EssayThinker.com is illegally using fake logos from Norton Verisign and TrustGuard. The secure version of the site at essaythinker.com (remove the hyphen) is invalid because it does not exist, yet the owner claims that all customer information is "protected." Yeah, right.
Who would ever knowingly use such a dishonest site? Why is it being allowed to buy ads here?

Important point. My recent research has involved examining a number of site protection seals, wildcards, SSL certificates, and so on. I was surprised by the fact that even some good companies (or websites I should say) use fake logos. The problem is finding such logos since a search engine may not be able to locate such an 'image' on a webpage.
But it's a VERY effective way to 'fool' consumers/clients as already noted by you.
I doubt students would care about such logos. The most important is to use a secure page (https) on the payment form. It's done automatically on sites like Paypal.

There's the catch. Placing fake logos gives credibility to the webpages, and when the students move on to making a payment, the transaction actually takes place via the secured https channel offered by an e-commerce gateway.
I doubt students would care about such logos.
Yes, customers
do care. Studies have clearly proven such. Plus, it's blatantly illegal to misappropriate the logos.

If students don't care, why would a website, dealing with students, want to put fake logos?
My point is - an ideal website that follows all the legal and social norms doesn't exist and will never exist. ALL websites, willingly or not, use some form of deception or misstatements to attract clients. If you think you know about a flawless website, you may post the URL and I'll prove you wrong.
Show me a legitimate, American company that steals logos from third-party, business verification organizations.
One of the logos clearly shows a past date which suggests it expired (so there's no proof it was "stolen"). Besides, maybe SSL is installed on a subdomain only.

Hi everybody.
Who knows anything about essaypenguins.com? They seem to be very popular last time. Is this a new player?
They seem to be very popular last time
Where? Since there are hundreds of thousands of similar websites managed by a few offshore / non-English entities, becoming a popular service is virtually unachievable. There may be a few (quite expensive) services that are popular, but the rest are not very well known, especially if they belong to a kolkhoz managed by individuals from unreliable countries.

Possibly someone is trying in vain to build backlinks for this company since it started in January this year and was registered for a year only. So, most probably, instead of being "very popular last time", the experiment is coming down to the ground.
The blog posts were diligently made consistently up until April the 2nd. The website template is attractive enough but the quality of the webcopy is shaky.
Bump! Looks like some money exchanged hands-- look who's advertising now! This site's web-copy is very poor, and their bragging about "24/7 customer service" as a gem amidst this trash reminds me of academia-research.com-- sure, 24/7, there are barely-paid, incompetent thieves there to answer none of your questions... they are too busy drinking vodka they purchased with the stolen writers' earnings. I will do more research into this company as I get more time, but faking web logos is another red flag, isn't it, mods?
PS-- I mean, forget vetting independently... how about using the search box on your own site?
How long, mods? Really, it's too much.

The problem is that these verified icons are available on any search engine. It is the fault of the companies that allow the images to be used by the free image directory of the search engines. They should have some sort of embedded watermark to prove the fake icon, when used on a page not related to the payment company. It is just too easy to get the icons online and paste it in a con site. There is no way the payment company can keep tabs on all the cons using their icon. They should just work on making it more difficult for them to use their icons in fake postings.
It is not clear to me when the company stopped using the Norton Verisign and Trust Guard logos on their website. All I can confirm is that they have stopped using the logos across their pages. It is more than likely that they were reported by the students that they scammed to the aforementioned integrity checker companies, who more than likely threatened the company with legal action in relation to unauthorized use of their logo. The company has since turned to using simplistic Web page presentations and more basic English vocabulary. I would not trust this company to work for me though. I mean, they faked their integrity image through the unauthorized use of those logos, there is nothing that will stop them from blackmailing a student if they feel the urge to do so.
