Well, I'm rather thankful that most online paper mills never cooperate with plagiarism checking sites and organizations. That would really affect me. As for students getting caught off my work, so far none of them have been caught. While I normally consider submitting someone else's work as your as plagiarism (since all papers I've ever submitted under my name were made by me and me alone), the fact that these people hired someone else to write, and paid for it, means that they automatically become its owner. It should not be considered plagiarism.

P.S. I know people who think up of a proper way to make a patent document, hired to write down claims for certain inventions (The inventor finds it difficult to express it himself.). They are paid, but you never find their name on the patent document(and they're fine with it), do you?

Technically, this does not discuss the operations of the site itself, but the content of their advertisement, so I'm not breaking forum rules by reviving this. :) Anyways with regard to those goddamn paper mills, as essaywriters has never scammed me, and I'm fully paid (though I must admit half of the time my payments were delayed), I have no complaints. :)

The company aside, it depends on the kind of writer who picked up and started to work on the paper you requested. Don't blame everything on the company itself. Not all writers who work for these paper mills have god-like writing skills, remember that. :)

Not all freelance writers share the same sentiment. Personally I don't mind. Once they get the paper and I am paid, like hell I care what they do with it. Thing is, a friend of mine was infuriated when the essay she wrote, made upon request, was used as the speech of the president of a certain school, where she herself actually works. So I'd like to find out if there are others who shared the same view as her.

If you are really the student version of turnitin, then there's no risk. Of course, there are very few, isolated issues, which indicate that some bugs occur with the service. If it happens to you though, man that sucks.

Although I have not read any paper or study on this matter, I would assume that about 1/2 of all customers gets are either scammed or get a low-quality output from their writers. I believe this is true. I am a writer, not a customer, so I cannot tell for sure, but these people who pay us dough to do their papers for them are making a huge gamble.

Nope. It's morally wrong, and students who pay others to do the tasks assigned to them, from short essays to research papers will not learn anything except how to buy a paper. Then again, I have nothing against it as I'm one of those who benefit from their laziness and lack of self-confidence. (I'm a writer, after all.)

Good companies don't regularly hire bad writers, and they will release these writers and refund/rewrite subpar work when it is discovered.

Yes, it's true. However:

1. Even if there is some of test/screening to ensure that all their writers have necessary skills, even these writers have their own specialties, as well as inabilities. Thing is, even these supposedly good writers sometimes take up jobs which they know they can't do properly.

2. In good companies when writers are paid on time, writers normally convert their payment to cash ASAP. I know this is a bad practice of writing companies, but they normally ignore the client's complaints in this kind of situation (although they also remove the writer from their work force.).

3. What is the point of submitted god-like, high quality work, if it cannot be submitted by the client on time?

Anyone with a thinking brain will realize that any company no matter how big will have unreasonable clients posting complains.

Well, even allegedly good companies can make mistakes. However, as far as I can see in this case, attempting to blackmail the student into giving up his refund by contacting his school is definitely an underhanded maneuver.

Nope. What I'm saying is that business means being heartless. These paper mills are businesses, if you get what I mean. Business is business.

Yeah you have a point. My statements are confusing, sorry about that. ^_^

What I meant is that any move a company makes, are all part of their strategy to well... earn money. What I meant by being "heartless" is that being good or evil does not matter, as long as they continuously earn.

What I'm trying to say is that if the topic starter's story is all true, then it's no reason to call the company a just because of a few isolated cases. This is to be expected.

2. In good companies when writers are paid on time, writers normally convert their payment to cash ASAP..

This is what I mean.

No company will allow their business to go down. I think they have (or will be able to cook up) a very rational and reasonable excuse for their course of action.

@Bold We have different views after all. I'm defending mine based on personal experience (plus supporting details) but I'm not saying yours is wrong either.

This isn't necessarily true. Many companies retain the copyright to the work produced, and it says so in the purchase agreement.

Forgot about the license agreements. Thanks for pointing that out, although if they are not part of the agreement, then.... ^_^.

This is an entirely different scenario. It's like trying to compare hired academic writing to ghostwriting.

Not really. There are cases when the invention being claimed is a student output.

Getting an A should be a student's responsibility and the companies/writers know it but promising grades makes a very good business strategy.

Yep. It's thanks to these lazy bums that I've got a sideline which is a good source of income.

If I go to a physical library, might I find you there?

I rarely ever get to use books as my references when I write (paper/print copies). Normally, the sources I use are from the internet. I remember only one time when a good source happens to be in our local library.

To me they're the same thing. The lawyer is the one who patches up, notarizes and help process the patent document. The writer of the document though is someone else. So long as you make someone else write something which you ought to be writing, it's just the same as making someone write an essay for you.

The most successful businesses operate in the way I say. I'm sure you also know this to be true, even if you don't admit it. :)

The extent of violation is not the issue here. It is the fact that as long as it's good for business, they will do it, whether it be an angelic or demonic action. Businesses do not acknowledge either good or evil, all they see is profit. :) That's what I mean.

^ Although to most that is indeed an acceptable practice, and lawful (undeniably), it's definitely a no-no for me. I'll stop here since we'll definitely never agree on this issue. :)
