Solidsnake (what an awful name!), First of all I don't have a company. Yes, I gave spark some name, because I know many names, and I was asked by Spark. You can question me only if I advertise the name here and ask all the members to send the orders. She/he asked me a question and I answered. What I do personally away from this forum is my own business.

I am not certain that I agree with that harsh word. There are many groups who write quietly with a sense of responsibility. Sometimes there is an urge to write and it is difficult to find an outlet. At the same time, as Lavinia has said, it is a source of income, especially for people like me, who are looking for research fees. I do not have the ability to start and run a company on my own.

Also I know now that most of the flashy companies in this trade are not as genuine as they say. If you read some of the evidences provided by WritersBeware you will know this fact. Some unknown companies, who might not like to get known beyond a certain limit, could be very helpful. They remain so, because they could be a bit ashamed of writing student essays and are doing it due to circumstances. There could be part time tutors, who need a second income and I know many of them. There are doctorates who cannot get a placement immediately. All of them are sincere. They do not want this to be a life time job.

It involves monitoring, discussing, marketing, corresponding, making money available for all functions, paying the writers, quality assessment and attending to minute details.

I occassionally market for a group of four research writers who are in different cities of the UK and even in such a small outfit, many problems cropped up, till they found a friend in Scotland to manage the financial matters. But it is not a real company.

There is a lot of work combined with multiple responsibilities.

It is difficult, outlandish. Without knowing one another and not knowing who or how it should be controlled, it is almost impossible. We are all in different continents and although the idea is fascinating, it is not pragmatic.

I cannot help wondering about their getting my email. I had not applied. They addressed their letter to the email through which I was working for Masterpapers! This particular email was used exclusively for that work. Perhaps the companies are interconnected!

There is hardly any writer who is not a victim of this company and its owner, that international criminal, Peter Richardson. Some of the victims have moved on and I am not in touch with them any more. It is surprising how this man happily functions even after plenty of negative publicity.

Kitty, We are all tempted to go legal at one point or other, as writers and as students. It won't serve the purpose. You have to state that you were buying this essay from them. Please be careful. It should not spoil your student status. They know this weakness and that is how they dare to treat students carelessly.

When I used to write for Masterpapers, I remember revising the essays even after four months. Perhaps they make the students pay for the revision, and tell the writers to do it free! That is possible. I was unaware of any time constraint.

Don't know about heaven America. Here in humble Britain, I have met many writers, who belong to different origins, but write as proficiently as any British writers. Their accent could be different; but writing skills are superb.

I cannot see anything wrong in writers from non-English countries writing in English. All that matters is the hard work and the sincerity. I am sure the language and knowledge will improve with time and serious work.

Frostat, please ask the Asian writers. As I said earlier good and bad companies exist everywhere. It is not a national slur. I do not like to get into your evidence/proof business. Even reading your unending conflicts with EW etc. exhausts me and usually I skip it.

While I agree with you that perhaps these companies are lying to us and continue to do so through their sites, claiming to be American/British companies, I cannot agree that no American company would do such a thing. There are good and bad people/companies in every country.

Anyway, it is not important. What is important is finding good companies, write for them for a start and become excellent research writers. I am not particularly proud of the job I am looking for. But right now, I do not have a choice. Eventually I would like to write research stuff.

I can understand a company rejecting essays that are badly written and not paying. They too have to survive and cannot pay for rejected essays. But I cannot understand companies not paying when the essays are accepted by the customer and the company. Recently Academia sent messages to a writer, who is my friend, that severe complaints were received on two essays and they cannot pay. This is despite the fact that the message from the customers say how happy they are and those messages are still on the board!

You could be right. Academia takes people only for their American branch and pay in dollars. So, naturally we assume that they are an American company, as they say so. This particular company, who was Ok for one or two years, is steadily troubling writers now.

As an American, you might not have. But if you were writing from Britain like me, or from any other country, they know that you are helpless. Even Academia, which still owes me money, is supposed to be American.

They pay in dollars. I will definitely let you have the name. I was keeping all the depressing details; but deleted quite recently. I am sure the name will be there somewhere.

You must ask Asian writers. They will tell you how often they are cheated by American companies.

Perhaps it is on the cheaper side!
