Has anyone used dissertations.com before? Are they legit? Is their work of PhD standard? Or I'd be better off using CustomDissertation or GraduateWriter? Thanks for all advice.
I really do not know about this company. Out of compulsion, I want to tell you that a friend of mine took a paper once from a similar sounding company, which was owned by Peter Richardson of Project1stclass. I am rather ignorant about these names. They are so similar and confusing. My friend was cheated and a sub-standard work was given to her. Unfortunately, I am not in touch with her now and cannot verify the name. I worked for Projects and was cheated out of all my earnings. I was told that I could sell those essays if I want and the company does not care. You must make sure that it is not the same outfit. Please take this seriously. Name sounds almost the same. I am sure some other members here, who is more knowledgable about these companies might be able to guide you.
Sorry to post such a disheartening comment.
dissertations.com - fraud or not?

[Moved from]: Dissertations.com, anyone dealt with this site?
Anyone dealt with this company? Please share you experience if you have.

I was wondering the same. I understand recommendations cannot be made but has anyone had any problems with them?
I assume that since there are no negative posts - that could be a good sign - maybe...

Sometimes you want people to say bad things on this site, that way by way of elimination you'll know to stay away from it, I'll probably give them an email and see what they say.
[Moved from]: Just ordered a doctoral research proposal from dissertation (plural)
Order number:Order
Word count:3000
Level:doctoral
Due date: 6/30/11
Cost:$290
I have already done most of the literature review, have all the references too.I would have felt more comfortable if they had told me who my writer was and what his/her qualifications were. But alas. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and will update you asap.
I know this is for scams, as I have been here looking for non-scams since yesterday, but the site is full of people just offering their experience 'in process'! Customer service? What kind of customer service did you think I have asked for?

And you seem to be a woman with apparently no sense.
It's easy to practise some faceless bullying, isn't it? Doesn't work with me, so, MeoKhan, have a lovely day.

Nothing like that. You should take note of what others have stated above and respect the limits of this forum. Simple.
No worries, I just posted to help people out with my experience, whatever the outcome, but seeing the warm welcome, I have already asked for my profile to be removed.
Won't use this site ever again, you guys seem to have anger issues, and I don't want to be part of this.
So, so long.

No, we have problem with people who don't give a crap about the forum's guidelines.
We will certainly mourn your loss.
The domain doesn't even exist. It says domain for sale
It's Dissertations plural.
Hailey56, it's years since your post, but I'm wondering whether you followed up with dissertations.com
The company has a physical address and I have spoken with the operator (all good), but they are horrible with email.
dissertations.com
I do not have experience with this website but they have only been in business for one year and to me that is not enough to guarantee enough evidence of quality.
Also there are some grammatical errors if you notice the sentence structure in the website. I wouldn't trust them but you can give them a try it will be hit and luck type of situation.
dissertations.com
I am not sure you can trust this service to write your dissertation:
"and help in dissertation topic selection"
"Talking to a highly experienced dissertation consultant can improve results significantly"
You must have the wrong company because dissertations.com has been in business for decades. It is located in New Jersey.

The "Internet" says otherwise. The domain was registered on 1997-10-06. The first record of a Web site hosted on that domain is from
December 5, 1998. I can find nothing on their Web site that substantiates their claims of being in business for "over 42 years." The New Jersey Business Records Service [njportal.com/DOR/businessrecords/Maintenance.aspx] is currently undergoing maintenance, so I am unable to research their corporate records at this time.
That specific domain may have been registered in 1997, but the group could have been in business long before that, maybe using a different domain, or otherwise.
Where's the company's proof? Funny, I don't see it anywhere on their site. Did you not read my previous post carefully?
I wrote some positive things such as a physical address for this service. Well, it turns out the address is a box rental store at a strip plaza. They left real office space some time ago. My emails have been ignored for about 6 months including an offer of $50 just to respond to me. I really thought I found a live one but something's up with this NJ Website and it can't be good.
Dissertations.com seems to have gone radio silent since the last post. They no longer have any reviews available for their company. There are not even any references ot previous work for them. I am guessing that this is another retired url from a third rate company. They tend to retire their url when they fail to meet client requirements, resulting in a barrage of chargebacks. They file for bankruptcy and pretend to shut down by disabling the name of the url, but not the company itself. They may still be existing under another name.
The company has been reincarnated under the same name, but a different purpose at present. A quick search of this domain name returned a link for a dissertation repository site where they claim to have millions of published and unpublished dissertations on file, ready for (paid) referencing of masters and PhD students. I would not give much stock to their current claims. They are being too boastful regarding the support they receive from questionable companies. I mean, legitimate and authoritative companies will never associate with questionable dissertation repositories. It does not work that way. These are kept in published journals or in the university libraries under hard or electronic copy formats for the reference of students.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.
In general, companies with these kinds of urls obviously hope that prospective customers will assume that the company's writers are all better educated than writers at other companies. When I first started writing for essay companies back in 2003, the main company for which I did the most work maintained numerous websites, all of which seemed, to customers, to be completely different companies. Gradually, I realized (from project materials sent by customers that included their completed order forms identifying the websites from which they'd placed the orders) that I was actually writing for many different websites that were all owned and operated by a single entity. One of those websites used a url that was very similar to the one being discussed in this thread. The only differences between that website and their other websites were: (1) The price was higher; and (2) The TOS said that the project would never be resold, whereas the TOS of all of their other sites said that projects wouldn't be resold for 3-6 months. However, the most important element was that regardless of which customer-facing website generated the order, they all were simply posted on the same project board, where they were all equally available to be taken by any and all writers employed by the parent company, including orders generated from the website whose url implied that its writers were more advanced than those writing for all of its other websites.
