Yes, agree that the UK and US standards are very different, but good work is good work and both are recognised in the same way... it is only the numerical value of the mark that is different. When I was studying in the USA, there was a lot of talk about "grade inflation" so that is something to consider...

Good writers look for work, period. I am fairly new to this type of writing and all the companies I have talked to as a writer have been a bit suspect. They dont really treat writers very well and the prices paid to writers are not fair... at all...

So is the scam that they are off-shore and claiming to be native English speakers? Or do they actually scam in a way that takes money off the students and then not deliver the work?

I agree with MeoKhan -- as a writer, the search for a reputable company is difficult and I have run into a few that have an incredibly "delayed" payment schedule for the writer, yet they continue to push more and more work to the writers.

This area of essay writing and editing is already "ethically challenged" and I would hate for a strong writer to get lost in the world of a dubious company.
