Threatened with being reported to my school, and I did not write anything from them in my original assignment.

Reported to schoolA few months ago, I hired a company located in the UK to help me with some assignments. The price was reasonable, but the quality of the work was not good, thats why I wanted to refund my money.

The thing is, I (idiotically) never deleted the name of my school from the papers I sent them, so they know where I study.

They did not refund my money, even by threatening that I have to give more money, and still they are threatening that they will directly send it to my school. School is not UK-based but in the EU.

They are really scams, and they have recently created two email domains and are sending me threats that they will directly report to my school and that they will tell my school about my academic dishonesty.

The most important thing is that I did not use any of the words. In this case, what can be the consequence?

Basically, I'm being blackmailed and extorted, and for days and days now, I've been thinking about all the negative consequences this may result in.

Has anyone ever been in a situation like this? Do you have any ideas of what I could do?

Asking for a full refund may trigger negative emotions. You paid little money for a so-so product, so the company thought you still got a good deal. That's how it works in life too; you cannot expect a Lexus quality if you buy a Dodge. Did you ask for a full refund or were open to accept a partial refund or a free revision?

If you didn't use the work at all, you don't have much to worry about. If they are not stupid and you did not dispute the charge (it might escalate their threats if you do), my advice is to ignore them.

It's important to acknowledge that these companies have employees who deserve compensation for their work. Therefore, they have a vested interest in ensuring customer satisfaction. If you feel that the quality of the paper is not up to standard, it's perfectly acceptable to request a revision to ensure it meets your expectations. However, if you are still unsatisfied and feel that a refund is warranted, you should communicate this to the company. Ultimately, if you did not use their paper at all, there's no need to panic. Simply inform them that you did not utilize their services and request a refund accordingly.

@Dissertation07 @formerstudent
Thankyou very much Disertation07 and formarstudent. Yes I did not use any of their words in my paper, but they got my professor's information, and they said we will contact your professor. I was so afraid, and then I paid again not to inform my professor (this was my great mistake). Now they are threatening me from another email address. I have already paid, and I have committed academic misconduct. So they are threatening me with another two emails (these two email domains they created very recently), which they will send directly to my university.

They did not refund my money, and even though they took it five times than ( not for verification with my college), I paid for the entire work. Still, they are threatening me from other newly created email domains. They are fully scammed.

Even if they know where you go to school, you can rest easy knowing that they cannot act on their threat to expose you to your school. That is because the school will not give any weight to the reports of a non-student or faculty member. You have to remember that academic honesty is something valued by the school, but the evidence of violating it must come from within the ranks of the school and not for an anonymous report. There is no way they can harm you. The academic authorities know better.

If you didn't actually submit anything they provided for academic credit, there's nothing for which you could possibly be disciplined, even if they managed to reach your professor.
