hi, i was just wondering if there are any writers on this board and if so, what your specialty subjects are?
Most of us who really do this on a full-time professional basis don't specialize in narrow areas; if anything, we "specialize" in covering a fairly wide range of subject matter. Naturally, we do papers in our own areas of academic training, but hardly excusively. In my case, for example, my only formal degress are in Law, Psychology, and History, but I write hundreds of papers every year on Business Administration, Nursing, and Sociology, among many other areas. Keep in mind that you don't need a degree to learn enough about a particular topic in a field to write a good paper on that isolated topic, that books are the basis of academic learning, and that most of us have (or have access to) many many books.
ok, thanks. if thats the case are there ways of directly contacting writers with a subject to see whether they would be interested in completing a piece of work, or does this have to be done through an agent site (i know you cannot mention individual sites)? if it did have to done through an agent site would a writer be able/ willing to give the name of their agent site privately through email/ private message or would they be able/ willing to look at the topic first through private message/ email through this forum?
According to the rules of this forum, we're not supposed to use this system to solicit business. More generally, most of us who do this for a living take assignments through companies and we also try to do as much work for private customers as possible. Obviously, the latter is always our preference because we don't have to split the fee with anybody. Check EssayChat.com for writers.
hi, thanks for the information, very helpful. it's pretty much what i thought. basically just trying to sound out some writers without actually asking the question directly (which was probably obvious).
i've seen the essay chat site but like all sites you have no idea who is ligitimate and who is not so thought i look here as well which seems to have slightly lessened my fears. i know that you are always going to be taking chance unless you know the writer, but it seems there are a few people who are popping up on a number of sites who i will now research further.
so once again, thanks.

Question : Writers, what general fields do you like to write about?
Just wanted to ask you what you guys like and what you would consider your area of specialty.
I like to write about plagiarism.
I like to write about criminal justice.

Ethics.
LMAO! Now I can understand why you are known as an incompetent writer. When you don't know about ethics, how dare you write about it?

Now I can understand
Be honest, now...
I am honest always.

Since I have a Bachelors degree in English and separate masters degrees in English Literature and English History, I often wrote about topics and themes related to these fields. Having a second degree in Creative Writing, I also preferred to write papers for my clients that allow my imagination to soar or, allowed me to build up the student's image in college application essays.
That said, I also enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone every so often. If a topic piques my interest at that point in time, then I would definitely write about that theme for the student. You might say that because of my educational background, I had a mostly general interest in writing.
Before I totally left the academic writing field, I was well into helping students develop their short story papers for their own creative writing classes. Most of my students at that level were in high school and just beginning to learn the ropes.
I liked helping them learn how to write creatively, regardless of the topic because eventually, my work for them would evolve into editing jobs of their own writing.
When a client of mine reached that point, I knew I had done my job properly and inspired another student to get out of his comfort zone so that he could at least try to write in his own voice.
Come to think of it, I would have to say that I enjoy writing about any topic under the sun.

I like to write about movies, advertising, and books. Indeed, it is quite interesting to analyze an image that indends to convey a specific message to the audience. Consider, for example, presidential commercial ads or political images.
If you want to be an in-demand academic writer, you should not specialize in only one or a few fields. You should have the ability to write about any given topic because your income depends upon it. I for one do not claim to have a specialization because that means there are areas where I am weak in writing. Instead, I ask the student, "What subject do you think I cannot write about?" A clear indication that I am not limited in academic scope and that I am willing to do any task that he is able to pay for. I do not believe in outsourcing work to my partner writers. Instead, I ask my partner writers to point me in the right direction if I feel that I need guidance when writing certain papers. All I need is some instruction and the client gets the paper that I assured him he would be getting from me. So when asked if I specialize in any topic, my answer is always quick, "I specialize in all of them."
I also do not "specialize" in a given topic/subject area. Of course, there are somethings I prefer not to do. For example, I am proficient with accounting, but I hate math, so it depends on what the project involves as to whether I will accept the order. Many times, the client is also happy to provide the "math" and have me do the written analysis. So, whatever their needs, we can generally help in some way. :)
Unless you are very knowledgeable and competent in a particular field, I also don't believe that you should strategically market yourself in a specific field. Because flow and influx of work is imperative for most freelance writers, limiting the work you can do to a field (not unless you are really, really great at it and would ensure that the work there is constantly in demand) can harm your work in the long-run.
Every qualified writer who does this (well) for a living knows how to write great projects in many different fields, some of which we never studied in school. You just need to be realistic and honest about your experience while building your competence in different areas. Some of my most regular clients have been nurses and educators even though I'd never written anything about either field when I first started doing this. Within a few years and a few hundred Nursing and Education projects later, I was writing their theses and dissertations with very good results.
While writers should indicate that they specialize in whatever undergraduate course they completed, the students automatically assume that writers can churn out a paper regardless of the topic thrown at them. That is why it would be detrimental for a writer to outright admit that he has writing limitations. He can say that the "prefers" to write about a certain topic, but remains open to writing about any academic topic presented to him. If he is so picky that he only writes about topics he studied for his undergrad course, then he won't last in the academic writing business for long. He will eventually find that he is not progressing as a writer and, his capacity to earn is extremely limited. So, when someone asks me what my writing specialty is, I simply ask "What do you want it to be?"
Any other active writers at this forum? Or should I just get the app to write my paper?
I am a currently enrolled college freshman whose academic writing responsibilities overlap with my professional work time. I know. most of you will say that I should just adjust my after work activities to provide time to complete my school papers. The problem is, doing that would mean losing my work-school-private life balance. I was thinking of looking for an academic writer to work with at this forum but it appears that there are only 2 active professional users at this forum, leaving me with very little choice in terms of writers. Can anybody here tell me about their experience with these people? I don't mean refer me to previous threads for evidence of quality, I mean more recent users who are satisfied with their services. Are they any good or, should I opt to use an AI writer instead since there are a lot of apps out there to choose from.

https://essayscam.org/freelance-writers/Hold on there @academiagirl. Let me make one thing clear. I am a RETIRED academic writer who does not have any intention of going back to the business. I give the floor to Freelancewriter in this case. I am here to share my work experience and help guide the students who want to hire reliable academic writing services. I can give advice, but I will not work on an academic paper anymore. I am enjoying my retirement from the field too much. BTW, welcome to EssayScam. I hope you find the kind of writer that you need here. Use the link that the Admin provided. I think they are still active in the business, but check out Freelancewriter first since he is still actively posting at this forum.
