There's the catch. Placing fake logos gives credibility to the webpages, and when the students move on to making a payment, the transaction actually takes place via the secured https channel offered by an e-commerce gateway.

Important point. My recent research has involved examining a number of site protection seals, wildcards, SSL certificates, and so on. I was surprised by the fact that even some good companies (or websites I should say) use fake logos. The problem is finding such logos since a search engine may not be able to locate such an 'image' on a webpage.

But it's a VERY effective way to 'fool' consumers/clients as already noted by you.

You know using a debit card is not so safe as a credit card because the safety mechanisms for a debit card are almost absent since the money is directly deducted from your account.

Now, when the payment has been made without any third party involved. The dispute is about the product that you received. As it is a virtual good, I think things are going to be really messy.

Whether she works from home or has a office is only important if she represents false information, i.e., if her house address and other such information are different from what is given on the website.

Thus, it is about deciding whether you DID receive a bad product or not. I am not sure how the small claim court can do that - hire an academic writing expert? Doesn't sound practical.

I think an academic essay writer has 1) Natural talent/passion for writing, 2) tendency to work individually, 3) is a bit less social, 4) well-versed in new communication technologies, 5) believes in honest living.

Depends on the client! I think today majority of the clients are conscious enough of receiving a product as good as they pay for. I think it is mainly due to the increasing instances of writing scams over the Internet. Today Google returns more scam stories and complaints about different companies than it did, say, some five years ago. Additionally, perhaps, people are now more used to using the Internet for different purposes (online shopping) than ever before.

Clear communication is very critical to producing a satisfactory piece of writing. To me, oftentimes unclear instructions badly affect the quality of a paper more than anything else. It is also true that sometimes a client is unable to communicate to you what they really want.

First, you don't know how to argue and be polite. Second, there are surely times when I have to write this much a day. I am sure other writers would agree to it. Why is it so hard for you to accept it? You live in Utopia.

By stating that you do not want to use the search box clearly tells me that you do not have the heart to confront reality; it also suggests that you're a stubborn person who is not convinced by rational arguments but by self-deception.

Many writers on this forum have stated the same thing over and over. Mind spending a bit of your time using the search-box?

I think the number-of-pages-per-day is a varying thing. As I am and ESL writer, my workload my differ from that of FWL or any other established NS.

Secondly, it also depends on your commitment to freelance work - whether you're doing it full time or part time.

Last, it also depends on the months of the year. Some months are busier than others; some are even plain peaceful. It is possible for a busy writer to do justice to even 40-50 pages a day in the essay industry's spring season.

But, to me the most important thing is the quality of work that matters and not the number of pages.

I belong to Pakistan where Urdu and English are the two languages that we need to deal with in academia and elsewhere. I think there are surely many opportunities available in these languages as well. I am quite sure of the Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) language because I have personally communicated with a few writers in that market.

Secondly, my experience as a language learner tells me that language learning is a matter of personal interest, and more importantly, exposure to that language. Possibly, you've had not much exposure to French though you have been living there for the past 3 years.

Secondly, though I am not invited to this question, I'd like to add that if you're working for a particular group of clients (say they come from institutions in a specific geographical spread), the work pattern seems to yield similar patterns. However, if a writer has clients from different regions (as I work for both native and ESL/EFL student spreading far and wide), honestly work is a 12-month thing. Any writer working in similar niche to that of mine can confirm it.

What you're asking for is not allowed on this forum. I am sure you've gone through a few threads beforehand.

Students give out personal information to their writers only when they feel safe; a writer does not usually have to ask for such information as access to institutional library/database, etc. A professional writer should have everything in place, i.e., how and where to find reliable sources from.

So, could you see you have posted in a dead thread?

This argument has echoed the forum for quite some time. I surely agree with the part that educational institutions allow quite a few students (despite their poor proficiency in English) for high tuition fees. The other part of the picture is that these students are also eager to get admitted to foreign educational institutions not mainly because they want to acquire latest knowledge but because they want to get a foreign degree. There are numerous reasons for which they want to do so. I'm not saying all the students do so, but a good deal of them do.
