Elephant Essays? Urgent

I submitted an essay request yesterday to elephantessays.com. I haven't heard anything from them (no order confirmation, no response to a question I e-mailed them, and an automated response when I called their 24-hour help line), has anybody else used this site successfully or should I be worried?

Any experiences with this company? Have 2 days to write a report and don't have time..Are they reliable??

Any Elephant Essays review?

I have conducted a search regarding this company on this site, but couldn't find any concrete opinions. (3 threads came up, although someone offered to provide opinions on this company, it was not followed through)

Kindly share your experience about this site if any, I just need to know whether it is a fraud, much appreciated.

For the 10,000,000th time, reviews and/or recommendations are not allowed.

I'm brand new hear, but I can't help but notice that you provide negative reviews of certain companies without compunction, WB. Also, the number of posts you have seems to suggest that you either really enjoy arguing or are receiving some sort of compensation, direct or indirect, for your time-consuming vitriol.

I would just like to write and get paid, and this forum has some useful information. It would be even better if I didn't have to sift through your anger and hypocrisy.

*here. Yes, I'll be getting it for that one.

Pheelyks, right out of the box, you want to insult me? You're another one of the many COWARDS who makes accusations accompanied by ZERO proof. That's a sign of both weak character and insecurity. No wonder you can't find a REAL writing job and need to beg for scraps in random forums.

I've been posting here since April of 2007, buddy. Let me do some basic math for you, since you're obviously lacking in that department:

April 19, 2007 to January 20, 2009 = approximately 640 days
1992 posts / 640 days = 3.1 posts per day

Because I've made 3.1 posts per day (in an effort to stop fraud, thereby protecting both writers and consumers), you accuse me of being PAID? I'm sure that other members have similar or greater ratios. Do you care? Nope. Right out of the box, you make absurd accusations about what drives me. You don't have the slightest clue, pal. I'm secure enough--both mentally and monetarily--to not have to lower myself to writing for essay sites. My concern is, and ALWAYS has been, the protection of writers and consumers from fraudulent "companies." So, are you accusing me of lying or not providing verifiable evidence to support my claims?

hypocrisy

Care to elaborate?

I wouldn't call it cowardly to say something right off the bat, but if that's your definition, fine. Also, I've been supporting a family on my writing for a year now, so I'm not begging random scraps, just looking for a leg up.

What bothers me most about the posts of yours that I've read is that you seem to ward off comments about certain companies, but not others. Maybe your bias exists for a reason other than monetary compensation. I do not claim to know anything about you; my original post made it clear (I thought) that my conjectures stemmed only from your comments on this site.

I would be happy to engage in a professional conversation with you regarding the veracity of your claims. You have obviously been doing this for awhile and are quite passionate about it. I just wish you wouldn't take things so personally and get immediately defensive. It's counter-productive.

What the hell do you EXPECT when you make such accusations--a smile and a cookie?

Maybe a reasoned response, rather than baseless and immature sarcasm.

In addition, I didn't make any accusations--I simply pointed out the hypocrisy of your posts (i.e. reminding other users not to post reviews while condemning and endorsing other sites yourself) and the angry nature reflected in many of them. Your posts speak for themselves in both of these regards.

Elephant PaperI have conducted in-depth investigations of EVERY major company in the industry. When an investigation reveals fraudulent practices, I post the results here. So, I know exactly which companies are fraudulent and which are legitimate.

Since the RULES of this forum dictate that I may not publicize/recommend any site that my investigations have PROVEN to be legitimate, I refrain from doing so. (Yes, I know, how shocking that I actually try to abide by the T & C of the forum.)

Therefore, in keeping with the very PURPOSE of this site, I concentrate on the sites that SCAM both writers and consumers.

Are we clear now?

I simply pointed out the hypocrisy of your posts (i.e. reminding other users not to post reviews while condemning and endorsing other sites yourself)

You are clearly confused. Again, I refer you to the NAME of this site: "Essay Scam." This site was created as a vehicle for writers and consumers to warn each other about fraudulent companies. That is PRECISELY what I do. What I absolutely NEVER do is recommend that people patronize any particular site, neither publicly nor via private message.

Yes, thank you, that's very clear.

May I have access to any of your investigations that determined fraud? I understand that you cannot recommend decent sites here, but at least I could cross the bad ones off my list. Of course, given the prevalence of fraud in this industry, I would like to be able to verify your results myself.

I'm not familiar with the company so I checked what appears to be its website (the OP didn't include a link, just a company name). Based on what it shows (on a decent-looking website), if the OP didn't receive a confirmation email, the order may not have gone through for whatever reason. If their payment was deducted from their bank, then they should address the current issue. If their payment was not deducted, try resubmitting the order. Depending on when the order was placed, that may be why the OP didn't get an answer when emailing/calling. The OP also said they called "their 24-hour helpline." I don't see anywhere on the website where their call numbers are noted as 24-hours.

It sounds like the OP was desperate (running out of time given their paper was due in 2 days) and was so rushed trying to order that they didn't pay close attention. While there are a ton of companies that are "scammers" out there, some issues can be linked back to situations like this. As long as no money was taken, and given that the OP then had even less time, I'd be writing my paper versus posting in a forum. ;)

There is no "current issue" because this thread was posted and last responded to almost a decade ago. Would you mind my asking why you continue to revive all of these ancient, long-forgotten, and buried threads?

Again, if a company proves to be a failure when it comes to client service, meaning, no response to communications sent, no automated response emails, no callback when voice messages are left, the student can be sure that he is getting scammed. The payment for the essay must be stopped immediately and a new writer sourced as soon as possible. Yes, I know this is a decades old account, but who is to say that the company isn't still conning students out there? It is important to keep students informed, and reviving old threads help accomplish that task.

This company has been trying to sell its domain name for so long, it already reverted to the original company owner. There is no sense in even keeping this thread listed here except that it is a topic for some people to discuss, if they wish to. However, I believe that this is being kept active in this forum for the students to learn from and nothing more. The company was never good to begin with. The company name is not professional, is obviously 3rd world, and more than likely a scam, at least during its lifetime.
