Hell, yeah. At least I got the guts to say so and I don't need to create oh so elaborate plays to make me seem credible as a writer. I got competence written all over me just like you've got self-promoting one written all over you. :)

Initially, I was here to air my views about how some posters discriminate against ESL writers from the third world. Later on, I posted at my leisure mostly to pester WB (oh, happy times). On the side, some posters who saw my talents invited me for projects. I accepted some, rejected others. This forum isn't really a good place to pick up customers but yeah, I do manage to pick up a few. Evidently, none of them ever complained. I'm a writer and of course just by being here, I am already promoting my services as a writer. Every time I manage to sound smart and make a fool of other people, I increase the chances of some passerby student noticing what I can do for him. While that brings in some extra dough, it's not really the reason why I'm here.

I'm here for the amusement. ^_^ So..... what now? ^_^

Good. I'm glad you guys are finally learning. No one here will stop you from promoting a site (except maybe the mods) but you have to be able to take the heat that comes with your actions.

Hey Lav, what I don't get is, why are they so affected by all this? I mean, are they so frustrated because they thought that since WB is out of action, this board would be kinder to sites attempting to promote? I just gave my thoughts on the matter and never even qualified my thoughts as facts yet they attacked me vehemently. If they can't take the heat, then they shouldn't have tried to promote their fledgling site here in the first place.

Sigh.. no it's not. The point I'm making is that it's virtually impossible to verify who's who on this site so all the underhanded promotions won't really account for anything. All you're really doing is making potential clients too confused to even use your service. ^_^


Err.. the thing is, I really don't care what you believe. You're a writer, not a client. Also, this place isn't the best place to obtain clients in the first place. In my 2 years here, I've only acquired like 5 direct clients and only a couple of those stuck with me for more than a couple of assignments.

Ok, here's my two cents. It's pretty obvious that OxbridgeResearchers, supposed owner of thessayist.com is attempting to conduct a surprisingly all-out campaign to promote the said site. Like I said before, there's nothing wrong with that. Now, OhCrap, Jennifer199, Queen25 and OxbridgeResearchers couldn't all be the same person. Admin did however reveal that Jennifer199 has multiple accounts and there's another post by serene I think that sort of proves that two of the above mentioned accounts belong to the same person who's probably using a proxy server. So I'd say that there's probably two to three people working together for this elaborate marketing plan.

The question that I'm wondering about now is, what's their plan? Do they really expect to win clients in these efforts? Again, I'm certainly not against self-promotion. I'm just intrigued at what they hope to accomplish here. ^_^

The test seems authentic to me too. I think that the same thing happens to orders in other large companies (such as essaywriters.net) if no writer takes them.

As for your concern rosebuddy, I guess the trick is never to shell out that much cash if you're using the service for the first time (I think someone else mentioned this exact same advice somewhere here). In mentioned by another poster (FreelanceWriter if I'm not mistaken), find not just a site but a writer in a site (or working independently) that you are satisfied with and stick with that writer.

Last time I heard, writing another person's homework is fraud. How long will it take for that cockamamie noggin' of yours to accept that this business is a fraudulent business by nature? :P ALl the students who EVER complained on this site complained because THEY NEEDED THEIR HOMEWORK DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE but they were let down. ^^

What students and writers understand is that this entire business of writing homework is a shady business. You can't say that there's a legal place for selling ecstasy in the same way that you can't say that there's a legal place for selling homework. That's why the "legality" argument is so poor. What matters in this business is competence and this is the only acceptable standard for students in selecting a site. If any service is truly crappy, this site would be filled with complaints about that site's work and/or customer service quality.
