You Deserve To Be Scammed

Perry Gamsby  2 | 62

I think you all deserve to be ripped off and scammed. Two wrongs never make a right. It is unethical, even if not illegal, to have someone else write your essay for you. Period. Tell me what part of that statement is defensible in favour of paying money to someone else to do something YOU are being examined and graded on?

I accept that if you take the custom essay and rewrite it in your own words then one could argue it is the same as using any other reference material or model exam question. So how many of you whiners do that?

Those who think they will take the easy way out and have the money to pay for someone else to write their essays are weak and pathetic. You do not deserve your degrees. What if you kill someone later on because of gaps in your knowledge caused because you didn't do the study required?

I don't ever hide behind an alias. I am who I say I am and you can Google me or just go - perrygamsby.net - straight to my web site. I earn my living through my writing and teaching. I believe legitimate writing contractors are a valuable part of the education industry but only if the student takes the custom essay and then rewrites it in their own words. But too many of you have no discipline or organizational ability and spend too much time wasting your college years doing anything but what you are there for. The lucky few who have the money can buy their way through but pity the poor who need to rely on talent and hard work alone. I guess it has always been so but that doesn't make it right. What do you say?

I certainly understand where you are coming from Perry. Ethical or unethical, people make their own choices. I just worry about myself.

On a side note, are you an American living in the Phillipines? What is it like over there if you are a migrant to the island?

First of all I am not an American, I am Australian. I left the Philippines a few years ago for the sake of my kids and their future. The purpose is not to promote my web site, of which that is just one of many, rather it is to say 'this is the real me, I exist and I stand behind my post and my opinions.'

Having said that, I purposely laid it on to get a response, to get the debate going because I can see both sides of the coin. I agree on one level that it is not the writer's problem, you are just providing a service. Like a prostitute, executioner, employee of the IRS, lawyer etc. The onus rests on the user of the service and this is why I find it pathetic that they moan when they get clipped.

I have no problem with sites like Degree Essays who have a physical address in Nottingham UK you can visit and speak to real people. It is the Best Essays in the Ukraine I find fault with as far as how they rip off writers. I am sure there are more out there.

I was also plagiarized by Jessica Simpson (not the celebrity) on one of my submissions during my MA(Writing). She got a slap on the wrist for copying swathes of my text verbatim. That irked me no end, I thought twenty lashes would have been more appropriate but apparently those days are long gone ;o)

So, who is right and who is wrong? Wrong to offer the service? Wrong to use it? Wrong to pass off the 'custom essay' as one's own work?

Nice. Are you Pinoy originally or are you married to a pinay?

And to answer your question, right and wrong are incredibly subjective.
I do not think its wrong to provide people with a structure/sample of an essay to help them create their own essay. I do think its wrong if I'm strictly trying to create work for them to claim as their own.

In the same token, going by Academic Dishonesty policies, it is certainly wrong for students to purchase essays and submit them as their own.

I think the ball lies more in the court of the user when it comes to who is wrong though. Seeing that they are seeking out such services, requesting to purchase a service, and passing off a writing in their own puts them on the wrong end.

But as I said before, this is IMO. It gets way too philosophical lol

take the easy way out

Ironic. Seeing as you married a pinoy.

Whats the matter? Couldn't get an Australian gal? Maybe if you didn't 'take the easy way out' and actually did ANY form of self maintenance (like exercise), you wouldn't have to go to a country where women literally throw themselves at disgusting white men like you, in exchange for a more attractive lifestyle.

Trying to reassert your MASTERS, doesn't show how 'successful' you are, it just shows how insecure you are. "Look at me! I have a website in my name! Look at me! You can search me on google!" Oh please. Grow up.

People don't reveal their identities here because theres probably a higher chance of them being discovered than you.

Yes, tough to swallow. I couldn't say the same for your wife though.

Low blow?
How about you try not imposing your past 'achievements' from such a ****** up university and beating on others for making a decision for whatever reason, regardless of its 'legitimacy'. It's their choice. And you don't beat people up for their choices right? Stop judging when you don't know the plight people might have landed in NOT BY CHOICE, but by tragedy maybe? Ever thought of that?

Anyway, can't be bothered to go on bashing on someone who's already.. in your position.

Just didn't want this to slide and let you rip on people just to make yourself feel more secure.

Go write your ebooks you fat ****.

Gee, and you say I'm insecure. Your rant tells me far more about you than anything you have said about me. It fails to address the topic, fails to rebut any of the statements I made and it weakens any credibility anyone using an alias could hope for. Apart from that you fall into the common trap of stereotyping people based on your own prejudices and values. Anyway, you have had your say and no doubt felt, if only a momentary thrill as you hit 'send', that somehow you might not be the loser you fear you are. If you were obtaining custom essays and intending to pass them off as your own then I fully understand the need to hide your identity. As for 'fat', it is an adjective, not an offence. When you reach my age and have lived my life, come and talk to me. Until then, you are dismissed. That should twist your Wa nicely. A dash of arrogance does wonders, don't you think?

The fact that you expect me to take any interest in knowing anything further than that piece of crap you call a introduction of yourself, is idiotic.

Haha nono, no thrill as to pressing send. I'm not the old sack who gets a kick out of bashing people on the net. I just found it appropriate to give you a reality check. Oh yes, fat is an adjective, so what's your point? Doesn't change the fact that you are severely obese.

Haha I don't really want to live your life. You look like a failure who's proud of getting d's and hd's from a half assed uni. Get a life you old man. Wait, this is your life.

Haha as for a response to my earlier post, you can't refute any of it because you know it's true.

And as for arrogance, i couldn't agree more.

Failure. What were you in the army? An airbag? Geez.

Perry,

His name is Daniel of Seattle,WA. He is active in the stageplay scene and does a lot of community work.

I stumbled upon some pictures here fbbg.u.cc

Saw them and actually pitied the guy.

Pheelyks,

Say whatever you would like bro. Whatever makes you feel happy. After seeing all that, I actually feel bad for you.

Good luck in your future stageplays and community work

Perry,

This man's poor attitude makes a lot more sense now. I'd just ignore him :).

By the way, Pheelyks has also directed at least one stage comedy in Seattle. That is pretty cool if you ask me.

Unusual to see someone that seems so liberal in real life, so full of anger.

Just to show that he is actually a nice and well rounded guy who engages with his community and does various forms of writing for a living. Basically things that are NOT characteristic of an a7shole. And that his alter-ego that he puts up on this forum is certainly not his true attitude.

In the same token, his alter ego is also indicative of someone who is unhappy or disappointed with life. And in that, I find pity.

After seeing your investigative skills, I feel sorry for you. Anyone with two minutes and the ability to google can find what you found. I don't try to hide my identity, because I have nothing to hide. Would you care to post your real name and some high school pictures up here, or are you just a punk b**-h with balls that match your level of English proficiency?

We've established that you registered a website from an American address, but that's all. Your real name makes it very likely that you're an immigrant, so even if you do live in the US English could still be your second language. I highly doubt English is your parents' first language, certainly, and my guess would be you don't speak it at home/with family.

If you will stop pretending you're the Columbo of the Internet, I will do you the courtesy of not using your address and phone number in a series of Craigslist pranks.

Strong prejudice my racist friend

What I said was neither prejudiced nor racist. Your name--both your first name and your last name--is indicative of having been born into a cultural community that has its roots in a predominantly Arabic and/or Islamic country. Given that you were speaking Urdu on this forum in another thread, this isn't really much of a stretch. Descendants of immigrants to any country tend to assimilate as generations go by. Your last name might still be R****n, but if you were a third or fourth generation American your first name would much more likely be Steve. If I felt like looking you up any further, I could probably find out when your parents or grandparents got their citizenship, if that ever happened.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with any of this this, but I am saying that just because you might live in a sad looking apartment complex in Renton does not mean you have native English speaking and writing abilities.

All that address information and number information is available online.

That's kind of my point. You keep "revealing" things about me that are freely available online as if it means something. It doesn't. If I wanted to hide who I was, I would do a much better job of it than using a nickname I've carried for the past 13 years, and that has been associated with my real name in online and print sources for much of that time. You could do much better than registering your website to your home address, using your own phone number as the contact.

Of course, I now have that information should anyone ever become interested after you become a little more anonymous.

Its the only thing I speak fluently

Funny, 'cause you don't.

Anyways brah, truly, good luck in your endeavours.

And that entire paragraph explaining your logic in determining me being an immigrant is a strawmen argument. You are still incredibly prejudice with your blanket generalizations about people like myself.

Your arguments consist of
-you're dumb
-you're an immigrant
-you live in a crappy poor apt
-I make more money from this than you
-and once again,you're dumb

Cannot believe that I share my city with such "professionals" who are in fact prejudice towards ethnic minorities and immature.

Anyways, keep trolling my threads. You're awesome at it. Will have a review written on here by a customer from this site shortly to clear things up.

Lol@ a grown adult threatening me with spreading my address and phone number to random pranksters.

You have absolutely no depth, do you? While tempting, this is not the kind of thing I would probably do. You keep gloating about the fact that you can name the larger metropolitan area I might live in, whereas I could have pizza delivered to you in the next 30 minutes (I won't, so don't ask). You're missing the larger point: this is easy, nothing to be proud of, and you're not even as good at it as you think you are.

And that entire paragraph explaining your logic in determining me being an immigrant is a strawmen argument.

No, it isn't. I never said, "your English sucks because you might be an immigrant." I said, "Your English sucks, as we can see from your posts, and maybe the fact that your English sucks is explained by the fact that it's not your first/familial language."

Have you heard of google? You can find out what a straw man argument really is pretty quickly--even quicker than I found out how many visits a day your site gets.

Essaybrah, you really shouldn't lie about your address on your website registration. Someone could report that as fraud, and then buy that domain right from under you. You didn't even finish trying to hide your contact info--you call yourself a website and SEO specialist? You don't have the first clue when it comes to building a website, clearly...

There's a pattern here, really. Essaybrah gets paid above minimum wage to do some tasks at a mediocre (at best) level, so he think h's really good at them, so he tries to convince more people to part with their money to pay for these mediocre (at best) services.
