Freelance writers - why don't you start a company and work on your own?

If you want to really have a writing company that can be relied on for a steady income, I believe that a writer cannot be a one person company. I started my own company only after I had worked for a writing company for over a decade. Having saved up enough, I was able to launch my own server, pay for promotion campaigns, and hire a few staffers and writers to help the company get off the ground. It isn't easy to get the company launched, it is even harder to keep it running on your own. I have staff because I want to be of help to other writers and employ people whom are personally known to me as jobless. I run my company from my heart, which is why I could never start a company and work just for myself. Sure I have a steady income now, and I basically work for myself. I am happy about that, but, I am even happier that I am able to help others in the process.
