How do they know the art of scamming so well?

It may (will) cost you more, but don't say a paper will be x pages long, when the instructions ask for an x+5 page-long paper. As far as I know, writers can't easily charge more money for papers that go beyond what you paid for, so PLEASE don't say it will be four pages long when asking for a 2000-word essay, or (and I have seen this) that it's two pages long, when the instructions flat-out ask for five pages. If you do this, you will not have your work completed.

Good question, but if the agency is paying you 10-16 bucks, do you really think they're charging the clients $15-20? Go to your agency's customer website and see how much they charge per page. Then take off 25%, charge that, and you'll still be making well above $15-20 per page. Granted, with agencies you have a wider variety to choose from and much better security for getting paid, but you can easily make double what they pay you when you take on private clients.

I'd say a mixture of both is best. It's what I aim for.

I think that, for a customer purchasing an essay, the two are intertwined: a capable, talented writer or group of writers can build their business by writing quality works and charging an appropriate amount for them. Incapable writers can't get by with writing crappy essays, so they resort to scamming, by undercutting competition's prices, producing a poor paper, and then forcing the customer to maneuverer through numerous paths in order to get any sort of refund or service.

When it comes to the company's writers, though, I don't think incompetence can explain why so many services are accused of unfairly fining their employees or refusing to pay. That's just greed and a scam.

Dang, that is how you run a successful paper-writing business. Why they need that many is beyond me, though... no kill like overkill, perhaps?

I feel like that could easily bring a lot of unwanted attention, especially from the intrepid university paper reporter who decides to do an investigative piece on this sort of thing. Plus, advertising on Facebook can be really expensive, especially for a start-up.

Hahaha, that made me imagine an eHarmony-esque system that paired writers with those who needed essays. I can see the commercial now:

"I used essayHarmony, and got paired up with PaperScryb4783. My essay was in broken English and half of it was a Wikipedia article... I guess I should have checked Yes for 'Writes in decent English' and 'Will not plagiarize.' Thanks essayHarmony!"

Linda is obviously working with seeyogeshwagh, or likely IS seeyogeshwagh. seeyogeshwagh clear knows no English, and is using Google translate--that's the only explanation for these rambling, Dylan-esque posts.

Personally, I find them hilarious. And I question this "Pay everything after" approach when the writer is clearly incapable of using English.

A quick look indicates that they claim they've been in business for at least four years, and yet all transactions are done by PayPal and they require 50% up front. Plus, all of the staff pictures are broken links. Though they do offer to meet in person if desired... so it's mixed messages for me.

Caveat emptor. I think that's as much as I can say.

Yeah, Ivory Research has been mentioned here as being pretty awful. If you already have a paper (albeit a bad one), your best bet may be to contact a writer directly and see if they can make something with it. Try someone here, or at EssayChat.
