I'd be curious to hear other writers' experiences with their clients' demographics, such as estimate of male/female ratio, country of origin, education (high school, college grad), etc. I've noticed that a lot of the top writing sites tend to get substantially more traffic from women, and while I don't know the gender of all of my clients, a good majority of them are women. Coincidence or pattern?

Academic ghost writing is a unique market because:

Maximum Charge Per Pagea) There is no price motive. In other words, a business isn't obligated to justify the price in order to turn a profit. It's just individuals trying to get good grades

and

b) There's an extremely high premium placed on superior quality. In other words, to a rich kid with a big enough bank account, the difference between an A+ in a course and a B- could potentially be thousands of dollars...

However, the trick is distinguishing yourself as a superior writer and also finding this niche of rich kids with super high academic standards. What's been your experience in this?

PS - I know that not only the "rich kids" use our services. I'm just surprised that some reputable UK services can charge so much per page and get good business (nice for them I guess).

What is a writer's best course of action if his or her client doesn't pay for a portion of the essay? Assuming the writer has the client's personal information, such as name and school, what are the pros and cons of threatening to "out" the client for plagiarism? Does anyone have experience with this?
