned by the entire global commnity......yet, America doesn't stop!

The point I'm trying to make here is that even if you and I shout, yell and scream regarding the unethical nature of certain issues, there will be supply, as long as there is demand!

So, rather than wasting energy on things which are not likely to change, you should concentrate on having an online training academy for ESL writers......believe me..you'll never run out of business :)

Can you pls contact me? My email id is dearbpk@yahoo .co.in

I tried contacting you personally a number of times, but, apparently, you haven't recieved any mails......

Thanks and Regards.

Say dearbats, don't you think that WB should stop posting her pic here so often? I mean look at her, she looks like a big, fat man-pig for heaven's sake.

Dear EW_writer.

I appreciate some of your posts and the fact that you defend ESL writers, but personally feel that it is wrong to pass such personal and derogatory comments against anyone.

I really do wonder why you hate her so much, considering that you may have never met her in your life..........

By the way.....is that really her? I mean I thought that she is a female.

No it hasn't. People, STOP WRITING FOR ESSAYWRITERS.NET! :D

Why have you suddenly taken this reverse stance?

Surely, this couldn't be one of your comic relief strategies?

Pls could you tell me the reason why you are so hateful about ew.net. If a writer like you hates ew so much, it has to be for a substantial reason........

I mean, why in the world would a company want to falter and lose a writer like you?

I've just found greener pastures. ^_^

And would you be so kind to share them, if not in public, atleast privately, unless ofcourse you don't want to reveal them.....

EW_writer = coward

WritersBeware= A big fat joke. ^_^

The two of you make me laugh.....which is one reason why I look forward to visiting the forum.

Its hard to believe that both of you are mature adults......even my children (twins) don't fight the way you'll do :))

Did you mean "Succotash" (SUHCK-uh-tahsh) which is a Naragansett Indian word meaning "broken into bits."
Succotash is a simple dish, of indigenous corn and lima beans, was introduced to white settlers by the Algonkian and Powhatan tribes of the Southern United States.

Essay Services / Essaybay, what do you think? [264]

However, it seems that the positive feedback that he's earned all come from clients that he himself generated.

GOD! Criminal minds!

anyone care to talk about the best writer they've found on the site so far? ^___^

Self flattery? I thought you already knew? With the steady stream of projects in your kitty, it shouldn't be hard to guess........

Essay Services / Essaybay, what do you think? [264]

You rising popularity on the site proves that your style of writing is immensely appreciated.

I'm currently writing for some companies and am aware that writers are preferred (by the company as well as clients) only when they deliver quality work.

I choose to help the mod decide whether or not a post is legit.

Appreciate this........but am really curious to know HOW in the world you find the time to be here all the time. Its really difficult to believe that there is no financial design to benefit you, so that you spend ALL your valuable time arguing and defending on this forum.

As a freelance ESL writer I have my hands so full that despite the domestic help I have,(3 maids; something which is a luxury in the US) I find it difficult to do many things (like visiting the forum), leave alone arguing with every single prson who posts here!

Surely it doesn't require Bond's brain to see what I see. The focus which you display on this forum appears to be based on much more than firm belief!

Again, Its hard to believe that you are in NO Way associated with the writing industry. If you are not a writer and are not hired by an American writing industry to defend them or demean companies from other "poor" countries, why are you here?

I'm not saying you shouldn't be here, I'm simply asking you, so please don't get personal.

GOD! Whats with the two of you?

Lav, I've respected you for your intelligence and sensitivity and seriously think that you really don't need to engage in this argument to prove your point.

I for one, am aware that you wish people well and are intrinsically nice.....Its disturbing to see you in this mode.....

Apr 16, 2009

Hey, I started that nickname. :p

You certainly did, and it suits her fine, sounds good too!!

What do you think I should do?

Do what you are Best at.....continue helping people in your very own style, nice and sensitive.

Should I just remain silent and let her keep on lying?

Well, you have had your say......Besides, I firmly believe that in some cases, Silence does speak a thousand words.........

I sometimes feel that she gets too personal and too involved in everything and clearly lacks sensitivity. Most of the times she is cynical and bitter which is what makes her so undesirable to many here.

Personally, I try and avoid getting into arguments but sometimes she gets judgemental....Like when she speaks of India and ESL writers from India so poorly, its truly terrible....

Pls don't jump to any conclusions..........She's probably not interested in wasting her time debating with you anymore!

this is not something I would be prepared to do. Students should research and write their own essays.

You're clearly in the wrong place!

Why did you apply?
