I'm a first year university student looking to generate a bit of income by selling my essays online. While I'm not by any means a brilliant writer, I managed to achieve a few D/HD essays in my first semester. What I'm unsure about is the most profitable avenue to take.
I've narrowed it down to two options:
1.
Sell my essays outright to sites such as GradeSaver and MyEssays. But some of essay sale services are foreign companies so I don't want to give them my personal information?
After graduating high school I sold about a dozen essays using this method, for about $15-20 a piece. Though I realise that the hours I spent crafting my essays were a sunk cost, I can't help but feel bitter about selling my work for such a pittance.
My biggest concern is the submission review process; what's to stop companies from stealing my work? I've had this happen in the past, so any recommendations of high-paying, trustworthy sites would be greatly appreciated. :)
2. 'Pay per use' sites like Academon
While I don't expect people to be clamouring after my work given the sheer number of papers on these sites, I like the idea of generating something closer to passive income. It'd be nice to see a few extra dollars in my bank account every once in a while, even if it's highly irregular.
I was also wondering about what repercussions, if any, I might face if several people are found to have plagiarised my essay.
My uni uses Turnitin software and while I highly doubt any action will be taken against me, I still wonder whether I'm complicit in aiding academic fraudsters by putting my essay online for research purposes. Am I acting in bad faith, knowing that there are people stupid enough to try and pass off work from essay databases as their own? I'm not responsible for the actions of others, yet I've always refused offers to write international students model essays on ethical grounds. It's getting harder to know where to draw the line.
