Warning: Dissertation India is fraudulent

I had a bad experience with this company " Dissertation India". I was in urgent need to publish a paper in electrical engineering as a part of my MSc thesis. I can write the paper but I decided to hire a professional one for two reasons:

1- Time restriction: I have no time to write the paper + I need it in one month duration.

2- It is my first time to publish a paper

I have contacted two companies, after surfing the net searching for a writing service company, one of them requested so many information which I'm not familiar with, the other one is Dissertation India. They told me they can do the work in 20 days and we agreed to make the payment in two placements.

After placing the order and paying the first payment, they sent me a link to follow some instruction, and so I did.

After 16 days, I sent them en email to check the status of the work, but I got no replay from the one who I was contacting, let's say his name is 'x'. Two days after I got an email from another person from the same company apologizing that "x" person is so sick and can't contact me, I understand and ask the new guy about the progress of the work. He told me I didn't place the order officially and I didn't follow their instructions. I referred to the previous emails with "x", copy the confirmation of starting the work which 'x' has already confirmed.

After this and that, and many emails, I requested them to return the money back because time is up and I'm no more in need for this paper, but the refused and never answered any further emails.

Till today I didn't receive any work , or any paper from them. I've contacted my bank to return the money if they can.

I will never ask any of you to boycott this company specifically or any alike companies, but please be careful when dealing with any website or company providing (or clam to provide) such a service like writing or editing papers.

Hope all of you stay away from fraud and cheating websites.

Well, this is definitely a hard lesson learned. I am sad that you did not discover our very helpful forum before you decided to deal with a specific essay writing company. Any company that comes out India is more than likely to be a fraudulent one. Even if they did deliver the paper, you would have found that the paper was not worth the money you paid for it, much less worth using. That said, how successful were you with the refund request? Majority of those companies decline to refund the money once a request is made or a dispute is started. I hope that will not be the case with you. While I appreciate you not advocating that users boycott the company, I know that you are saying that tongue-in-cheek. Thank you for sharing your cautionary tale with us though. I am sure it will come in handy for some student who might have come across the company site and is currently in the process of hiring the company services.

It is extremely difficult for students in need of dissertations to find a reliable company. Very few of these writing companies actually have writers who can complete a proper dissertation. I am not saying that you did not get a good writer from the company. He may have been able to deliver an excellent job had the circumstances been different. I have to say though that it was not the writer who conned you out of your payment but rather the company itself. The person who spoke to you was probably one of the "fake writers" that the company uses to prevent charge back procedures. Since you did not pay through an online payment system like Paypal or Payoneer, it was almost sure that they were never going to refund you. The lesson here? Never pay by direct deposit. Always used a conduit so that you, as the paying student, will have an avenue to air your grievance in and have a chance to get a refund.
