What's the most you as a writer have ever gotten per page?

Academic ghost writing is a unique market because:

Maximum Charge Per Pagea) There is no price motive. In other words, a business isn't obligated to justify the price in order to turn a profit. It's just individuals trying to get good grades

and

b) There's an extremely high premium placed on superior quality. In other words, to a rich kid with a big enough bank account, the difference between an A+ in a course and a B- could potentially be thousands of dollars...

However, the trick is distinguishing yourself as a superior writer and also finding this niche of rich kids with super high academic standards. What's been your experience in this?

PS - I know that not only the "rich kids" use our services. I'm just surprised that some reputable UK services can charge so much per page and get good business (nice for them I guess).

The key is how much of a rush they're in. I've gotten $50-60 per page, but I think that's rare. Term papers are sort of junk.

The most I ever got for writing in general was $60 for half a paragraph. Pie in the sky! Weird stuff happens sometimes. Better best look for a regular, steady wage.

I hear business writing can get crazy, into the $100s per page.

Good luck finding that niche market, but I think it's more about finding the perfect storm of deadline and desperation.

Nice! Only the best writers can dream about such a good rate. It is possible, but not likely these days unless you work for a renowned student research organization :)

There are lots of writers who make big amount by providing writing services. $60 is really a good amount for a single page.

I was getting big bucks at one of the companies where I previously worked. At least that was the impression they had given me when I was receiving upwards of $20 per page, $30 per page for client requests. The page orders were always no less than 12 pages and the turn-around time was always at least 4 days away. The closer to the deadline the student ordered the paper, the higher the costing went. While I know that the price is probably a fraction of what they actually charge the client, I managed to get more out of the company in a way because my excellent work was always rewarded with a "bonus" by the client upon receipt of his grade. Working independently does have its perks as the writer gets the full contract amount out of the student. However, I was content to pay the "middleman" because I did not want to have to constantly bother with developing a client base and having to do the backroom office work that comes with being an independent writer.

As a writer who was able to set my own rates with the clients, I always took into consideration the budget of the student / how much a student was willing to spend, in relation to required work hours, sources to be used, and deadline. I normally charged anywhere from upwards of $100 at the start of the order negotiations, then worked it downward, depending upon agreed upon requirements with the client. I never allowed my CPP to go below $75 though because I still need to make an income on the paper.

For business clients, specially those that required me to work on multiple copywrites for their companies, I always gave them a base amount that best reflected my advertising copy skills. So I never charged less than $500 for a 2 page copy and charged as high as $2000 for a 10 page copy. I know I can go higher than that since my reputation as a copywriter precedes me every time but then I do not want to price myself out of the market so I keep the rates negotiable for my regular company clients and discountable for the first timers who ask me to do their copy.

It depends on the project, the customer's budget, the work involved, and the deadline. Each client is different, and each project is different. Repeat clients typically get better rates. I will also give a new client a small discount if possible. Overall, though, I don't have a set rate per se because of the potential variables involved in each order. I look at the order details and see what is involved, then I provide a price for the full project-- whether it's 1 page or 100. I do have a minimum, though, and won't go lower regardless of project length or deadline.

I do not immediately price the project once I receive a work request. I always ask the client to present the work requirements first, his budget second. I then work my expenses around the budget and work requirement. Depending upon what my final costing would be for each page, I would either add on to the proposed price or, accept based on the initial offer of a client. I try to never haggle the price since the student is the one that requires my service, so he should be willing to pay a premium price for a guaranteed A grade paper. I am always ready to walk away from any client who tries to haggle my price.

The price of the order should be kept confidential. Writer charges on depend not only on the page or number of words but also other considerations. That would be in relation to the reference materials required, technicality of the paper, and other possible client requests specific to the paper completion. That is why it is difficult to say exactly how much a writer would get per page. The most he may have received is not something that should also be made public because he might end up accidentally pricing himself out of the market.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

Frankly, I also factor in how much I want and need the particular project.
