Can't find a review on this site so thought id ask.
papersbyphds.com/our_writers.html
Seems legit, but you never know! I need a research paper done on psychology and women studies and thought i'd try them out. Thoughts, or anyone got any reviews? news? They list there writers, but some of the bio's seem a bit far fetched if you ask me. I know I am being pessimistic, but there are so many scamming sites, you gotta be.
-Thanks for any help.
hmmmm, just had a look around their website, looks pretty flash, couldn't spot any grammatical mistakes which is always a dead giveaway of a scammy site. I agree though, you look at the profiles of the writers, then look at their prices and it just doesn't sit well does it. I'd like to know if there are any sites out there that can truly write great model papers for you, but so far I haven't had any luck. Can't help but be curious about this one though, maybe put in a small order? Also, they have live support so maybe have a chat with them and check out their English skills ;)
Took you up on what you said. I couldn't really tell anything, as he was a 'rep.'
Here is the chat though:

Carol:
Hi there
John
Hello, just have a few questions for you.
Carol:
Good. Please go ahead and i'll try to assist you.
John
Do you represent the writers, or simply QA rep for the site?
Carol:
I am just an operator for this website, however, I can forward any queries directly to the writers.
John
Ok. First question: Can you request someone in specific off of the writer list?
John
To speed things up. I will just list all my questions at once.
Carol:
OK.
John
Second Question: Why are there no samples of your writing?
Carol:
Q1: yes, you can request specific writers.
John
Third Question: Is there a price difference based on the level of paper? Ex. Masters, PhD's
Carol:
Q2: samples are available on request. I can send you samples in your subject area if you you need any.
John
Fourth Question: How long have you guys existed? It seems you guys started in 2012?
Carol:
Q3: PhD level is more expensive than masters. You can find our rates here: papersbyphds.com/prices.html
John
Fifth Question: How many references are guaranteed?
John
Sixth Question: Does it matter if it is a diss paper, essay paper, research paper, exc?
John
That is all of them. =}
Carol:
Q4: We started operating in 2011.
Carol:
I have started answering the questions as you were asking them.
John
That is all of them was for me talking in the third tense. Just informing you that I am done asking questions. =}
Carol:
OK.
Carol:
Q5: All references are guaranteed. We have some more testimonials which are not yet posted on the website.
Johnathan Stevens:
Sorry, I didn't elaborate on question five. I meant how many references for the papers, or in specific, my research paper that I will possibly be buying from you guys.
John
References = Sources. =}
Carol:
Yes, references = bibliography = sources. I got it.
Carol:
All facts are properly referenced and attributed.
Carol:
No plagiarism.
Carol:
The number of references would depend on the topic, academic level, your preferences, etc.
John
Okay. Can I give you an example then. Undergraduate. Research Paper. Psychology and Women Studies. Preferences = The more the merrier. Feel free to push that question to the writers if you want.
John
Oh, 4000 words. =}
Carol:
Actually, I can send you some sample ( s), so that you could see for yourself that your research paper will be properly referenced and written to a high academic standard.
John
Yeah, I was going to request that. I just want to know how many references I can expect for my paper when I receive it. Some writing businesses, like yourself, do like 1 reference per page bought, exc...I wasn't sure on your standard. I guess you simply leave it at the discretion of your writers? This is a research paper, not an essay paper, so the sources are an important part of what I want. =}
Carol:
You will get enough references, please don't worry about it. I will send you the samples now so that you can see we don't have any problem with references.
John
********@yahoo. Sorry
John
I assumed you knew my e-mail.
Carol:
1 sec please.
Carol:
Samples sent.
John
Okay thank you for the help.
Carol:
You're welcome. Please use this chat facility again you'll have any other questions.
Interesting, seems to grasp the English language! Did you get the samples? What were they like? Not that they couldn't just be fakes stolen from elsewhere though. Are you willing to part with 30 bucks? Set them a task to trial it out...then run it through Writecheck - see if it's plagiarised? It's really all you can do...
Let us know here if you do try them, I'm still really curious - it's a nice website!
You should know how many references your paper requires, and tell your essay provider this information. Expecting them to know this intuitively is highly unrealistic.
Does anyone have an idea about this website yet? I've been thinking of giving it a shot too.
WritersBeware
Why in the hell would anyone use use that 2-month-old, potentially fly-by-night site? Also, how in the hell did you even find it? It's always quite suspicious when a new member appears specifically to ask for "reviews" about a brand new site that has virtually ZERO online presence.
The company is now out of business. Based on the way they did their work and the history of their company, they really had no choice but to shut down. They were getting pummeled by refund demands and salary demands from the students and their writers. They were not financially prepared to run the company. They could not stay afloat when the complaints started pouring in and the refunds started flying. Eventually, the refunds stopped because the went bankrupt and there are some writers who remain unpaid to this very day.
The company has not been shut down. It actually exists online using fictitious claims made to indicate that they are truly a group of PhD writers (whose English is so atrocious they would have been kicked out of any UK academic institution) who are experts at writing some of the most complicated papers that a UK student can come by. Here is the dead give away that the company is a scam though. Their UK address? Yeah, it leads to a Chinese take-out restaurant. That is the only business located at that precise address. I hope the restaurant knows that an illegal online business is squatting on their physical address.
@noted
The address given is a suite of offices in Liverpool.
standrewsbusinesscentre.co.uk/about-us/
Excerpt from PapersbyPhDs.com website: "And this is where our company can help you. We can take some of that workload off your shoulders by providing you first-class academic help, tutoring, editing, proofreading and other educational services. Our highly skilled tutors will help you understand all the aspects of writing a high quality academic paper."
They attempt to comply with the new legislation by avoiding offering "essay writing services" which is whey they are located in England and not overseas.
The data from Maps is different then. I guess the offices found their legal loophole. Do not offer the writing services online Offer it on the sly from a legitimate office location instead. What is posted and what happens at the actual office could be 2 different things. Students will always inquire about writing services. Who are we to knowthey do not doit, in a more roundaboutway? As long as they get a legitimate UK writer right? This would bethe bestway to ensure that.
@noted
It doesn't matter if they have offices in England or the website is registered in England since the services they claim to offer do not breach the legislation.
Like you I think it is possible to circumvent the legislation which lots of smaller essay companies are doing since they can't afford to set up an offshore entity.
Regarding such English based companies it seems to me that a student could write a terrible essay of very few words and ask a company to proofread and edit it which is permitted under the law. In practice this would result in an almost complete re-write of the work but would be passed off as editing services. This seems like a massive loophole but would require a test case at some stage.
However larger reputable companies, like UKessays.com are part of Bliss Consultants FZE registered in United Arab Emirates so can carry on advertising essay writing services as English law does not apply to their operation.
@a1writer The one thing good to come out of that law is the student can actually sue a real company and hold them accountable should their deal not work out. An option they did not have before.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.
@noted
Very true! The legislation criminalises the essay writing companies not the students.
