You're right, and I'll openly admit that I did not give this company a chance provide a no-cost re-write, and that I (perhaps unfairly) am judging ET in general by one experience.

ET was disadvantaged in my choosing of the topic -- it was simple in nature, and would not require much time to complete. Because of this, it was easily completed by myself before the deadline (their deadline was 8hrs before mine). Unfortunately for ET, they were left judged by our interaction above.

I will continue looking, as I need to be able to trust that whomever I give my actual deadline to will produce a quality product the first time around. I would think a better final product would result from not padding deadlines, especially the sort that would be required for an actual paper. Sorry, ET.

Edit -- Response to HKGuy1:
Getting any sort of refund is not a priority. I could care less about "chasing them up". I was well aware of this risk before payment.

My apolgies for the lack of clarity. I was using *********.

Contacted their customer support, asked for a 60% refund. Their response was clear:

"We do not issue full refunds for completed orders. This was clearly
stated in our terms and conditions which you agreed to and
electronically signed. If there are issues with this order you can
submit a rewrite/modification request listing all of the problems, and
the writer will correct them immediately."

I sent them a final e-mail stating that I understood but would not use them again, and asked them to investigate the legitimacy of the writer's credentials.

And the search continues.

I know this is a first post, but you may want to look into the thread below.I am looking for something similar (mid-life crisis conflicting with school), and these two are the only sites I've found so far.

It's too bad there's a post count before PM's are allowed to be sent, or I would PM writers on here directly. Perhaps you could try that?

I Lost the link in copy&paste, but search for thread titled: "********* and Custompapers".

I just tried the website (custom essay, 3rd year level) for a 2-page assignment, to test if they would be up for an actual essay. 24hrs, really simple history assignment. Miserable fail:

1) Tense shifts randomly throughout;
2) Sentences were shifted to make way for large, sometimes illogical, words choices;
3) Very awkward writing style. I doubt English as a first language, or more than a HS Education;
4) I believe the author lives in America... as "we" and "us" is constantly used to represent the US;
5) Failure to capitalize proper nouns;
6) Awkward comma errors and other basic grammatical mistakes;
7) Padding. A couple issues, from bibliography refs to the simple word count -- or maybe his style is just that awkward; and
9) AWKWARD. The whole thing.

Anyways, I'll let you know how the (partial) refund goes, as (if this was being submitted) it would have the potential of maybe a D+ or C- after an hour of editing.

Grr. I think I need another site for help with one of the essays in a couple weeks.
To think I was going to give $400 to this site without testing them...
