EssayFreelance.com?? Is it legit?

Hey everyone!

I just joined this forum and I'm a new writer. I joined EssayFreelance.com last month and I've done a couple jobs since then. It never occurred to me that this might be a scam, but now I want to make sure before I complete any more jobs. We are supposed to get paid on the 10th of every month, and I suppose I'll find out then. Although, I was wondering if people had any problems with them in general. I couldn't find anything negative on the internet and they have been around for a few years, but then I haven't found anything positive either.

Thanks!!!

Hey, just looking for a follow-up to this post. I came across essayfreelance also. What was your experience with them? Were you paid the amount you were promised, on time?

Thanks for the feedback!

Essay FreelanceWell, it appears that this company is located in the middle of nowhere in the United States.

Although the server is located in the U.S. there isn't any available information regarding an exact location nor verifiable contact details for this website. Majority of the guests to their page come from Italy or the Ukraine.

This tells me that the site services ESL students who are looking for bargain writing services. It is more than likely that the company also employs ESL writers also.

I am not sure if this company can be trusted when it comes to the way it treats their writers due to highly secretive nature of the company. It is very difficult to gain any verifiable information about the company which tells me that they are hiding something from both the students and their employees / writers.

If any writer decided to apply for a job there or if any student hires their services, I advise that you do so at your own risk.

I wonder is she received her pay, if she's still working for them, or what.

The website is a one-pager with minimal links to apply and contact. There's no info about the company itself. A red flag, though, the info on what a writer can make states: "The sky is the limit. The more orders you complete the more you will earn. Our prices start upwards from $5/page. The more topics you can cover, the more orders you can take."

So, basically, like all others we're warned against... they pay next to nothing. I would also NOT be comfortable signing with a company before I know who/what that company really is.

As far as I know, PayPal no longer works with academic writing companies. Yet this company claims to still be receiving student payments through Paypal. They claim that the students can protect their payment data this way. That may be true but, I thought Paypal cut ties with all academic writing companies already? Is there a way around the system that not all the writing companies are aware of? If they can lie about Paypal, what else could they be lying about in their blurbs? Why am I even asking that question? The response hits you in the face the deeper you go into their pages.

I find it difficult to believe that this company is still hiring writers at this point. The url that was provided leads directly to a writer recruitment and (then) application page. It seems like a pretty straightforward application process but does not speak of how the payments are to be collected from the company. I believe that any writer who would like to consider applying at this company should do some digging first. There isn't enough information out there to prove that this is a legitimate, rather than a scam company.
The opinions are that of the author's alone based on an individual capacity. Opinions are provided "as is" and are not error-free.

There's probably an endless number of desperate unqualified writers who apply for work from any company they find without doing any research about it, just as there's an endless number of gullible first-time customers who fall for the promises of scam companies without doing the minimal amount of research necessary to find a legitimate and trustworthy provider.
