EssayScamAlert / Oxbridge Expert "borrows" content from EssayScam.org

"Borrowing" content from other companies seems to be a disturbing pattern that Ms. Melissa has adopted. In fact, she is on public record as having paid a third party to "clone" (i.e., steal) the design and functionality of masterpapers.com for her own site, classaessays.com. Proof:

EssayScamAlert.com

classaessays

classaessays.com

Now, Ms. Melissa (and/or her partner) has apparently stolen content and design elements from EssayScam.org as the basis for directly competing against EssayScam.org. Proof:

essayscamalert.com

Public records indicate that Melissa owns (i.e., "registered") at least the following sites:

academicaeducation.com
academicawriters.com
classaessays.com
essayscamalert.com

Checked out the sites you listed WB and, guess what?! Academicaeducation.com is "borrowed" from Academic Answers. Someone should take some screenshots and send them to Jennifer.

I was already working on that, actually. The following screen capture evidences a third act of intellectual property theft (and misappropriation of the name and image of "Academic Answers Ltd.") by Melissa:

Academic Answers Ltd

As one can see, Ms. "borrowed" content from "Academic Answers Ltd." Her apparent disregard for competitors' intellectual property and unfair competition laws is unsettling.

priorityadmissionhelp.com

check it out, espcially the e-book with the admission essay samples; `borrowed' from admissionsessays.com

mywriteteam.com

borrowed from articlesandbeyond.com
mywriteteam.com/services.php to articlesandbeyond.com/Services.html

Appears to be quite fond of `borrowing' :) Yes, students will definitely receive original, plagiarism-free, work from this company (tongue-in-cheek)

WB, it appears that you are amongst those she borrowed from. Take a look at the screenshot images from the Collingwood Enterprise Bulletin (the first is a Yuri/Best Essays marketing article and the second is Priority Essays' comment):

To those who don't know, Priority Essay's commentary is a copy of posts WB made here on essayscam :) I cannot get a hang of this image uploading function. Made the images too small :( WB, you take over.

I can't believe she's done this :-( She's left in links to our site, including our email address. Sort of funny because it's so blatent and then bad at the same time as we're being associated with her 'company'.

I'm taking a complete cache of the site and I've emailed her to ask her to remove it - I'm going to look at what else we can do under the DMCA though.

I found out about this from someone called xxxx, who emailed me today. They sent me a mail before about some dispute they had going on with Melissa, who they claimed was pretending to be Oxbridge Writers (one of our websites). Melissa replied with a chat log of them both talking about hacking our website/database. Anyone heard of these two? I gather from her mails that Melissa's not a big fan of yours WB!

I told you earlier that I am a programmer.

If you stick to programming, you are more than welcome and I no longer have any problem with you.

Fracturegang, please try to understand our point of view. I, for example, know very little about professional programming or graphic design. Were I, and countless others, to invade your industry and offer our services as professional freelance programmers, we would be harming the rest of you - the real professionals. Your industry will end up with a horrid reputation and you, as all freelance programers, would be regarded as scammers, etc. This is precisely what is happening to our industry - the professional writing one. That is why we get so angry.

We have the same problem with many of the companies in our industry. Look at the example which WB uncovered and exposed here. A person who claims to provide students with plagiarism-free work has plagiarised entire webcopies from other sites. The consequences are

1) customer confusion: when a website owner spouts the name Academic Answers on his/her website, customers will assume that it is part of the AA group

2) webcopies cost money, time and effort. What gives any the right to steal that?
The list goes on and on and the end result is that the industry gets a bad reputation.

I hope you can now appreciate the reason why people like Melissa, Yuri, Alexei, Eugene and Co. make us so angry and why poor quality writers (nationality is not the issue) bring out our aggressive side.

Well said, my friend.

I wasn't born to English speaking parents. I had to go through a lot of correction before I gained the skills that allow me to compete and earn a living in this industry. I will never claim to be a programmer. Some ESLs take for granted that "writing in proper English" is a skill, much like programming is. If you can't write, you have two choices; learn how to write properly or don't write for a living.

"Borrowing" content from other companies seems to be a disturbing pattern that Ms. Melissa has adopted.

Is this Melissa character simply stupid or is she arrogant? Now, this is criminal!

Would like to add to my earlier post that I don't know if the chat log 'Melissa' sent me was real or fabricated. It could well have been fabricated! I apologise if I have made it look like I was confirming that xxxx [name removed, see TOS] did in fact try to hack our website, as this wasn't intended.

Sure, here we go (below). I have replaced the name with [+++++] as I noticed the forum moderator did this to one of my earlier posts. As I said, I don't know if it's forged or real. Melissa says it's real and claims she has loads of other evidence too (text messages, screen shots). Apparently it was a Skype transcript. She said "I have more evidence of the aforementioned, and the 'hackers' resume stating his IT skills. He is Pakistani."

[4/05/2009 8:37:08 PM] [+++++] says: maybe we should search for a hacker!
[4/05/2009 8:37:34 PM] Mel says: Haha!

[4/05/2009 8:50:06 PM] Mel says: Or are we hiring the two IT staff fulltime?
[4/05/2009 8:51:26 PM] [+++++] says: we will have them do the websites first and then we hire them. what do you think?
[4/05/2009 8:55:48 PM] Mel says: yes that is a good idea.
[4/05/2009 8:55:56 PM] Mel says: tell Krish this.
[4/05/2009 9:00:52 PM] Mel says: Do you believe ukessays.com admin would be good?

[4/05/2009 9:03:11 PM] [+++++] says: exactly -
[4/05/2009 9:03:35 PM] [+++++] says: mel, i want to hack in - customer lists will be out of this world
[4/05/2009 9:13:27 PM] [+++++] says: mel, i'm harrasing the guy now - leaving him sms messages, emails, telephoning him ... he's travel;ling and will be back in a couple of days but want to create sense of tremendous, life-threatening urgency

[4/05/2009 9:13:59 PM] Mel says: haha hilarious. I hope he gets the point :)
[4/05/2009 9:15:46 PM] [+++++] says: great!
[4/05/2009 9:16:11 PM] [+++++] says: tell him we'll pay for it - alot
[4/05/2009 9:16:37 PM] [+++++] says: i'll go up to 5000 USD

Hi all,

It good to be back after a while.

Regarding the above post, it clearly mentions that these people are very dangerous. This is certain. What I do fail to understand is - how can anyone, just ANYONE Hack into someone's site or account. I do not understand programming and stuff very well, but I do know that this shouldn't and cannot be done.

This lady appears to be much more dangerous than I been told. Imagine hacking into sites for secret info!!

Take a look at all her websites, it appears that Melissa has "borrowed" from every single website in the business.

Melissa says it's real and claims she has loads of other evidence too

She lacks credibility. Blantant theft from how many established companies? Academic Answers, Masterpapers and many more :) Would not put lying and forging past her. If you read WB's screenshots, and access the OD desk, you will find that her programmer is an Indian named Krishore. Probably him.

Earlier posts show that another member here had accused her of giving someone access to the backends of the sites and `borrowing' the programme :)

Yes, she is credible :)

Hi WRT - Borrowed as in Plagiarized?

The above transcript reveals a very serious crime which she and her friend seem to be contemplating. This should be dealt with very very strongly!!

I mean come to think of it........ This forum shreds to pieces term paper mills which are not owned by English speaking owners or based in English speaking Countries. This is FAR MORE SERIOUS.

This is REAL CRIME.

Borrowed as in Plagiarized?

Look at the evidence WB posted. Every one of the sites are copied off established websites. In academicaeducation, she claims to be part of the Academic Answers group. She is either lying and plagiarising or Jennifer is concealing the fact that Melissa has purchased Academic Answers and is now their boss :)

As WB says, all of this points to a disturbing pattern of dishonesty.

Question is: does she get away with stealing copyrighted webcopies? Does she get away with her disregard for the law?

Masterpapers may not do anything about the theft from their sites because they have too much to conceal and wouldn't want to draw attentin to themselves. What about Academic Answers and the others? Will they take it lying down? As their webcopies are still displayed on her sites, it looks like they won't do anything about it either or cannot.

Strange, strange world we live in.

Kudos to WB for exposing this.

So, to date, it seems that she does not give a fig about essayscam or masterpapers and is determined to continue `borrowing' if not both caught and threatened. Hi all,

Melissa here. All my websites have been in design mode. I never stole web content. I have no idea how these individuals are finding out about my new domains (although security experts now have some evidence with an issue with FTP users.. ;) As soon as I purchase a new one, and a new design is up, these individuals know about it. It is laughable.

The hackers have been taking screen shots of my websites before the web copy is written.
No websites are in working mode or have been launched lol.
Pathetic. Give up. I will succeed and you are terribly afraid of it.

The reason why WRT is coming after me, is because I worked this person, never got paid properly, opened my own website, then this person found out about it because- they hacked my email accounts (the Australian Federal Police have been notified and are on alert) I have the proof. Did you want me to post it here?

Anyways, she became jealous and has been threatening me ever since.

Looks like the man upstairs really does like me now ;)

Bye everyone.

Watch out people! When you access a live website, that's hacking :)

The reason why WRT is coming after me, is because I worked this person,

WTF!

Here's the story: The websites exposed here were, at the time of access, live and readily accessible. They contained `borrowed' content (word for word) from established companies. Instead of apologising for her actions, this person holds us, here, responsible. We hacked into her websites because we are `jealous,' `pathetic,' `do not have a life' and are `afraid' of her `success.' Very reasonable.

WB, I don't know much about this but is it standard practice to include other people's webcopy in your site's design? How about designing live? Is that standard? I assumed that websites which were under construction clearly stated UNDER CONSTRUCTION, COMING SOON, etc.

All my websites have been in design mode

What part of "Design Mode" means stealing content? I was unaware that we are now calling blatant plagiarism "design mode"? We already know that writing original content is something you are not really into and you have proven your own guilt by taking all of your sites down. The screen shots and information presented here are an open and shut case against you. Also, you have fraudulently created your Jennifer account to try a paint a pretty face on your Melissa scam. Why would you need to do that if you are such an ethical person running a legitimate writing service? I am not buying it, if you were legitimate about your writing services your sites would still be up and running and there would not be so much evidence against you.

In my opinion you are proof to all of us that a scam is a scam no matter what country the scam is from. If you can not create original content for your websites then I sure that any customers who make the mistake of using your hack service will get the same copy & pasted quality? Just because you are Australian does not make your fraud any more ethical than if you were in Pakistan, India or anywhere else in the world. You are a fraud and all of the "Hackers" as you call them will continue to draw attention to you and your actions. My advice to you is don't make yourself a target by running an unethical business that steals from others... CHEERS

Hey, Melissa, here's a newsflash: whatever you do online leaves a trail of crumbs, and I'm a vacuum. I can track your every move via simple, public, resoundingly legal tools that are available to everyone.

Everything that you've stated is "laughable." You're either painfully stupid or lying through your teeth. Bottom line-I have archived copies of ALL of your thefts (most of them are archives of Google's dated archives, which leaves you absolutely no legal wiggle room), and I obtained every one of them through Google searches and other public tools.

Read the commentary (image) and WB's post, made over a year ago here:essayscam.org/forum/es/masterpapers-llc-masterpapers-com-academia-res earch-com-fake-address-627/ - MasterPapers LLC (MasterPapers.com & Academia-Research.com) - Fake Address

Also, Australia has a real legal system

Not just Australia, American Writer, she is liable in whatever country the company she stole was is registered and, of course, the United States.
But take a look at this:

security experts now have some evidence with an issue with FTP users.. ;)

She is insinuating that someone else uploaded the content to all her websites.

The hackers have been taking screen shots of my websites before the web copy is written.

All of us here who accessed her sites (live on the internet) are hackers.

I never stole web content.

She is above the law

All my websites have been in design mode. I never stole web content.

She is on public record as 1) asking programmers to `clone' masterpapers; 2) telling programmers: "I need the same quality similar designand layoutof the website mentioned above. Also most importantly I will need all the same programming." The website is templatemonster. This Melissa character recognises the rights of no one; everything is open to `borrowing.'

The reason why WRT is coming after me, is because I worked this person, never got paid properly, opened my own website, then this person found out about it because- they hacked my email accounts

Don't know her from Adam but, it seems that I found out about her live websites because I hacked into her email account.

Anyways, she became jealous and has been threatening me ever since.

She is not a thief; she has not stolen and has never stolen web content; everything you see here is the by-product of my jealousy.

She says that her websites are not active, yet, her PR articles tell another story; her tweets tell a whole different story. And, guess what? Her PR articles claim that she has been in business for 10 years (lie) and go on to denounce most all in this industry as scammers! Yes, she is the only honest one amongst us; the only credible one.

Take a look at the OxbridgeExpert posts, a poster who has been identified as Melissa.

This woman is a sociopath. She breaks the law, insists that she has done nothing wrong and goes on to blame everybody else. We are the hackers; we are jealous; we are fearful of her success (what success? Am I missing something); we are envious of her youth ... It is more than obvious that she has not an original thought in her head, or creative bone in her body; she is jealous of the success which others have achieved and as she believes herself better than all put together, she is determined to claim their success as her own; to appropriate their work!

She really believes herself above the law and way better than the whole bunch of us put together. Why she should believe that when all her content, including blog and promo article content, is beyond the comprehension of any sensible person.

In all cases, she is in a world of legal trouble. A pattern and habit have been established and none who have been victimised by her will trust her to own up to her `mistake' or keep to the straight and narrow. They are going after her. She can remove the content, password-protect it, etc., but what is done is done. Crimes cannot be `undone' and the evidence cannot be eradicated.

Read her OxbridgeExpert posts, American Writer, as they offer a tremendous insight into the workings of this character's mind.

Whenever this thread gets pushed up in ranking, Jennifer199, signs in as OxbridgeExpert and has a manic fit on the "English" thread.
