@

If you are applying at Uvocorp even after reading about it in this forum, you must be a "ruhtard."

Are you, by any means, implying that Uvocorp writers are retarded?

I joined the writing industry six months ago full of hope. The first months into the business were fantastic because there were lots of assignments to write, and the pay was good. However, the "honeymoon" did not last for long due to the summer holidays. Apparently, this is the period when idle scammers frustrate their writers. Woe unto you if you join a writing company that pays their "newbies" less than $ 4 per page. They even have the audacity to fine their writers on flimsy grounds despite their measly pay! The support staff is made up of rustic, unreasonable and lunatic fellows. This must be the most notorious guys in the industry. I have also come to realize that some of the writing companies promise "heaven" and deliver "hell" to their writers! For instance, they promise a CPP rate of $ 16-30 while in reality, the average CPP rate is less than $ 6! You can call it false advertising, or any other fancy name, but this is outright scamming. Nonetheless, there is no respite from the quest to explore the writing genius in me. Forum members, lets share our good and bad experiences for the benefit of fellow writers and the clients "out there".

Is Essayscam.org affiliated to any academic writing company?

Who owns this site? Is it a free-and-fair site? Do they report the writers who complain on this site to the respective companies? Do they have vested interests? Do they delete posts related to a particular company?

Academia Research, Research Writers Net - and low CPP rates for writers

Academia Research pays writers peanuts! How can a professional writer work for $ 2 per page? I wonder what clients can expect from a writer who works for less than $ 5 per page. I have an account with them, but will never apply for an order. This is slave labor!

General Talk / TurnItIn is stealing our work? [17]

Turnitin is not a good plagiarism checker. But the poster has a valid point that it should not claim rights to the submitted paper.

The discretion to hire lies with the employer. The fact that you were not hired does not make them a scam. Look for other reputable writing companies to work with.

Surely with their poor English, how do they manage to get clients.

It is now oblivious why they did not hire you.

Anyone know what papers a new writer can pick up?

AR will mess up your writing career. Their rates, as I pointed out in another discussion post, are horribly low! I do not understand why a genuine writer would accept to work for $ 2 per page. Despite advertising their services under different names, AR is still playing catch to genuine freelance sites- in terms of the number of orders. It would be better if you try to work with another writing company. If you don't believe me, just do a simple search on this forum. You'll be shocked at the responses from genuine writers.

Evidently that's what they are paying their writers from India, Pakistan or the Philippines.

Sure. RWC pays horribly low rates.

You cannot expect to make Wayne Rooney's kind of money in this industry. It is becoming boring.

sounds like you worked for essaywriters.net, or maybe academia-research.com. they love to bait and switch writers.

Sure.

Clearly, your written English cannot be differentiated from that of a native. Sometimes, I wonder why all the hullabaloo about ESL writers.

There is a major scandal in the offing. (It has come to my attention that) some academic writing companies pay less money per page to their writers from developing countries. For example, a writer registered from a developing country will see a CPP of $ 3 on their panel, while another writer registered from a developed country will see a CPP of $ 6 for the same order. Some people may bluff about the differences in the value of dollar between the two countries, but cut me some slack. This is an unethical system which outrightly discriminates against writers from specif parts of the world. AR is one of the companies perpetrating this ridiculous fallacy.

the real injustice is the fact that these companies are charging customers over $20 a page and still only pay $6 a page even to their "top" writers.

Discriminated WriterUnfortunately, this is the sad reality. On average, most of the example research companies pay their freelance writers less than 35 % of the amount paid by clients.

You should work for a company that only has a bid option.

The essay composition company I work with has a bidding system (they sometimes would offer paid projects to writers they think can complete it well or orders with urgent deadlines). However, there are new writers always willing to work at low rates.

There is no much difference between $3 and $6 so you better off just keeping off such mean companies.

I was just giving an arbitrary figure- no the real rates.

At the end of the day it really is a matter of management intent.

Ditto!

It's exploitation at its worst. Don't be the abused wife who goes back for more.

I feel obliged to inform other people about any underhand activities performed the scammers. Therefore, I will continue to expose the cheats.

Writing Careers / Kenyan Writers - stop hiring them? [162]

I think it is wrong to condemn every Kenyan writer, on the grounds wrong-doing by a few writers. While it could be true that many Kenyan writers offer poor quality work, we should not be misled to think that they are all bad. I am told that some writing companies have about 40-90 % of writers from Kenya. We should just swallow our pride and accept the fact that Kenyan writers are here to stay.

NEVER trust a freelance writer from AFRICA (Kenya especially).

I find this post somehow odd. Clearly, Patrick has an axe to grind with African freelance writers. Nonetheless, it beats logic to argue that "ripping off is in their blood". Think over this statement, and figure out what it actually means.

and will work for $0.01 per word

In my view, $ 0.01 per word is slavery. Even if you work with ESL writers, try to pay them some decent money per page and you will attract the right calibre of writers.

I noticed on this forum and on EssayChat - there are many ads from writers who claim to be native English speakers and claim to have advanced degrees.

Is there anything "African" with this? What evidence can you present to the forum members to support your allegations? If the issue is about anonymous email accounts, then, say it!

After going through this post, my verdict is that your company attracts amateur, and dishonest freelance writers who try everything in their capacity to increase their meagre earnings. If you pay your writers $ 3 per page, then you got what you deserved. You must have though that smart business owners hire cheap writers to get super profits. Who's all the place crying now?

Better to choose a real company without a risk than to hire illiterate Africa mafia.

Your obsession with maligning African writers is delusional. You pay peanuts to your writers, you get trash. What else can you expect? The law of demand Vs supply applies here. Give writers good money and you will get value for your money. It's a simple a class one Maths.

Contact these writers from Essaychat and you'll find out (after investigation), that 80% of them are from Africa.

This is not my job, and I won't it! Who are the 80 % that you contacted? You either give names or you shut up! You owe millions of honest Africans an apology.

I send them a request and ask them for how much they would be willing to do the job.

You should know better... The lower you pay, the greater the amount of trash you'll keep on getting. So, you believe that professional writers would bend to pick you $ 3 per page? Surely, as they say, common sense is not common to all.

Are you writing from a jail, too?

You are just a moron... too bad you do not realize it!

Writerbay Fraudulently Withholds Writers Payments for more than Two Weeks

Writerbay pays its writers once per month during the 16-21 st payment period. I have information that the company failed to transfer writers payments on time during the last month. Apparently, writers using Moneybookers are the ones affected.

I have checked the website, but cannot see any address!! Writers and clients suing Writerbay could be in for trouble!!
