how long til the next round of complaints about EW failing to pay its writers? two months? three? why don't these posts about EW paying on time this pay period just serve as the exception that proves the rule?

What is up with all of the pathetic, unqualified, ESL writers who aren't good/smart enough to obtain their own accounts? Seriously, if you can't get hired by the Ukrainian fraudsters behind essaywriters.net (who will hire anyone with a pulse), you must be a total moron.

Yes, banks charge for wire transfer services. Sometimes the fees are made public, other times, they don't announce it and the writer just gets surprised by the amount of deductions that the transfer receives once it enters the account of the writer. Do not be surprised by the amount of the charge. It all depends upon the amount of money transferred. It can be higher or lower in fees, depending upon the transferred amount. As a freelance writer, consider this a service fee for not having a regular employer. You pay a transfer fee equivalent to the amount you earned and transferred.

The gig economy has ushered in the advent of various money transfer methods beyond bank transfers and PayPal. These could be currency based money transfer services via fintechs, or, alternative fiat such as Bitcoin and the like. These avenues has lower exchange and transfer fees that can benefit the freelancer that opts to use the service. He just has to choose the best transfer service for himself or, ask the company which alternative payment method they offer that has the lowest service rates. Banks are practically the last transfer channel a gig player considers these days. They always charge more and payout less to those who need to convert the dollars to their local denomination.
