Just wondering, how do essay writing businesses advertise?

These essay writing businesses...if you do a search online, you can find several of them. What I'm curious about is, do they just hope people end up on their site instead of one of the others, or do they do any other advertising? I haven't seen them advertising online, but the type of ads one sees online usually depend on the sort of sites they go to, so maybe I'm just missing the online ads. I can't remember ever seeing ads on campus for things like this. Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

Written Advertising BillboardInteresting. Okay try googling a common issue like existential therapy or climate change. you will probably get a list of helpful pages listed for you by google or whatever search engine you are using.

Now, it is very unlikely that you will check the URL's for these pages- you will just clink on the header, and bingo! you are on a page that appears to comprehensively address your subject.

what you will fail to note is that the page is a truncated piece that has just been put there by one of these essay writing companies to get distressed people like you to notice them.

So as you continue reading and you reach the end, only to realize that the page is incomplete. In fact, there is a prompt at the end of the page asking if you would like to read more of that. If you click on the link you will find a very lucrative offer.

For example, "click here to get access to 35,000 other essays" or "get you paper written by a professional writer," and so on. From here on you are in business with them-like it or not. Tragedy is, more often than not you will not get an essay that comes close to the promotional piece.

So make sure you have you belt on because it will be a long journey from that point on.

[Moved from]: How and where to advertise my writing services for students?

Where can I advertise if I have a site helping students with writing essays? It's very simple site on blogspot. Is craiglist good? There's a lot of competition, what is the best and quickest way to advertise essay website with good results?

I know Google banned essay sites but ads are still there. Still I cannot afford Google ads and think they don't work too well.

I plan to help mostly ESL students because I'm not a native English speaker.

Ugh. Gigabyte, of course.

Run a business IN your own, native language FOR people who also natively speak that language.

Run a business IN your own, native language FOR people who also natively speak that language.

That can be done if ESL students in foreign colleges and universities are allowed to write their papers in their own native language. Are you planning to suggest this to the governments?

Or are you now suggesting that an ESL writer can not even target ESL customers? Leave the ESL customers for ESL writers, because ET anyway does not have writers who write ESL, or does it?

Other countries' educational practices are not the problem of American consumers in the American essay industry.

American companies can loot and plunder other countries in the name of free trade and globalization but no one has the right to market their services to American consumers.. this is the biggest hypocrisy I have ever seen.. Shame on you WB.. I am sure you are just a paid tout of American companies which are losing ground to everyone.. they have been beaten by China in goods market and they are about to be kicked off from services sector also.. you will come to find a job in China one day.. better start learning Mandarin now...

My PhD says I can :)

You belong to that race of England which was criminal

Criminals are a `race' unto themselves? An interesting, although highly moronic, sociological theory ...

you were hurled out of ENGLAND to serve your term at the Islands of Australia.. you cheat..

I do plan to visit Australia soon enough. Supposed to be a very beautiful place (despite the presence of your Psycho friend) :)

Keep the weak comebacks rolling ... You are a joke :)

Could someone suggest credible websites to advertise services apart from essaychat?

Forget the Web. Invest in one of those off-freeway billboards.

The legitimate writers who have managed to save up seed money in order to promote their business usually open their own websites to start promoting themselves. Then there are the usual places where 21st century business people turn to promote their business. Social media such as Twitter, FB, and Instagram are places they normally pay to advertise due to the advertising boost that paid advertisements get from these companies. Then of course, one should never forget the fantastic self promotion offered by EssayScam to their users under the EssayDirectory, Writers, and Services listing where independent writers and academic outsourcing companies can pay monthly in order to get a highlighted status on the aforementioned pages. Of course, nobody should discount the importance of self promotion in public places where community bulletin boards exist. These are all effective methods of advertising that have helped a number of writers at this forum become high profile independent writers whose names become synonymous with high quality work, without the middle-man. Craigslist isn't a place that is associated with trust in most instances so it would be better to not advertise in such questionable websites.

By far, the best strategy for building a clientele is to understand that it's a long-term prospect and that it depends mostly on retaining as close to 100% of your clients' future business as possible after their first projects. Very few clients only need a single project; most of them are looking for a long-term association with a reliable writer to help them with all of their written projects until they receive their degrees. Once you have a stable base of a few dozen regular clients, you only need to replace them at roughly the same rate that you lose them to graduation to maintain a full workload. It's not a business that requires a constant inflow of brand new clients unless your work isn't good enough to retain almost every client you ever get for many months or several years after they receive your first work.

Since there is a crackdown on actual advertising from these companies in the search engines, the companies that own them have gotten creative when it comes to advertising. They don't advertise directly as they would get booted out of the system anyway. These days they advertise in the form of "blogs" which are written with specific keywords to allow the search engines to find the blog article. The idea is to get the student to "read" the "blog" which ends up directing them to a "Service" page at the end of the article. By working around the AI system of the search engine, the company manages to advertise hundreds of times without having to pay a cent. So the crackdown has served to be beneficial to the writing company, who now does not have to directly pay for advertising through the search engine or social media accounts.

The idea is to get the student to "read" the "blog".

I find this to be true even until this day. It is also quite a smart way to approach advertising essay writing sites. With the crackdown of the sites, companies have resorted to these subtle and yet effective methods of showing people that they exist. It is good that trustworthy sites often already have an established client base. This makes it easier for them to go long without having the need to excessively advertise their products.

Google seems to have relaxed their rules regarding the inclusion of academic writing services in their search engines. I just ran a search for those very keywords and found that the system now returns results for it. Students can again survey writing websites based on Google rankings and Adwords. So I believe the companies are back to advertising mainly through the Google Search function. Either the rules have been relaxed or the companies have found a way to get around the ban. I always knew Google would not be able to keep that ban in place.
