Delays with oxbridgeessays.com

Unfortunately the free essay by way of apology hasn't turned up - I've e-mailed to ask what is happening but have not had a reply as yet.

After missing last Sunday's deadline, I eventually got a reply on the 6th February saying that the writer was confused about the deadline but had "assured us that that the work will be with us tomorrow morning".

The work still hasn't showed up and it is 7 days after the deadline.

Bizarrely I got a message on my answering machine at 3pm yesterday asking if the essay quality was okay; three e-mails and two phone calls have failed to elicit whether this fabled essay exists.

Now I hear "there appears to be technical glitches preventing the expert's submission getting through to us". Still no idea when / if I'll receive the essay, or why they called me on Saturday to ask if I was happy with the quality of an essay that they themselves hadn't received. I didn't think this could get any more bizarre.

They do this to all their clients whose orders they cannot fulfill, but they refuse to refund as well. They keep shopping the paper around the writer roster until they can find someone who will unwittingly become their writer pawn in the game. The con is on for both sides.

You are too kind to these people. Other clients would have been erupting like a suddenly awakened dormant volcano by now. Finally delivering a paper to you does not erase the previous incompetence. I hope that you realized that the quality of the second paper does not warrant using their services again. It would be too risky and you may not get a second chance with them. It could just be a ploy to gain your trust. They fooled you once after all.

I once declined a project from a new client who found me here because I didn't feel confident enough with the material to take it, only to get an email from some company -- that also found me here, apparently -- a day or two later asking me whether I could do the same exact project for them. I posted the exchange on this forum and contacted the client to let him know what was going on and to suggest that the client cancel the project and pursue a refund immediately.
