I have received a tip that ET and its affiliated companies are filing a lawsuit in the UK against "Ben Roberts," agent of the following sites:
24houressay.co.uk
24houressay.com
essaytips.eu
madissertations.co.uk
oxfordessays.co.uk
Published addresses:
101b Killigrew Street
Falmouth
Cornwall
TR11 3PU
United Kingdom
enquires@24houressay.co.uk
26 Wood Lane
London W12 OHT

Mr. Roberts has committed serious legal offenses by simultaneously violating the Federal trademark of ET and libeling the company's name for unfair, commercial advantage. For an extended period of time, Mr. Roberts has been publishing ET's trademarked name (and that of completely unrelated EssayScam.org) in the meta tags of the "SCAM WARNING" page of 24houressay.co.uk :
meta name="keywords" content="essay writing company, essay scams, essayscam, essayscam.org, essay[]town, complaint, essay writing scam companies" /

---------------------
I've been assured that all evidence was long-ago archived and forwarded to ET's attorneys as exhibits in the pending lawsuit in UK court, so my posts here will not compromise the prosecution's case in any way. Legal action in the US District Court of New Jersey is also in process, wherein ET will surely seek injunctive relief from US search engines.
By the way, while browsing 24houressay.co.uk, I noticed that Mr. Roberts blatantly misrepresents-to the potentially substantial detriment of unwitting clients-that 24houressay.co.uk's use of Turnitin's WriteCheck paper scanner will not (and effectively will never) cause a copy of each customer's paper to be copied, reproduced, and forever stored by Turnitin.com and its parent company, iParadigms, for commercial gain. From 24houressay.co.uk :
---------------------
Writecheck is a system run by Turnitin, but it's designed specifically for students who want to check their work for originality before they submit it to their tutor. The big advantage of Turnitin Writecheck is that it doesn't store a copy of your essay, so it won't show up later if you have to scan the work through Turnitin during submission.

---------------------
As the agent of 24houressay.co.uk, this is a great marketing tactic for Mr. Roberts; the problem is that he has absolutely no authority-or legal standing-to make such a claim about the harmless, non-reproductive nature of Turnitin's proprietary WriteCheck service as it relates to his third-party essay service. In fact, Turnitin.com directly contradicts Mr. Roberts' promissory marketing ploy in the small print of the "User Agreement" for WriteCheck:
---------------------
License to Use Papers Submitted.
With regard to papers submitted to the Site, You hereby grant iParadigms a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, world-wide, irrevocable license to reproduce, transmit, display, disclose, archive and otherwise use in connection with the Services any paper You submit to the Site. Please note that papers submitted to the Site are not read or reviewed by any individuals, but rather are only analyzed using the Service.

---------------------
The User Agreement of WriteCheck is nearly identical to that of Turnitin's standard service in that it gives Turnitin utter, absolute, unfettered control of the submitter's intellectual property without giving the submitter a dime, regardless of whether or not the submitter-often a student in a hurry and/or an ESL speaker-reads or understands the "fine print" that makes Turnitin.com so very profitable for its owner. As clearly dictated by the WriteCheck contract itself, Turnitin has the legal right to use-and profit from-ANY paper submitted to WriteCheck in ANY way that Turnitin wishes, with complete disregard for the subsequent wishes of the original author (i.e., "submitter"). Turnitin did not include the "irrevocable" wording by accident.
NOTE: Turnitin (iParadigms) is overwhelmingly demanding in its contractually-dictated, legal right to unilaterally control, reproduce, and greatly profit from its customers' submissions of intellectual property, but-not surprisingly-iParadigms takes the exact opposite stance when it comes to its own copyrights and fees:
---------------------
You may not remove any proprietary notices (e.g., copyright and trademark notices) of iParadigms from the Site, Services, or Reports. All fees paid by You for the Services and Site are non-refundable.
