What's the difference between a draft and an essay?

I can answer that: A draft is something that people who don't write essays for a living assume those of us who do rely on to do our jobs. I've had customers message me asking me to send them the "rough draft" that I used to write their essays. They don't imagine that we just sit down and write their essays the same way they imagine that we spend 3 or 4 days writing a 4-pg essay when we may write 5 of those in a typical day. They don't realize it may be the 20th time we've written the same exact basic essay on a standard college freshman topic either. I get messages all the time from customers asking how their essay "is coming along" days before it's due when I'm about a dozen essays away from even looking at theirs yet. Once in a while, I've had customers ask me to write them a separate draft and essay. We can do that, but it's not our usual process and we'll probably just write the essay and then create a plausible draft after the fact to meet their requirements.

Sometimes customers may have too many demands. for example, a customer may order a 3-4 page paper, then demand a draft and the right to speak to the writer yet the instructions for the order are quite clear (analyze the effects of Salomon vs Salomon on the formation of companies). Its understandable to want to talk to the writer, but demanding a draft for such a short paper and on such a direct topic may be unreasonable. Okay, but it may be understandable for a high school kid.

As I understand it, they delivered the paper. Why did you ask for a refund? Why must they be 'closed down. The nature of your complaint hardly justifies your call for their closure.

Customers / students - here are a few truths:

1) we do not produce drafts

2) we do not write up notes while researching

3) we find it unbearable when asked to change the FONT or correct a couple of typos

4) we find incessant messaging a waste of time. Please do not expect writers to be at their computers and at the site 24/7 just waiting for any incoming messages so that they may respond on the spot

I insist all of the above comments are not true. They try to defend the site but believe me it is a fraud. Never order from essayacademia. Anyway the police will close down the site in a few days.

No. I sm not defending the site at all. If you see my comments on another thread, I attacked them. I believe that they probably sent you an unusable piece of work. However, you need to clarify the nature of your complaint - not just that try sent you a draft.

If you can close them down, good for you! You will be doing others a wonderful service.

To close them down, however, you need to phrase your complaint differently.

No one is defending this site. Your complaint is totally vague and your planned response is laughable. The police do not get involved in business fraud cases, at least not immediately; these are matters handled by courts and they tend to take years to go anywhere. also, you have failed to explain what you mean by saying you received "only a draft" of the paper you ordered--was it complete? Did it address the topic you had requested? What was it about the document you received that makes you call it a "draft" and not an "essay"?

All of the people who have responded ti your post have tried to be helpful, but you remain belligerent and uncooperative. This makes it increasingly likely that you are not even a real customer, but a site owner/employee trying to defame a competitor. I don't know that this is the case, but it's happened here before.

Again, if you clarify your complaint you will get better advice and a little more compassion.

Even if I were to believe that you weren't a dishonest spammer, you are hardly in a position to evaluate quality. Judging by your writing, you wouldn't know a typo if it hit you in the face ...

OK that is my story: I placed an order in October 1st (30 days delivery) for a 50 pages dis with 50 sources.

Harvard style and double spaced. During the first 10 days I asked for a final draft of the dis but the writer always postponed the delivery. I suggested some things of course about the dis.

I complaint about the delivery of the final draft and they changed the writer!!! The new writer gave me a rough draft after some days but not final draft again. I started to worry very much cause again he postponed all the time the delivery of the final draft.

In October 30 they uploaded a 10 pages draft, no references, bad grammar and they considered it as completion of order!!!! Since the 15th day the live chat never responded to me again.

Also I tried to call them during the delivery time and at the end but no answer. They even deleted, after some hours, all the data of my order from the site since I asked for a refund!!!!! So? Wasn't that enough for me to go to the police? I paid more than 1.000$ for it.

While it certainly sounds like you got scammed, asking for ANYTHINg prior to the deadline you set yourself when you ordered your paper was unreasonable. Assuming for argument's sake that you had ordered your paper from a legitimate website, the writer probably wouldn't have started working on your dissertation until Oct. 27 if the deadline was the 30th. Chances are, you were a major pain in the a$$ and the original writer didn't want to deal with you anymore.

Now, that being said, if you ordered 50 pages and only received 10, you are definitely entitled to a refund, and if they won't provide one you should start a chargeback proceeding with whatever company you used to make a payment. The difference between what you call a "rough draft" and a "final draft" still isn't clear, however; most essay writers working in this industry do not write multiple drafts for each order they take--I write my papers one time only (I write them right the first time).

I'm sorry you got screwed, but the police aren't going to get involved and I am truly thankful that I wasn't the writer that had to deal with you.

If you pay more than 1.000$ for something you want some service. The fact that I asked for a final draft is not an excuse for not delivering a paper that I have paid for. Also, if you do not discuss the subject with the writer how he or she can deliver the paper you want. In that case no one should order papers from all these sites. It is useless, and waist of time. They shouldn't exist at all.

Absolutely--no one is arguing this fact, but you should clearly explain what you want when you place your order, and not have a bunch of additional instructions after a writer has accepted your order. And you still haven't explained how a "final draft" is different from a "rough draft" in your experience.

Don't generalise. Yes, many are scam sites but there are several excellent sites out there. Do not lump us all together.

While you had no right to ask for any part of your paper prior to the deadline you set and paid for, it is apparent that you were taken for a ride. Do you know who their payment processor is? Write to them, asap, and inform that that you did not receive the service/good paid for. At the same time, call your credit card company and initiate a chargeback.

There is no independent rating organization for this industry. The only way to determine the reliability and quality of any company is to read about them on forums like this, make logical inferences based on their webcopy and claims, and ultimately ordering with them.

the 24/7 online chat service is not working, it says that operators are not available.
as for the phone contacts, neither the US nor the UK phone answers. Plus they dont have any email address to contact them. Just today I emailed the writer to send me the dissertation completed by a week's time otherwise I demand a refund...I dont think they will either complete anything or refund me though.. :(

I see they have quite a few options to get a hold of them: facebook page, twitter and forum.

How do you get in touch with the writer? direct email?

If you wish to email them i think you can try the following: compose the message and try to send it to support@domainname.com or info@domainname.com

and get in touch with your bank to discuss possible options.

I dont think that the bank will refund me though...this is my responsibility. There is a kind of email conversation with the writer and i used to talk to him/her frequently until the 31 december when he dissapeared. Ive emailed the officer of essayaccademia as well ive posted my complaint to the forum in the website where many people can see it.

The bank will not (generally) send your money to a company that does not provide the product you paid for. It's called a chargeback. Contact them and see.

Not quite so - chargeback can only be initiated after submitting some sort of fraud claim. After an investigation the transaction is rolled back. But there's a certain period of time, within which you can apply for a chargeback. And most likely this period of time is over for scorcher47

Yeah. Like telling your bank/credit card company over the phone that you've been defrauded. It isn;t complicated. The window might have elapsed, but this varies from bank to bank and is often 90 days.

I went to my bank and told them ive been defrauded. They told me they are gonna send me a form to make a fraud claim and when i post it ill get compensated for the money lost. :)))

I would like to confirm and verify the essayacademia.com[DND*] is a FRAUD and SCAM website. Pls. do not use it. They have messed up my dissertation project big time. Absolutely unreliable and pathetic company. They have failed to meet any of their own set deadlines, lied all the way and provided rubbish text in response, and disappeared mysteriously with out any feedback. They do not respond to the phone calls or reply otherwise. They are bunch of liars, scammers and fraudsters cheats based out INDIA while pretending to be a USA based company. They tried to cheat and steal my money and never delivered what they promise on their website, dumped rubbish instead and closed the order as fulfilled.

They are quite arrogant, rude and very unprofessional appears like bunch of teenagers running this website and ripping people for fun sake. Anyways I have taken them to the task and now in process of reverse charging my payment to them via y credit card company.

I'm also filed a complain to PayPal, however Paypal is another nightmare company to deal with just visit these two websites and see what a **** and messed up organization PayPal is:

Any how here are the steps you need to take to teach ESSAYACADEMIA a lesson:

- File a transaction dispute claim with your credit card company
- File a complain against them with PayPal
- Got to Blogs and Forums like this one to post your views and share your experience online for others to know and be aware.
- I also may take a legal action against PayPal in UK as well for supporting and sustaining fraud online business like essay academia.

Hi pal, seems we had exactly the same experience and recently. It sucks to be the victim of such a fraud and to realize that in forums like this after uve been defrauded. I agree that we should all adopt the steps u mentioned to prevent others from getting defrauded from that ripoff company. Anyway u dont need to deal with paypal directly, u just need to contact your bank to arrange a chargeback by completing a relevant fraud claim. After posting this claim ull get your money back within a month's time. Good luck!

So far i had 4 essay's done by them. All four of them, i got distinctions. Only the last one the writer couldn't finish on time due to the complex nature of the assignment. But the website did refunded the money back to me. In my opinion, i think it all depends on the writer you get. I still rate them well.

I blamed myself for not doing a thorough research about EssayAcademia last week and after reading through all these, I kinda contacted the writer via their homepage a while ago, and the way they replied me is getting less professional, and I started to worry as I expect to get the end product in 7 hours time from now.

The draft they sent me did look convincing though.

I made the mistake of ordering a paper from them and shortly after a friend came across your forum. I already contacted paypal and they claimed to have contacted the site. Paypal gurantees that I will receive my money back on this transaction. I was able to contact them before the money actually went through the system and I contacted essayacademia again and they claim they will cooperate. What do you guys think? I mean do you think I will get money back and everything will be okay? or will I probably have to go to my bank and request a chargeback?
