Big disappointment (UK-registered and well-known company)!

Hi all,
without mentioning the name of the company in question at this stage, I need some advice. Two weeks ago I asked this UK registered well-known company to write an assignment on the topic provided(as detailed as possible)..the work just arrived yesterday and it's catastrophic. There is nothing to improve or adjust as the whole work has to be written from scratch. The writer didn't understand my brief and it seems like it was written by a school boy.

The company offered me a rewrite and asked me to send them the missing points but I have just a week to send my work. I can't risk it again, so I will have to start to write on my own. I asked for a refund, but obviously they will not refund anything.

The only option seems to be a chargeback..any other recommendations?

Thanks

Pokersoft: It's worth the try to send them a cursory list of flaws. If it's egregious spelling, then complain about egregious spelling. If they did not understand the prompt, then ask for a new writer. You have a week and nothing to lose. This also gives you a record of their incompetence for potential refunding.

Is this company quality controller likely to find in your favour, I DONT THINK SO.
I believe the company is Custom essays .co.uk and if you decide to phone then have plenty of change because you will be phoning India,

Their website is state their address as 124 Blair Athol road in Sheffield, its a terraced house in a residential street not a business addrress or office. and the likely reply to your quality control problem will be;

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused.
Your order's been reviewed by our Quality-Assurance Department and it's been concluded that it has been completed properly.
The paper's well-written and follows your initial requirements.
At the same time, we'll be more than happy to revise the work for you if needed. Just specify what exactly needs to edited and we'll make the necessary changes.

In case the revision is no longer applicable we'll be happy to provide you with a substantial discount towards your next order with us.

Do not hesitate to contact us for any assistance.

their attitude is "We got your money now what you going to do about it"

They buy up reports and essays from E-Bay sites around the world alter a few details and sell them on for vast profits.

If this is not the case and you do get a refund please report their name on here, it would be a welcome change to get some good feedback for a change

Leaving negative reviews for such companies at reputable academic rating companies such as SiteJabber, Glassdoor, and Trustpilot will help warn others about your experience and give them time to consider hiring or not hiring their services. This is however, dependent on you actually mentioning the name of the company at this forum. You can leave company reviews unanimously at the 3 sites I previously mentioned. That is the only recourse you have when you have a failed chargeback claim. You may not get your money back but, you can at least ding their reputation in public.

It appears that the OP had an acceptable resolution to his case as he no longer provided any follow-up reports on what transpired during the QA investigation process. If the result had not been satisfactory, he would have been all over this board with copies of the communication between him and the company.

By the way, I do not appreciate that @tinkerman made assumptions about which company this person dealt with and how the events would unfold. His matter of fact manner did not provide any helpful information for the OP and only ruffled feathers unnecessarily. False assumptions do not help and he is lucky the company rep did not see his post and read him the riot act. We should avoid unnecessarily worrying the students and should instead, be offering helpful advice. False assunptions never helped anyone.
