Well, based largely on the feedback from this thread, I decided to try out custompapers as well. I am just so overwhelmed between work, school, and family life, I needed help with research and "the mechanics" of papers. I will keep you posted!

Well, I've used custompapers twice now, and I must say I am quite impressed. The papers were well written, and quite intelligent; downright impressive considering that the topics were very heady and in-depth technical papers. And make no mistake, I do mean technical! They netted me a mid and high B-level from selecting college and very good. I submitted a third request and tried graduate and very good (yes it is actuality a graduate level course, so kudos to custompapers' author for writing it at a lower level and doing quite well). I'll report back as to what the differences were between the two levels and how it did. Won't be till the end of November/beginning of December though.

Custompapers' writers got them back to me by the promised deadlines and provided the writer's name and email should I have any questions or additional changes. Replies were a little slow from the writer, but I'm sure that was only because they were inundated with work. I have some more work to send their way, but they are unique in that they require ultra quick turnarounds and outlines that require the prof's approval before committing to the topic. I'll report on how well custompapers responds to these special requests and their performance as well. They certainly seem open about working with me and it's great to work directly with my writer.

I went through a few issues in getting emails from them myself. I had to be proactive and email them and my writer for follow up status reports. If they sent me a newly composed email, I wouldn't get it. BUT, if the writer replied to one of my emails, I would get it everytime.

They kept telling me that it was my spam filter, but I wasn't using one. As it turned out, my ISP was! I had them add custompapers onto their internal allow list, no problems so far. Lookiing for that grad level paper this Friday.

Hmm...gathering from the inference by Martha in a reply to you, I would guess that the refund was issued because the paper failed to produce a passing grade.

I've been doing business with Academic Paper Editors (PE) for a little over a year now and I have never had a major issue. Is it a perfect service? No! Have problems arisen? Yes!

Editor Printer MachineFor the most part, all the papers I have received from Academic Paper Editors have been anywhere between good to great. Some required editing to meet the demanding nature of a professor, and some have been of a quality far surpassing my expectations. Over the year I have learned a few tricks that can easily apply to any writing service.

(1) Place some lead time in your deadline. Don't require a due date that is actually the night before your paper is due. This will not provide sufficient time if there is a problem with the paper or if the paper is late. I typically require my ordered paper one week before the actual due date. This allows extra time if the delivery is late (mail servers do sometimes fail to deliver email in a timely manner), if there is a problem with my paper, or if I need to edit a paper in accordance with the original requirements or to make it match my writing style (good professors can tell the difference).

(2) Be extremely forthcoming in providing the writer ALL the requirements, notes, and supporting information you can. I have been known to inundate some of the writers with comments and material BEFORE the paper is written. This avoids misunderstandings and increases the chances that the paper will be delivered near perfect for your intended use. In the past, I have received a paper or two that did not meet my specifications; however thanks to the padded time I built into the project, PE has always rewritten the paper to meet those specifications without charge. These have been instances in which I had provided the requirement beforehand and it had gone either unnoticed or overlooked.

Having said that, there are a few things PE could do to make it a much better service. There is no quality control before the paper is delivered. You place your order, PE brokers the assignment to a writer, the writer sends the paper to you directly without review or checking by PE to make sure it meets specifications. A pet peeve is that whenever I order a paper in APA format, the margins are always wrong, which in effect "cheats" me out of a few pages (depending on the length of the paper). Apparently the only review occurs when you voice a concern after receipt. As far as I know, this is the only time PE and the writer sit down and match requirements with the paper.

One last point I would like to make. The paper stands on its own. You order the paper, receive the paper and read it before turning it in. It may very well be an excellent paper as far as you and the writer are concerned, BUT neither of you are assigning the grade. It all boils down to what the professor thinks of the paper, which is simply impossible to predict.

Case in point, I have been having an extremely rough time with one class and have had two writers from PE working on different segments. One track consistently received higher grades and praise than the other. Thinking that one writer may be connecting with the teacher a bit better than the other, I tried switching writers and tracks. The writer who received higher grades (track 1) actually received the same lower grade and same criticisms as the other writer (track 2) and vice versa. The moral is simply that sometimes, regardless of the quality of work that is submitted and who writes it, some teachers will never be satisfied or happy with it.

Essay Services / Scammed by Ivythesis [12]

2 weeks before my thesis due date

Seriously...you expected a theis from a legit site in less than two weeks? Not a paper mind you, but a full-fledged thesis? The fact that they took your order with that short deadline should have been a red flag. The second is the fact that the site is constantly trying to push trojans onto your system.
