Where to publish work that wasn't paid for?

Hi,

I wrote an essay on behalf of an essay company and they did not pay me for it. I now want to publish the work so that, in the event it is used, plagiarism will be detected. Does anyone know where I can do this? I have tried scribd but a search on key words doesn't find the paper.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Apparently there is a forum here for that. I'm curious to hear if it works?

Well, apparently, it at least "works" in satisfying writers' desire for retaliation/justice.

So you are saying that it doesn't work?
My question was a fair one. If I post a stolen paper on here - will the school plagiarism system pick it up?

Probably. It's a risky chance if you try it though.

Content PublisherIf you want to do some serious damage to this person, you should submit the paper to as many plagiarism checkers online that you can.

Turnitin is a definite must. Then there is grammarly, that checks fro both grammar and plagiarism possibilities, and some other new sites that store a copy of the original submission in their server for the purposes of future essay and research paper checking.

Most professors and teachers use Turnitin so you will be more than assured that the essay will show up in any instance.

You can also just publish the paper openly on blogs or forums and the plagiarism checkers will normally send the results back in with the paper.

There are so many creative ways to do damage that I pity the fool who did not pay you for the paper. It is just right that you render the paper useless after you put in all that work for nothing.

Do Turnitin first. That is where you can do the most damage as that is the most popular online plagiarism checking tool to date.

While Turnitin and Grammarly will do the job, the surefire way to keep the paper constantly in the crosshairs of the search engines is to start a blogsite, publish the paper there, and keep it there. Wordpress offers effectively searched free blogs so that site might be able to help the OP accomplish what he wants to do. This could also work for future problems based on a similar situations. Just make sure to include the creation date for the essay so that the date stamp of the website will not override the actual writing, not publication date, of the essay.

I am wondering though as to why the OP was not paid for the paper. Was there an unsatisfied client or a client scamming the company to get a free essay? Or was his work that bad that the client could not use the paper so the company refused to pay the writer? Whatever the reason, I hope that the OP was able to amicably resolve the issue.

Yes, I've known of writers doing this as well as submitting to Turnitin and Grammarly. Thankfully, this is a rare instance as the majority of serious writers (i.e. this is their career) collect payment before beginning a project.

Note: Never send a completed order to a client until payment is received IN FULL! ;)
Better yet, don't even start until payment is received.

While it's understandable that the OP was angry at the company, publishing the work in this type of situation is much more likely to harm a customer who did nothing wrong to the writer and who probably had no idea that the writer didn't get paid for the project.

Come to think of it, I may have had a knee-jerk reaction in this instance. Upon repeated reading, I came to see that the OP never mentioned if the reason he was not paid was because he did a bad job at it and he was fined till nothing was left of the total order cost, if the client found his work to be unusable so he demanded a full refund, or, as implied in the post, the company simply decided not to pay the writer. The reasons behind which, he left unclear in his post. Therefore, I agree with @FreelanceWriter, posting to the anti-plagiarism sites may be do the client, who may not know about the non-payment issue with the writer, more damage than good.

I stand by my comment only if it can be proven that the client was unfair in his treatment of the writer and the writer can prove he did a good job on the paper. Otherwise, It is definitely not in the student's best interest to have his paper published publicly for plagiarism notation.

I agree that publishing the paper via a blog site is the best way to get even with the company. A blog site will keep the paper there long after the student has graduated and has gone on to working within his chosen profession. However, I have my doubts as to whether the paper being kept on a server for eternity will make any difference. A blog site that is inactive will eventually be retired by the company offering the service. I am assuming of course that @Write Review was referring to the use of a free blog to house the said paper. I doubt that anybody would go out of his way to use a paid blog site to house the paper that long. So the purpose of publishing the paper on a blog site will eventually be defeated by the need of the blog sponsor to free up server space.
