It's about the same, I guess. But not sure about posting trade address on the website (I'm sure it's possible to post a PO box as a trade address).

Writing Service LocationThe IP location of a company does not necessarily reflect the actual location of the company one plans on dealing with.

The IP location only indicates that the company server may be found in that country. However, all the other information such as the physical address of the company could be fictitious. Bought off the internet for a few hundred dollars. The location could, in some instances be in the middle of some lake or lead to a swing in the middle of a children's park.

There is no definite, reliable, and accurate way of determining the physical location of a company based simply on the IP address. Except of course, if you actually go and try to find out where the address is located. In which case you are in for a big expense and an even bigger response.

You could end up in the middle of the Everglades in Florida based on the information attached to a given IP address regarding its actual location.

True. I'm in NYC, which is what my IP displays; but my website IP shows Toronto, because that's, apparently, where the company that hosts my site is located.

Unless you are willing to hire a private investigator to look into the electronic data of a company, then trace it to an actual location, I really don't see the point of finding out this information. The IP address of a company always "pings" all over the globe so trying to ascertain a location for no reason doesn't really do anything for a student. You just have to take the company's word for it when it comes to their location. It doesn't make a difference anyway, their location does not reflect the quality of their work. If the writer you are assigned to is excellent, then where the company is located doesn't matter, does it? Exactly. It's all about the quality of the work, not the location of the IP address.

IP tracing is no longer as easy at it was before. An IP trace these days results in so much redacted information, the reader would have no use for the returned information. Those information, the ones vital to the search, are now hidden behind a paywall. So, if you are a student who just wants to verify the location of a writing company, you are out of luck. No student would be willing to pay to get the information that they need about the writing company or writer. Not at the costs these IP tracking websites are charging.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

Well, I have found that getting a physical address for the company, even if it is a PO box address can be the best way of tracing the location of the company. They often publish their locations on their pages, which can easily be verified by a simple Maps direction request. If it leads to nowhere, which some company addresses do, then you know the company is a scam. My classmate once looked up a company address that came back as the location for a mom and pop restaurant a few miles from where my friend lived.
