That's actually quite sad. Most of "professional ESL writers" do not show a slightest desire to improve they skills; they just envy the market creators (another foreigners), by whom awfully exploited, they came here, to have their dues get paid back by even more naive customers. It would be quite awesome if they underlie their strengths like their specialization or dissertations field they can work on, or just anything worth showing off. Most likely then, these linguistic shortcomings would not be such a huge deal, if trumped by the deep knowledge. but in most cases that wouldn't be an issue...


This is so true. Power of marketing ;) As the eloquence shines through a well written, witty paper, it can always save a sorry ass out of the trouble in case of the knowledge flaws. If the poor writing skills get on the way of the best factual information, it is still a bad reading, hence a bad paper. It is very possible then that the entire liberal arts' field may be covered by the one good English writer, with much of a dedication to non-side-tracked researches ;)

Once we move to the science side of the equation however, there is no way that a great-english-poor-knowledge research paper would defend itself. Even though an internet and few passwords to scientific journals could make a trick ;) but one has to be willing to break through and understand the topic

Also the whole issue of literacy, in a wide context, and any science as a secondary to it, are well documented in psychology. There is a pretty small threshold for acquiring speech and communication skills (closely related to literacy) whereas we have an entire life span to learn all other details like engineering or medicine ;)

That's so funny, isn't it? However the stress was not over this unfortunate money but over my actual papers and the finals. This was the bottom of the entire story. Than i realized quite quickly, being spammed by several ESL writers, that literally NONE of them is capable to deliver ANYTHING close to the proper, or what as an A student and a language freak I would consider as a proper, college paper. Their shortcomings were endless - language, knowledge of topic, knowledge of paper format - intro with decent thesis, body, conclusion. NULL.

Then my time came to it's end, and the service which may have delivered what i needed was out of my price range. The final writing round was ultimately on my own, unfortunately while trying to get ready for my finals. So the stress is off. And my beautiful ESL is back. lol Also I strongly believe that each of these annoying assignments brings me one step up on the English ladder ;)

By the way, you could not be closer to the truth! I have always thought I am making it up, but it feels like two different ppl are talking through my mouth. There are times any political discourse on economy of superpowers is possible, there are others when buying a ticket at a movie theater makes me feel like a just-arrived-tourist. And as we have discussed before, the good proofreading from time to time would help tremendously. I love the beauty of the language and possibilities to play with it, so it is damn frustrating not being able to express myself clearly.

i am seriously planning to take an ethic class just for the pure pleasure of making an extensive research in this field. the biggest surprise i came across recently and truly hilarious environment with a full range of cony-techniques.

but writer's identity is also checkable and some make it official even here. i'm convinced that both sides of the equation are involved in illegal procedure and writer is not a "freelancer/writer" from a legal standing especially if he knows all the way through, having names of university and discussing "your professor" he does, what he id doing.

the "essay writing industry" surprised me with its genormous scale and criminal-like way of operating. few exceptions do not change the meaning of "industry" which of course implies generalization - we are talking roughly about ~90%.
